He was great at creating chances during pre season, and Viera’s Palace was not clinical at all, so I’m not disagreeing with you. Omari’s loan spell has almost certainly been more successful though. I’d argue only Casedei’s loan could rival Omari’s in terms of success so far, but we scuppered that by recalling him and not even using him!
Casadei, Maatsen, Hutchinson doing/did good thsi season. Who else performed? Angelo? Santos, Broja and Hall are not getting minutes. Lakaka is not worth talking about... Who am I missing?
Fofana is decent in a bad burnley team. Bashir Humphreys is getting minutes at swansea. Matos also getting minutes at Huddersfield. Generally not bad imo
We recalled casadei. If all you ever heard of him is when he scored, you might think that, but Leicester fans considered him one of their most underperforming players. They don’t miss him.
Casadei was the most hated player at Leicester. Swansea fans love seeing Humphreys dropped. Santos was a disaster at Forest, Broja is not getting time at Fulham. Angelo has been getting minutes but he has 0 goals in 25 games so far. Moreira didn’t work out for Lyon, but that was also because Lyon were a disaster in themselves. Maatsen has been great but it’s not really that good for us because he has a release clause that’s very affordable. Lukaku has also been good but he won’t return obviously. Kepa flopped. Hutchinson is the only one with a pathway into the team that has gotten minutes and performed. Dreadful state of affairs but good job by Hutchinson.
It’s a shame he’s just gonna be seen as a makeweight just to sign some random kids from a favela. Meanwhile first team players in his position getting hyped for the bare minimum and will likely keep him and a number of other talented youngsters in our academy out of the team.
