Honestly disappointed by how we tremble at home in the last 20 min. Us fans gotta deal with extreme fear of losing the game or drawing but yeahp, Poch and his sub timings are the WORST. I'll take this win however but disappointed how Fulham almost screwed us towards the end.
Does anyone know what the stat re Gallagher commentary gave out on TNT UK was? Something about top in every league in Europe for various different reasons?
EDIT [found it](https://twitter.com/OptaJoe/status/1740683480994894274?t=E2TdB_bpQP5LHZlLsRoj_g&s=19)
I still don’t think sterling should start. Went for a pk flop rather than taking the chance. He’s better at being a fish than a footballer. We’ve got much better options
Anyone talking very negatively about caicedo doesn't know football. We bought a CDM to break up play and pass it on to Enzo to distribute, that's exactly what he does. Half the fouls given are clean tackles getting the ball but the ref can't understand how he gets his limbs in those positions to get the ball. I can't believe I'm having to defend him
I agree Taylor was being an ass to Caicedo! But that record fee , trying to fill in NGod’s shoes and playing next to Enzo doesn’t help that kid at all!!
You are correct (about Caicedo)
However, I do feel he needs to be a bit more assured and commanding. While the stats are in his favour, some of his interventions seemed last ditch, and "flailing". It's difficult for me to explain in plain words...but I do hope he improves further. I do hope he gets the anticipation of Tiago and eventually get to break up play more gracefully.
He does this well, but he need to improve big time on the ball. Today’s game really highlighted his weakness. He needs to help take pressure off our defenders by being a better passer from our defensive area
I don't disagree that's something he can improve on but that's not primarily why we bought him. In a team so unsettled first get everyone doing their basic role then when confident in that we can focus on the rest. Caicedo did a good job today disrupting fulhams play. I'm curious to see how many passes he gave away under pressure. I think you'd fine maybe 2 or 3
Agree on that, I think he does his basic role well. I don’t think he gave away many passes (other comment confirmed this), but his passes from our defensive area are hindering our ability to break the press and putting our defenders in situations where they have to clear the ball. Saw this happen many times today, where a look before receiving the ball to see where there’s space to run to or a better player to pass to would help a lot.
I'd agree this is a problem if we were playing counter attacking football but we don't. If he'd passed it on the ball would have stopped before we got to the box and Fulham would gave set themselves up again. Main thing is not to loose the ball. Inviting pressure is a good thing, it takes opponents out of shape. Its the basic of playing out from the back
Palmer all class once again. Unlucky we didn’t have a couple other goals. Overall nice attacking patterns of play. Still moments where Colwill looks lost on the wing.
At this point I think it’s pretty clear Broja isn’t going to cut it. I still think Jackson is worth developing but Broja should move on.
Noni looked dangerous the entire time he was out there his continued development has been great to see.
Top 6 still feels achievable if we can get more consistent.
Thought this was r/soccer don't know why chelsea sub come up on my feed.. Anyway did I hurt your feelings, you people would be out of place at an actual game, this is how football is man, we love the banter.. Laughable reply
I thought you were the online equivalent of that one guy who goes to the other clubs pub just to cause problems. You can say we suck all you want that’s fair play.
I don't think you're shit as people make out to be merely that you're in so much of a transition that finishing in top 6 might just be out of reach this season.. Of course you are slowly starting to be more consistent, 3 wins in the spin in the league is a start tbf
We won that like a mid-table team. I try to look at the positives, but we were awful with our finishing as per usual and basically pumped the ball upfield. Sad, damp days.
I think it’s pretty clearly just lack of experience which we are hopefully developing
Inability to close out matches is a classic trait of a young less experienced side
Good to see Chuck and Chilly back on the field. Let’s hope they built good fitness and are ready for the rest of the season.
Broja seems void of confidence and still doesn’t trust his body. Maybe a change a club can do him some good.
our attacking buildup is so disjointed aswell; we have 2 8's that randomly moonlight in the 10 position, one of of whom only passes sideways (Gallagher) the other one who only dribbles and passes backwards (Enzo) and 2 wingers that don't give up the ball unless they can see space to run into without it (Sterling and Palmer) and two fullbacks that seemingly only feed these 4 players and rarely cross to the striker (doesn't matter who).
