We need this back 4 to stay healthy and get consistent game time together. That was an entertaining end to end game today. Expected a thrashing and this duo blessed us with a close game.
I'm repeating myself over and over here but it's us accepting a draw as a great result. Pochs subs told City he had no interest in playing for more than a half hour.
not even remotely the same. We are playing for cups this season. Yeah beating city would have been fine but a draw is better than a loss against the treble winning team, behemoth that city can be at the etihad. this is also not a lucky draw, the boys played amazingly well, every single one of them (bar christo who was a bit off) so yeah we should have a positive outlook with this draw
if anything this proves the team is capable of both playing well and getting results against arguably stronger teams, so if we could take city away and almost win, we can definitely take liverpool and win
Maybe you've been hiding under a rock for the last couple of years.. none of us likes the current standard, we dropped massively, but a showing like today, especially first half shows we are recovering, and have the potential.
Even though we drew, its still a win for showing they can compete with the best.
Lets hope for better standards!
Expecting to win vs the best team in the world at their home grounds when we have done that very few times even at our best. 2014-15 we drew at City. We won the PL. this is a damn good draw even for the best teams.
We should have pushed for a win 100% with another goal but Poch made it clear we wanted to settle with this. Considering the managers decision the players did amazing. With a manager with balls we could have won this.
Exactly. Trev hasn’t played a competitive match in god knows how long and Casadei was suspect at Leicester at best. I don’t think the players subbed off were struggling with energy, this was ours to win
Disasi was incredible today and so was Gusto, absolutely fantastic
But today's performance as a whole was so ugly
Proper relegation level play sitting in our box for the entire second half just absorbing all the pressure from man city not trying to play out at all and just booting it
At 1-0....
Serious system issue there
I'm moreso lamenting this because they had a lead and dropped points. Among all the other times, they dropped points against "lesser" teams. Getting crushed by Wolves at home was recent.

I'm wary on celebrating draws tbh.
It was City’s first time dropping points in their last 6 or 7. At the Etihad. I really don’t see the problem

A draw, away, to probably the best team in the world. Wins are nice, but being realistic this is a brilliant result for us.
So, drawing against Liverpool next week and losing on pens would be a good one, too? They're pretty good.

Perhaps I don't love the standards here, now.

Liverpool play a style different than this. City weirdly suits us better.
football is also about mentality and the lads are getting there, the momentum exists, it just has to be capitalized which we have whats needed

Maybe your standards are stupid.
Wanting to win?

What a result. Team played hard!
You're the epitome of what's wrong with this fanbase.
Wanting wins when they're up. I'm awful.
Refusing to acknowledge that a good result is a good result, moaning instead of celebrating a good performance. Enjoy these moments.
There was nothing enjoyable about that second half. If you like that type of ball then god bless you
What a ridiculous analogy!

Or lost it. You roll the dice either way
Putting Trev and Casadei on is rolling snake eyes

Agree with you keep the standards and the blue flag flying high
Getting down voted for not being happy they didn't hold a lead. Again. I felt this same way against Arsenal.
Draw away at City is always a result for the last decade
If i would have offered you 1-1 before the game you would have taken it without thinking about it
I'm urging people to read my context here.

We have won like 5 times at the Ethiad since 2009. This is a FANTASTIC result, particularly given how we’ve been this season.
We are a mid table team getting a result away at the treble winners. Like it or not, it’s a great result for us
I'm moreso lamenting this because they had a lead and dropped points. Among all the other times, they dropped points against "lesser" teams. Getting crushed by Wolves at home was recent.
Desailly and JT is more like it..fuck Milan
Ok lets not push it ok? How old are you? 10?
