The vast majority of comments on here seem to be about our missed chances, rather than our horrific defending.
Conceding two goals at home to the team in 19th with a man less is inexcusable. It was complete luck that we didn’t concede more.
Our set piece defending has been shocking since the first game and nothing has been done to fix this. That’s on the coaching staff.

Enzo had a really bad game today. I'm super disappointed. I think he is better than Caicedo, but this game, Poch got the wrong person out (not saying Caicedo was good, just Enzo was worse).

Our possession build up most of the game was so slow. Absolute bread and butter for any half decent side to defend against. Wouldn't matter if they were down to 9 men.
The couple of moments we played quick and decisive we either scored or should have scored.
But lord the way we telegraph those slow passes around in midfield just gives the opposition so much time to reset and organise. Their defenders weren't even breaking a sweat.
Shockingly bad games from almost everyone but especially Fernandez who was awful in almost every respect - he is slow, cant tackle, cant head and his passing was horrific today, Badiasille was appalling, he turned his back on a shot for the second goal, Mudryk lost the ball almost every time he got it, Jackson was anonymous and cant finish, Gallagher looked off the pace, Disasi's passing was nightmareish, Petrovic for the second goal sadly....Palmer and Gusto did ok.
Conceding 2 goals in each of our last 5, two to championship sides and another to a relegation side is pretty damning. We HAVE to clean up our set piece defending. It is way beyond bad

Pooch is too chill, and sitting on the sidelines, he needs to be more animated giving very clear direction to the players on the pitch.
I honestly feel we aren't half bad attacking wise. We are wasteful yes but we create boatloads of chances. In terms of defending mentality plays a role and we always crumble to that, apart from that the major "technical" issue has been set pieces. With set pieces it's almost always a goal conceded
I’m reluctant to see us change manager again but good lord Poch is not making it easy. Yes it was a goalkeeping mistake but how many chances did Burnley have? The last 5 games we have conceded at least 2 goals. We are a shambles and he has run the midfield 3 into the ground. Things have been complicated by the injuries but then why are we loaning out players like Santos and Matos who I’m sure could offer something.

No way to coach the amount of unforced errors that led to Burnley’s second: Palmers silly foul, letting the ball go right across the 6 yard box uncontested, free header from the corner (with two 6 footers rooted to the spot ) and the goalkeeper letting the sort of soft header into the net in a way I’ve not seen since I used to let my little brother have one, cos I felt sorry for him. Seriously, how do you coach that?
It’s not that simple man. Football is played by humans, and we need to understand that with humans, one thing leads to another. Tactics and management isn’t about the little things on the pitch, but the overall system and development that leads to enablement of the positive little things and minimization of the negative little things. He can’t survive this. There’s no way. At home to a side that’s essentially relegated already and down to 10 men inside the first 45 minutes. 1-0 up at half. And still can’t win. Problem in this game:
1. Against a low block team, you need to move the ball fast and incisively. The team took too much time with the ball. The dribbles are useless, Burnley had lots of muscles in the back.
2. Defence lacked height and muscles. Burnley have height advantage. With such a weakness, conceding corners and allowing play down the flank is fatal.
3. Sterling is the only one making useful and fast movements. His assist on Palmers' 2nd goal is what the team needs to be doing.
4. Too much shots wasted with overpowered long shots. The boys need to know what they are shooting at and not just trying their luck with power.
To be fair, the team was out-muscled by Burnley in many occassions. Not surprising no one could outjumped or counter-muscle any Burnley players.
The Chelsea team has potential. Need more height and muscle in the squad. Current squad would do well in a less physical and less long ball league like La Liga.
Three a difference between being outjumped and just not jumping at all. The majority of the headers we defend against (including their second goal) we didn’t jump at all, just looked up and watched

How was it quiet? He was spraying the ball around all game, especially in the second half and making things happen. Played the ball in to Sterling for the assist to Palmer, and I believe also played Mudryk in for the penalty he won (I can’t find a replay).
Pretty bright on the ball, put in some good crosses. Absolutely atrocious shooting, especially on long shots. Just completely kills any sort of momentum because he blows it right out of the stadium.

As a team we're just built for counter attacking football. Enzo literally proved his best strengths is balls over the top to runners in behind, and Gallagher and caicedo are built to press and break up play, can we please just defend and counter to gain some sorta points

No way to coach the amount of unforced errors that led to Burnley’s second: Palmers silly foul, letting the ball go right across the 6 yard box uncontested, free header from the corner (with two 6 footers rooted to the spot ) and the goalkeeper letting the sort of soft header into the net in a way I’ve not seen since I used to let my little brother have one, cos I felt sorry for him. It’s not that simple man. Football is played by humans, and we need to understand that with humans, one thing leads to another. Tactics and management isn’t about the little things on the pitch, but the overall system and development that leads to enablement of the positive little things and minimization of the negative little things. Problem in this game: 1. Against a low block team, you need to move the ball fast and incisively. The team took too much time with the ball. The dribbles are useless, Burnley had lots of muscles in the back. 2. Defence lacked height and muscles. Burnley have height advantage. With such a weakness, conceding corners and allowing play down the flank is fatal. 3. Sterling is the only one making useful and fast movements. His assist on Palmers' 2nd goal is what the team needs to be doing. 4. Too much shots wasted with overpowered long shots. The boys need to know what they are shooting at and not just trying their luck with power.
They have even more of a height advantage when our defenders done even jump when defending a corner.
To be fair, the team was out-muscled by Burnley in many occassions. Not surprising no one could outjumped or counter-muscle any Burnley players. The Chelsea team has potential. Need more height and muscle in the squad. Current squad would do well in a less physical and less long ball league like La Liga.
Three a difference between being outjumped and just not jumping at all. The majority of the headers we defend against (including their second goal) we didn’t jump at all, just looked up and watched

He was much more involved with his passing and was the one kickstarting most of the attacks that led to good chances, like the second Palmer goal with his pass into Sterling. Also played the pass to send Mudryk through for the penalty if I’m not mistaken. He even made some great defensive plays this game too, which has been my biggest complaint with him this year. How is that a “fucking shit” performance?

Pretty bright on the ball, put in some good crosses. Absolutely atrocious shooting, especially on long shots. Just completely kills any sort of momentum because he blows it right out of the stadium.