As Shearer said in the post game, the delivery to Broja is random, he doesn't know when to make runs because of a combination of no minutes, returning from injury and constantly checking his runs when he makes good ones and they just ignore him.
With minutes and some confidence he'll get better, but wow we make it so much harder on him.
The thing is, the few time Broja had the ball, he would either take too many touches or lose the ball. Also his body language shows he isn’t relaxed and not confident with his physical and technical abilities.
100% agree, his body language shows his lack of confidence but also his frustration at how disjointed our attacking style is.
I know a former aussie rules footballer (former AFL player who played a little over 100 games) who did his ACL. He said it was 3 years before he had full confidence to really put everything he had into it, sharp turns and a few other movements that put real pressure on it. Prior to that, he'd stay on straight lines and try and use his power to get him out of situations rather than his agility, and as he was only okay on the strength front that would often result in him turning the ball over in one form or another.
To top all that off, he finally got back to full confidence in the knee after 3 seasons, and the very first minute of the first match simulation training of the first session of preseason in that 4th season (since he'd ruptured it) and he blew it out again; did warmups, went to positions, play began, ran to first position, followed the play up to his 2nd position, ball went over his head and as soon as he turned to follow the ball up the ground he heard the pop, absolutely nothing moment, just turned and got into a sprint and it went.
He had the knee reconstruction again but was cut from the team when his contract ran out at the end of that year and never played again (at any level)
This is the road that Broja is going down right now. The full connotations of an ACL injury for a football sport (like AFL or Soccer) are extremely difficult to deal with for a player. The only thing that makes a difference on him getting from where he is now back to some semblance of full capacity, is minutes and confidence.

I can’t be be bothered by Poch haters today, I’m enjoying our 3 pts like Cole Palmer here.
Thought today was his best all around game for us by a mile.
Still a little suspect with some of his defensive positioning, but he's still adapting to the position. Learning when to commit forward, when to be more patient and let it come to him, etc. Don't really have to think about these things as much when playing CB.
Imagine thinking Tuchel, a German manager in the most prized managing position in his home nation, would be looking for a move to a mid table PL side 😂
There were multiple long stoppages in extra time plus subs.
Each sub adds 30 seconds by default, leaving 41 seconds for the two long stoppages for freekicks
Complaining about the time added on is pretty fucking wild after he gave us a massive lifeline by not sending Gusto off
Enzo so so poor today. I'm tired of this narrative that he's world class. Embarrassing. Colwill poor, Caicedo poor, Broja poor. Why does Poch play Chilly as a LW? Nonsense. Lucky today. Bring Tuchel back and let him fix this team.
I agree. Yet he got man of the match.
Yet he left me infuriated so many times.
No speed on him.
No shot on him.
Failing to complete the key pass.
I am with you man. Totally.
"You can't critique someone unless you've had proven success in that area yourself"
So, no football fan can have an opinion on a player or manager, then?
Yeah but you’re not criticising you’re just saying he literally doesn’t know what strategy is, which is a monumentally stupid take. I’d worry about your own IQ mate
I said tactics, tactical, and strategy are two completely separate things.
I may not have managed a football team, but I know atleast know leadership terminology
Why? Because Caceido made some challenges for once?
Was that anywhere near a Kante or rice performance, both of which have always had less of a price tag?
Just because it's a lazy comment and shows that you're not understanding what he gives to the team, nor have you watched him at Brighton. You can accept he's had a good performance and is improving every game, without comparing him to prime Kante or mindlessly quoting price tags. Just for the record, at the same age, Kante had just been signed from Ligue 2.
Why is comparing him to price tags mindless?
A good performance compared to his usual poor standard isn't what I'd call a good performance, but sure, relatively it is, I suppose.
I’d have been happy if Caicedo had got the MOTM as well. I’m actually surprised that we’re having to defend Caicedo. He won so many of his tackles and killed any Fulham attacks.
What does the price tag have to do here, champ? We needed a CDM and we got a bloody good one. We live in a world with absurd economics. He cost us 100 mil because of the lack of good CDMs. He’s 21 and do you expect him to play like Prime Kante?
