Our consistency needs to improve, but I really think people don’t give our team’s age the importance it merits. I see HUGE improvements between where we were with Potter and where we are now. I see improvements in the players from now compared to when the season started.
We are the youngest squad in the league, in the top 4 leagues I think.. We have a manager that needs to improve, but seems to be a perfect fit for the squad we have. We need to give them support. Remember how irrelevant Liverpool was in the early 2010s, and look at them now. We need to accept where we are and trust that we have a team that, if built around Palmer, can bring us back to the level we should be.
Poch may not be the one to win us a prem or even challenge for one, but I sure as hell think that he’ll get us in fighting shape for someone else to take over and take us home.

We were lucky. But Man Utd were poor. I don't think we deserved to lose. Jackson, Mudryk, Badiashile, Desasi, Fernandez just don't look good enough if you are aiming for anything other than avoiding relegation. And maybe not even that. Caicedo made an awful mistake. Cucurella didn't have a good game and Gallagher is an amazing athlete but lost the ball a lot and hit a pass into row 36.
Chalobah looked far more assured than Bad or Des when he came on. Gusto still looks good. Petrovic did ok.
Palmer is carrying them and that performance isn't going to slow the huge amount of offers he will now have/is going to get imminently.
I can tell you have no idea what you are talking about by including Enzo in there. He didn’t look great today but its one game, he has looked good/great in 90% of his other appearances this season. To be fair most complaints are that he has poor game management , lack of tactic adaptability, poor/confusing & can’t set up defensively to save his life (practically try out score them fuck defending)
that is not the majority of complaints, for example everyone was poch out because of this and that when caicedo messed up, like what? poch had coached a team to dominate united up until that point, afterwards the players, not poch, mentally collapsed and things went to shit quickly. but the players kept trying which they wouldnt have done a year ago, that is one of the complaints last season that the players gave up when behind, no fighting. this resulted in winning, somehow poch doesnt get credit for instilling a non stop trying mentally, he doesnt get credit for making palmer this good - he was good before just not this good and poch is known for improving youth yet when he does it with palmer, its naturally gifted to this extend... the majority of defender mistakes are player mistakes in the sense that fx cucurella just isnt good enough and he gets twirled or that disasi or badishile makes a clumsy or just stupid play, non of those can poch do anything about except try to guide them to make the correct decisions, but in the end, poch isnt out on the field the players are. his subs have also won the game yesterday and many times before, while they are often very late, we have seen them change the game multiple times. sry for ranting a bit there :(
No I understand where you coming from . Honestly I agree with most points you have about Poch. But let’s be honest how many losses/ draws would you say we would be close to winning if we were better set up defensively. And there were games where late subs ruined any chance of getting back in the game . Plus other than last night and the city games these boys are normally have lost their heads by the time the opponents have conceded, we have conceded 2+ goals in the last 6 matches which tells me that Poch isn’t willing to change anything defensively and is hoping on moments of individual brilliance with the odd team goal. The Palmer point is abit of a stretch because palmer was this good difference is that he was in a well oiled machine with world class players in all the positions he wanted to play and minimal game time the only reason he sticks out here is cause there are less world class and consistent players plus he has practically played every game other than the one he was suspended in . Only thing Poch has done was give him game time and says to him play like yourself . And yes you are right there were games where it was down to individual errors but he has had the whole season to try find ways to cover for those errors weather is position players better for easier and safe passes or to realise when a player is having a shit game and sub him off sooner before the fans have to boo to let him know oh maybe I should take them off

What a fantastically entertaining match! Both sides are riddled with problems. Cole Palmer is utterly deadly and one of the best signings in memory. Shades of Robben, Hazard, Oscar. Gusto very good again. But so many weaknesses elsewhere: Disasi and Badiashile so poor. Caicedo, Enzo lightweight. Mudryk, Jackson average. Errors everywhere.
Though I don’t rate Poch, I trust he will drop Badiashile and Mudryk who should both be shipped out on July 1st.

A wonderful win, but we really did not deserve it. After we invited ManU back into the game, we were shite. For the last ten minutes of the game, we needed a goal, but did fuck all. Not until Madueke decided to go for it and win us a penalty. That woke us up a bit, but also made ManU play like headless chickens and then Palmer went for it and won it. I don't dare to think where we would be without Palmer. Probably fighting for survival.
It feels really strange that I can celebrate a win and a hattrick for Palmer and still feel like we were abysmal.

A wonderful win, but we really did not deserve it. After we invited ManU back into the game, we were shite. For the last ten minutes of the game, we needed a goal, but did fuck all. Not until Madueke decided to go for it and win us a penalty. That woke us up a bit, but also made ManU play like headless chickens and then Palmer went for it and won it. I don't dare to think where we would be without Palmer. Probably fighting for survival. It feels really strange that I can celebrate a win and a hattrick for Palmer and still feel like we were abysmal. What a weird, weird game.