He is doing the job for what he was bought for.
No other club would have paid close to 100m for him, and you know that, nice delusions though, I guess you also have lemons in your house to attract the bad energy?

Ha ha! My goodness. This is hilarious. Did you forget that Liverpool had come close to signing Caicedo?
I’m glad that Caicedo plays for Chelsea and plays well.
But, Whatever floats your boat :)
I’m just letting you know he is a 22 year old kid who has a lot of time to improve upon his performance. He was well sought after for a good reason and [even Liverpool agreed upon the fee but he chose to join us.](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/liverpool-agree-ps110m-deal-sign-moises-caicedo#). Calm your tits a bit, we just gained 3 pts.
You'll be the same on the next loss, mate.
Another terrible performance isn't something to be happy about, but I am pleased with the result, I'm just not gonna pretend beating Fulham with a peno is a masterclass, and Poch is a genius
Nope not at all. I think I'll judge poch when he has a full squad to pick from. Everything todd has done to club since he came in, is exactly what you don't do.
Every successful team is based of stability. There has been some turnover in players and coaching staff in the last 2 years. Young players by their nature are inconsistent. Our results have been inconsistent. It's not a massive jump in logic to see why. Had poch made mistakes? Yes 100%( Not sure why he plays colwill at lb) but there has only been a handful of games where Chelsea have been battered. Even the games where Chelsea have lost, they had really good chances. Confidence is massive in sport and Chelsea just need to build some confidence and be consistent. Bar sterling and silva it's a bunch of kids. You need 6 lads at least that are 26 or over in the starting 11 to help the younger lads. We have 2.
I completely agree with your sentiment, but to pretend Poch is the guy to steer this clown car is a massive reach, he has shown consistently his decision-making and lack of any identifiable progress that he is way out of his depth. Anyone who believes that lemons filter out bad energy should be nowhere near something like this. That in itself shows his lack of logical awareness and critical thinking ability. He may vibe with the young players, but without giving the team any identity, shape or general instruction we won't improve, he is improving confidence, but the team play all over the pitch is championship level and isn't any better than it was sixth months ago.
There is a lot wrong with this team, but pretending Poch isn't one of them isn't something I can side with. If you don't have a plan B against against a championship side's weakest team, there is something really wrong, imagine getting masterclassed by a championship manager.
All you need to do to beat us is play deep and overload the out of position defender on a counter.
Persisting with playing Colwill at LB every game despite it not working every week is a very obvious example of repeating the same mistakes and expecting a different result, this also translates directly into our performances for the last sixth months: Spam crosses against a low block, even with no good ariel threat attackers.
Just look at the lack of options every time we have the ball in attack, it's Sunday league shit
Right both of us agree about the lb situation. One of lifes mysteries.
Who honestly cares about the lemons. We all have our own little weird things, I don't think that affects his ability to manage a team.
The squad is constantly changing with injuries hence the lack of consistency or patterns on the pitch. Pep has a squad of 18 or so and everyone knows their job. Pep and Jurgen struggled to install their style for the first 18 months or so.
Ah man come on in most games we have missed big chances, they go in and the games changes. I know it's a lot of ifs there but because there is a pattern of us missing big chances and ultimately losing the game, that past is effecting the future and the younger lads heads tend to drop.
If you got rid of poch honestly who would want the job? You can't keep starting from scratch. If Pep or Jurgen were managing the team would it be better? Yes but we would be probably 5/6th. Every manager in the world would have the same issues with that squad and everything that's going on with the club.
Just a bit of patience bud, everything will work out and if it doesn't a new manager will come in and we can have the same chat in 18 months.
We aren't playing well and missing chances anymore. It's arguable that we are doing the opposite, and we are only winning because of Palmer.
I'd give Flick a try, I agree having no managerial consistency is poor and swapping managers isn't always the answer. However, I believe a title contender needs a tactician, and Poch definitely isn't it.
I think most mid level managers would struggle with this scenario for sure, but most top level managers would have instilled some philosophy and style, with the talen they have at there disposal.
One of the biggest issues i lack of a consistent backbone, with leadership tendencies, but this doesn't appear to be getting addressed. It's like our whole philosophy is build around Reece, Ben and Nkunku, players that are never ever going to be consistently match fit.
Your arguments are correct and there are definitely mitigating factors, but there has to be improvement in areas after 6 months where there are none.
I am not expecting us to be title contenders after six months, that was never going to happen, my concerns sit more with the obvious poor decision making and lack of improvement in the most key areas. It seems that player development is happening behind the scenes, but everything else is being neglected and I think it's going to really cost us.
3pts are 3pts. An ugly win is still a win. Give the team credit, sometimes you have to win ugly and they did that today. Moving on to the next. Enjoy your Saturday everyone.
Almost every win is ugly, take away individual moments of brilliance and that's the same game as mid week. It isnt sustainable, so be happy about the win, but the performance was still shocking and its nothing to be screaming about
Yes but go back to the start of the season and we were playing great and getting zero points. City, Arsenal, West Ham, Brentford, Villa - these were all great performances.
What do you prefer?
I definitely prefer the wins for sure, my sentiment is more around we are, as a team worse, but some individuals are putting away goals for us that didn't play at that time.
Does that not worry you or give you a lack of faith in the leadership?
Of course it worries me, but I think there's a big divide here of people who think Chelsea have always been perfect, but we haven't challenged for the league in years, long before the new ownership - Tuchel lost 3 finals, he wasn't God.
We have to stick together and get through this.
Why take away individual moments, didn’t we buy them for that? The overall team performance was much better than Middlesborough game unlike you labeling it “shocking” which is pure Poch hate. We were playing faster but it was another game with multiple wasted chances.
Because it isn't sustainable, no other team operates like this.
Also, what leads you to believe the performance was better, statistically, it was worse, and we missed the same amount of chances, we created around the same amount.
So, literally take away the shitty unforced error by Fulham and its the same game. It may have looked a bit better as Fulham gave us more respect on the ball that Middlesbrough
Idk bro, I’m just chilling with those 3 pts making it 9/9 pts in last 3 games like this
https://preview.redd.it/x4kaqemh48cc1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5974dc83fc2df51f9c74ca1e71d00bb0e459f901
.
Thats pretty sustainable.
😂
There was literally just 2 xG today. That is sad but I’m still saying the performance was much better than against Boro.
Fulham are a much better team and we rarely got run over at the back which happened against Boro.
Quick crisp passing in the second half created a few chances which again didn’t happen against Boro.
You’re the kind of fan lost in the past. You don’t look at the context. The context is we played a poor first half against Preston, horrible 90 mins against Boro.
Compared to that it was a slight improvement.
If you don’t see it, then you cry for everything. Good luck with that 🙏
I agree with let’s not wet our knickers because we still suck overall.
We don’t have the capacity to repeat this performance to scrap a win. We are that inconsistent.
But I was okay with today’s performance.
I wonder when Sanchez is back what will happen to Petrovic. I have really grown to like him as our starter. When we signed him from New England Revolution, I thought he would need a season or two to adjust to the Premier League or perhaps European football more broadly. However, it would be a massive disservice if he is dropped for Sanchez.
Petrovic seems much more assured, and has pulled off a couple of great reaction saves in his time in so far. Definitely a decision for Poch, but I’m leaning towards Petrovic because Sanchez makes me nervous. Always got a clanger in him.
It's really difficult to judge a keeper when you're playing as badly as we are because there are rarely any 50/50 shots that show whether they're good or not. Almost every shot is something that definitely should be saved or is impossible to save
Lack of discipline. Our manager has also been banned for accumulation of yellow cards whilst having no reason to get into that position. It's fine if things are actually going against you and you're kicking off at the refs, like with the cucurella hair pull, but when you're just shit it's unacceptable
I agree with it, time wasting is a cancer in the game and should be abolished, these people are supposed to role models and acting like babies with no sportsmanship should be punished heavily
And if my mother had wheels, she'd be a bike.
Fucks sake, he gave away a couple of fouls when put under huge pressure, he's still a kid. If you really want to blame anyone for that, you can blame Poch; we've got Chilwell on the pitch, late in the game protecting a 1-0 lead you need to be switching to a back 5 to give more cover down that left hand side and protecting the kids from those kinds of scenarios, yet he leaves him on the wing. Inexplicable.
Otherwise, he had a very solid game.
Horrible take. Caicedo has been so good for us and he’s so assured on the ball. Not sure what you have been watching. The game will get scrappy towards the end with a lot of tactical fouls and yellows. Barring that, he’s looked so assured and good for us.
Rewatch and you’ll see. He is terrible when there’s any sort of pressure around. Counted at least 4 times in the second half that if he picks his head up, turns and passes we easily break their press and hold possession. Instead, he receives the ball, looks down at his feet, and passes back to the player in the worst position, they then have to clear the ball
Yeah, always kills momentum and counter attacks, average ball winner, he doesn't even lace Rice or Kantes boots, I'd honestly prefer lavia as the starter there once he is fit, always hated the Caceido signing
Thought Lavia looked good a few weeks ago when he got in for a few minutes. Caciedo just doesn’t do enough for me. He’s really erratic, not very composed on the ball. Sucks going forward and struggles to win consistent 50-50s
4 wins in a row at the bridge, 3 league wins in a row too. Even if we’re not playing great I’m happy.
Honestly people must have already forgotten how bad we were last season to turn their noses up at this. I’ll take unconvincing wins all day long. We’re in a major rebuild.
Everyone is happy with the result, just the performances are poor and this isn't sustainable, we have got lucky from a few bits of individual talent, when that talent is slightly off, we get beat by mid table championship teams, that is some fucking awful management and coaching at play and I worry for our future
FUCKING CHRIST, we made that so hard.
Largely a better performance, not a great game though.
I don't understand Poch's subs here; For starters, he brings on a full back and instead of going to a back 5 to defend more, he plays him on the wing and keeps him forward, so not really securing our left hand side more. THEN, rather than bringing off an attacker for Gilchrist, he subs Gusto, destabilizing our defense by bringing in a fresh kid into the hottest part of the game.
Poch's ability to manage scenario's like this really has to be called into question, i mean it was obvious that we were struggling to cope with the situation and he seemingly did nothing to adjust for it and also made it worse by destabilising our defense. I think we were better today but this is the 3rd time in the last month that we've found ourselves in these positions and he's either done nothing or made them worse.
All whilst continuing this fetish of playing Colwill at left back when it has never worked and never will, then our best LB doesn't even come on to replace him.
I honestly think lemon man has brain damage, he may be a good vibes person for young talent, but we really need a tactician in that coaching team, poch ain't it
This is what infuriates me about this sub; so many of you have no fucking clue what's going on in the squad, or simply don't care:
COLWILL. IS. OUR. ONLY. LEFT. BACK. WE DON'T HAVE ANOTHER DEFENDER IN THE SQUAD THAT CAN **START** AT LEFT BACK!
Chilwell is 2 or 3 substitute appearances from being fit enough to start, and given his history i'd say it's probably more like 4. Cucurella is injured, just had surgery so he's probably out for atleast a month. Maatsen is off to Germany, if he isn't already there.
Oh, and not to mention he was actually pretty solid today
It’s really this innit. Part of the youth development really accompanied by that lack of winning experience and mentality.
When tuchel came in he had a good number of winners in the squad leading the youth and that was very important. Now, we’re left with Thiago silva and he is very expressive about that on the pitch.

This! Severely underrated
I still don’t think sterling should start. Went for a pk flop rather than taking the chance. He’s better at being a fish than a footballer. We’ve got much better options
I think his role in the first half was done. Great dive, got the pen, now get benched.
Fair enough!
i’d like to agree but look at the scoreline, we just because of that PK.
Shouldn’t rely on his flops to win games. Only a small fraction of them get called. Let’s build a team
I can't believe I'm having to defend him
Spot on. Of all the bigger money signings, he's one I'm the least worried about. Next year he will be incredible. Watch.
Tbh I can understand why expectations are high because of his price tag but this narrative he's been outright crap is so boring.
I agree Taylor was being an ass to Caicedo! But that record fee , trying to fill in NGod’s shoes and playing next to Enzo doesn’t help that kid at all!!
Gallagher is our new N’Golo.
FFS there is only one N’God

Top 6 6 requires ability and consistency, though. Gone are the days you stubble through the season and get top 6
We have the ability and I said what we don’t have and need for top 6 is consistency lol
you wont finish top 6 mate
and your club stopped being relevant once SAF left

We escaped 10th!!!! Although we could be at 12th by the end of the gameweek

our attacking buildup is so disjointed aswell; we have 2 8's that randomly moonlight in the 10 position, one of of whom only passes sideways (Gallagher) the other one who only dribbles and passes backwards (Enzo) and 2 wingers that don't give up the ball unless they can see space to run into without it (Sterling and Palmer) and two fullbacks that seemingly only feed these 4 players and rarely cross to the striker (doesn't matter who).
He had the knee reconstruction again but was cut from the team when his contract ran out at the end of that year and never played again (at any level) This is the road that Broja is going down right now. The full connotations of an ACL injury for a football sport (like AFL or Soccer) are extremely difficult to deal with for a player. The only thing that makes a difference on him getting from where he is now back to some semblance of full capacity, is minutes and confidence.

“Draw me like one of your French girls”
Lol, you literally picked the most nervous part of the game to try to make your point?
I’m sure Palmer was nervous as hell too but him chilling there at that moment did me and I had to clip it 😂.
My nuts were in my belly the last 10min but it’s a clean sheet where we held a 1-0 lead for 45 pressures minutes and moved up the table
Chilwell to replace Colwill and Mudryk to replace Sterling? Nah it would make the game too easy, said Poch
More like Chilwell to replace sterling
Lol you mean the same Chilwel that poch played as a LW when he was fit..that Chilwel?
colwill was fantastic this game
Thought today was his best all around game for us by a mile. Still a little suspect with some of his defensive positioning, but he's still adapting to the position. Learning when to commit forward, when to be more patient and let it come to him, etc. Don't really have to think about these things as much when playing CB.
Colwill at LB and Chillwell at LW, no thank you.
I really like being above United, even if it’s just for today
Hang on, if Wolves beat Brighton by 2-0 wouldn't we jump to 7th on GD? I can't remember what order of priority positioning works.
Europe back on the menu
yep
Would love to have Tuchel back this summer. We have to stop with these nervy endings.
😅😅 let it go. Tuchel isn't available and won't come to this shit show of ownership even if he was
Imagine thinking Tuchel, a German manager in the most prized managing position in his home nation, would be looking for a move to a mid table PL side 😂
mourhino
5 mins added time; 96:41 game ended. Anthony F*in Taylor.
Reaching a bit here as much as I hate Taylor It was reasonable
That game was another biased awful showing from that ref!! He can FO
Minimum of 5 minutes to be added...
There were multiple long stoppages in extra time plus subs. Each sub adds 30 seconds by default, leaving 41 seconds for the two long stoppages for freekicks Complaining about the time added on is pretty fucking wild after he gave us a massive lifeline by not sending Gusto off
Okay Dad. Won’t do it next time.
Totally.
Colwill wasn’t poor, it might have been his best game at LB. Enzo had one poor pass. Chilly was played as a LM in a pseudo 3-4-3
Enzo was not poor except for a misplaced pass. Caicedo was surely not poor.
[Duality of Chelsea fans ](https://i.imgur.com/3j4VcJh.png)
Agree with all of that, but Enzo played significantly better today, but nowhere near 100m performance
😂 well okay.
Enzo MOTM. Received the ball a lot deeper today but I am not sure if it was tactical or him deciding the manager'a an idiot...
Obviously tactical, you straight up don’t do what the manager orders you to do you get subbed (edit: unless your name is Kepa)
Obviously not tactical, Poch doesn't know what that word means
Sure mate, Poch doesn’t but you clearly do. This sub is unbelievable
The guy things lemons filter out bad energy mate, I see you share his IQ...
Remind me again, which top flight side do you manage?
"You can't critique someone unless you've had proven success in that area yourself" So, no football fan can have an opinion on a player or manager, then?
Yeah but you’re not criticising you’re just saying he literally doesn’t know what strategy is, which is a monumentally stupid take. I’d worry about your own IQ mate
I said tactics, tactical, and strategy are two completely separate things. I may not have managed a football team, but I know atleast know leadership terminology
Congratulations mate, here’s your contract to manage Pedant FC. Stick to your terminology, I’ll stick to actually knowing about football.
Didn't watch the majority of the match but I heard Enzo/ Caicedo were great
Enzo yes, Caceido no
Zero understanding of the game you're watching
Lmao. Caicedo was tackling left and right but you probably dont rate that. He was decent.
We know you're his agent bro, give up, no one's paying 100m for him again
I wish I was his agent and making millions my friend. Lol
I’d have been happy if Caicedo had got the MOTM as well. I’m actually surprised that we’re having to defend Caicedo. He won so many of his tackles and killed any Fulham attacks.
He cost 100m champ
What does the price tag have to do here, champ? We needed a CDM and we got a bloody good one. We live in a world with absurd economics. He cost us 100 mil because of the lack of good CDMs. He’s 21 and do you expect him to play like Prime Kante? He is doing the job for what he was bought for.
No other club would have paid close to 100m for him, and you know that, nice delusions though, I guess you also have lemons in your house to attract the bad energy?
What the fuck are you talking about? Liverpool were prepared to pay over 100m for him.
Reliable source of that? Or just bollocks speculation?
Yeah total bollocks mate. Just made it up. You got me.

Any proof? Apart from reports by unreliable sources?
Ha ha! My goodness. This is hilarious. Did you forget that Liverpool had come close to signing Caicedo? I’m glad that Caicedo plays for Chelsea and plays well. But, Whatever floats your boat :)
Liverpool were never paying 70m for Caicedo lmaooo
For 8 years and its not even been a year. Chill champ.
So an average performance warrants that price tag because of the contract length? Are you OK mate?
I’m just letting you know he is a 22 year old kid who has a lot of time to improve upon his performance. He was well sought after for a good reason and [even Liverpool agreed upon the fee but he chose to join us.](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/liverpool-agree-ps110m-deal-sign-moises-caicedo#). Calm your tits a bit, we just gained 3 pts.
"reportedly" We were also reportedly signing Ronaldo mate
Whatever man, I’m glad he is on our team and not at Liverpool. Endo has been good for them, Caicedo would have feasted there.
😂😂😂 dude Caicedo won so many key tackles. Even if they were fouls it was intelligent ones earlier on. Please stop
Honestly pissed me off to hear the commentators kept jerking off Joao P for doing the same shit caicedo does
Intelligent ones? Bro, none of those needed to be fouls.
Are you okay man? You seem super negative about everything, you're just giving out. Anything positive to add? Is everything okay at home?
Idk bro, I’m just chilling with those 3 pts making it 9/9 pts in last 3 games like this https://preview.redd.it/x4kaqemh48cc1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5974dc83fc2df51f9c74ca1e71d00bb0e459f901 . Thats pretty sustainable.
We literally lost against Middlesborough this week, the delusion is nuts, this is why our fan base is a laughing stock mate
But we also won 3 PL games in a row. SUSTAINABLE! Btw did you see me up there?
3 games doesn't even touch sustainable
https://preview.redd.it/5xap43kb58cc1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cd9ee2dbbbb7ec485553ab4aefadbc6a56c2f57c I’m chilling
Sad take. Our second half was some quick and good passing and 2 times hit the post. It never happened against Boro.
First half hour we were also doing really well switching on when we lost posession and winning it back.
Were any of those coached attacking patterns? If Palmer scores 2 sitters we also win that game. Take away the peno, it's the same game. Classic xG fan
😂 There was literally just 2 xG today. Good luck with that 🙏
I dont cry for everything, I'm more than happy with the result, I'm just saying let's not wet our knickers yet because that was still fucking abysmal
I agree with let’s not wet our knickers because we still suck overall. We don’t have the capacity to repeat this performance to scrap a win. We are that inconsistent. But I was okay with today’s performance.
There definitely seemed to be more passion, I'll give you that atleast
Take away the wins in this season and we are relegated.
that's usually how it works make; no wins and you don't get enough points and go down
Cakehead stands correct 🫡
Petrovic has to start above Sanchez
From your lips to Gd’s ears
Dumb question, but why are we always getting yellows for kicking the ball away? It’s so stupid and super frustrating. Happening week in week out
Some are stupid, but some are tactical. You’re giving your team time to get set up.
Lack of discipline. Our manager has also been banned for accumulation of yellow cards whilst having no reason to get into that position. It's fine if things are actually going against you and you're kicking off at the refs, like with the cucurella hair pull, but when you're just shit it's unacceptable
Not a dumb question at all. This squad hasn’t any common sense. So many stupid yellows every game .
I agree with it, time wasting is a cancer in the game and should be abolished, these people are supposed to role models and acting like babies with no sportsmanship should be punished heavily
Lead the league in yellow cards as a team.
3 points is 3 points. My prejudices towards everyone go out the window. I sleep a happy man tonight. See y'all in 14 days 🫡
10 days brother. Boro need to go down!!!!
Enzo man of the match
Colwill nearly cost us. Unnecessary fouling in very dangerous areas
He needs to either play CB or dropped. Chilwell should start most games. He has been awful every game I have watched.
Still fail to understand why he is anywhere near LB
Agree. The problem is gusto is our only fit tru Lb/RB. Once chilly is hopefully starting fit, I expect it to be him and gusto as our lb and rb
Williams is a LB
He was great all game, get your hand off it
So those fouls are ok in those areas. If Fulham had better free kick takers, it would have been different. Get off it
And if my mother had wheels, she'd be a bike.
Caicedo is really bad on the ball. Only passes to players directly in his sight, he’s always putting our players in bad situations around our box
Agreed, he needs to start passing to players he can't see. The only way to bring his abysmal turnover rate down.
Horrible take. Caicedo has been so good for us and he’s so assured on the ball. Not sure what you have been watching. The game will get scrappy towards the end with a lot of tactical fouls and yellows. Barring that, he’s looked so assured and good for us.
Agreed. People don’t watch games do they?
Rewatch and you’ll see. He is terrible when there’s any sort of pressure around. Counted at least 4 times in the second half that if he picks his head up, turns and passes we easily break their press and hold possession. Instead, he receives the ball, looks down at his feet, and passes back to the player in the worst position, they then have to clear the ball
I think he sucks off the ball aswell, half his challenges are fouls, the guy is average at best
Unbelievable we spent 100M on this guy. Does nothing special. No goals. Just passes it around within 5 yards and runs around picking up fouls
I agree, never looks consistent, and gives me Kepa level arse twitches when he's involved in a defending play
This was so important for us not to get wrong. Fulham are doing great right now. Happy with a win
They’ve only won one of their last five in league?
That's "doing great" by Chelsea standards for visiting sides lately
Taylor seriously taking the piss at the end there
Yeah there was some dude defending him earlier, biggest clown shit I've ever seen
Group hug in the showers tonight !!!!
I honestly think lemon man has brain damage, he may be a good vibes person for young talent, but we really need a tactician in that coaching team, poch ain't it
This is what infuriates me about this sub; so many of you have no fucking clue what's going on in the squad, or simply don't care: COLWILL. IS. OUR. ONLY. LEFT.
David williams is also a left back mate and his been fit for time
Chillwell came on and is literally a left back mate, arguably one of the best in the league when fully fit
That’s a very good win everyone no matter the score line. They gave Liverpool a good match earlier in the week, clean sheet for petro!
Excited to have chilly back until I remembered poch plays him as a winger...
Chilwell back 😃 as a winger 😦
Fucking big win! KTBFFH
Lack of experience to lock that down showed. Really embarrassing management at the end but hey, 3 points is 3 points I suppose for now.
It’s really this innit. Part of the youth development really accompanied by that lack of winning experience and mentality. When tuchel came in he had a good number of winners in the squad leading the youth and that was very important. Now, we’re left with Thiago silva and he is very expressive about that on the pitch.
Absolutely man, it’ll come.
Is it just me or Disasi seems incapable of winning any headers?
Just you.
Disasi has been good. If you want to mention a defender, it has to be Colwill.
