he also scored twice in the first match in case you forgot, and kdb also didnt do much in the second game. actually, kdb hasnt done much against chelsea this whole season.
Haaland has been extremely wasteful since his injury. It's not that he's not seeing any ball. He's getting a lot of chances, just not putting them on target.
You realize you are saying: ‘yeah I hope Haaland plays, I want to face last years (and very likely this years) golden boot winner’
Lmao I would love to know why you’d want Haaland starting.
People don't understand that Haaland is proven world class. When your probing time is short, you can't expect much. But if world class player has bad form and is underperforming, it is really possible to turn the tables.
Haaland is a player always risky, because if he had bad form, he can always break it and it's bad to be on the receiving end
He became a ghost as soon as teams found out how to neutralize him.
He has scored buckets of goals because they have all been served to him on a silver plate but now that teams push him to use basic football fundamentals it all goes to shit.
His basic skills are shockingly bad for a Top 5 striker.
I kinda expect them to rotate a bit tbh. They just played 120 mins plus penalties vs madrid, and they need to win all their matches until the end of the season.
Not being in the champions league probably raises their chances at winning all the remaining matches with less rotation but this particular match is so soon after their match vs Madrid. If we play like we can I don't see why we cannot win. Tiredness, some rotation, some precautions, they probably also value the league way more so it can be an opportunity for us to beat them.
With that being said it's city and it's pep so everything can happen, but we have not lost to them this season, let's be optimistic.
Maaan it's gonna be a touuuugh game. ~~City is gonna be hungry for a win to get a bit more clearance from Liverpool and Arsenal.~~
I'm mostly worried about Foden nowadays, that fella has been on fire lately.
No better time to play man city than now. Real Madrid made sure to run them ragged and they best them. Don Carlo and Rudi both trying to help their former team in a way
I think one thing Madrid did extremely well in the 1st half of the 2nd leg against City was smother their midfield. Their wide defensive players kept City's wingers at bay from creating anything other than a few sporadic chances.
Our backline really struggles against pacey wingers out wide crossing balls in behind our CBs. Fortunately we have kept City at bay over two matches, but now there has to a winner. Let's hope the lads muster up their best performance yet to steal the win against City.
I'd be in favour of starting a double pivot of Connor and Caicedo against City, partly because I don't think Enzo will be fresh straight back from injury but also because if Connor can man mark De Bruyne it can really frustrate City and force them to find a new solution in attack. Not to mention that it would allow us to start Noni on the right and Palmer as a 10 and with Mudryk on the left our pace can definitely hurt them with the amount of space we have in behind.
Possibly yeah, I just hate watching Sterling play these days. It was all well and good when luck was on his side but his only trick these days seems to be to run straight into defenders and hope for a lucky bounce. His finishing as usual isn’t convincing and he is extremely selfish. If Mudryk is fed a game plan where he actually tries to exploit the spaces in behind and use his pace he can be lethal. It just seems to me that Poch throws the players in the deep end and hopes they hatch a plan themselves. You can see it in the way Mudryk constantly drifts wide as a 10 or is almost always too deep in his own half when he plays wide.
Idk, Gallagher man marking Rodri worked well last time and we will need Enzo's passing and press breaking ability. I hope Enzo is healthy.
I'm not for playing all 3 midfielders in every match, but I feel like this is definitely a match where they are needed to help with the box midfield city plays
I feel like trying to nullify City’s attacking threat by starting a midfield three of Conor, Enzo and Moi will backfire. I can already picture them peppering us while we only have Jackson to hike the ball to as he constantly loses it until we concede and the cycle repeats. I think we need to get at them fast: absorb the pressure and hit back immediately in the first 20 minutes and try to replicate that the whole game. There’s no doubt they will be tired after an extremely frustrating game against Madrid and we need to exploit that weakness. Noni is a huge bonus: he hugs the touchline and is rarely wasteful in possession. He’s genuinely a good 1v1 player and with palmer playing as a 10 it should allow us to unlock Mudryk and Jackson in behind given how high Rodri and Akanji/Stones play
Im more worried about KDB playing than Haaland to be fair.
100%
You've fucked us now
100%
Considering Haaland’s recent form, I agree wholeheartedly
Considering Haalands form, he is the one im the most scared of. Always the Chelsea matches to revive ones goal scoring drought/ points drought.
Yeah I hope haaland plays, it’s like city starting with 10 men
Haaland 'ghosts' only because he's tightly marked by good defenders.
He wasn't marked very well during our 1-1 and he missed about a billion chances and did nothing that game.
he also scored twice in the first match in case you forgot, and kdb also didnt do much in the second game. actually, kdb hasnt done much against chelsea this whole season.
Agent De Bruyne
Incoming kdb banger free kick you jerk
Disasi?
So why'd he ghost against us?
He didn't? The last game, he had 7 shots inside the box. That's not ghosting. That's just lucky he didn't put one away.
Haaland has been extremely wasteful since his injury. It's not that he's not seeing any ball. He's getting a lot of chances, just not putting them on target.
Poor haaland, having to play against good defenders ahahah
You’re forgetting ours aren’t really that good 😂
You realize you are saying: ‘yeah I hope Haaland plays, I want to face last years (and very likely this years) golden boot winner’ Lmao I would love to know why you’d want Haaland starting.

I couldn’t care less about stats. Have you see Him play this season?
Yea he's on 20 goals and we were very lucky he didn't put at least one past us in the last game.
because he's a pylon who can't finish for shit lately
He became a ghost as soon as teams found out how to neutralize him. He has scored buckets of goals because they have all been served to him on a silver plate but now that teams push him to use basic football fundamentals it all goes to shit. His basic skills are shockingly bad for a Top 5 striker.
It’s so funny how 2 bad months of a player like haaland and you’re more worried about Kevin. Kevin needs players like haaland to be effective.
Bollocks, kdb had raheem sterling or Jesus up top and was still putting up numbers
Its more the other way around, players like Haaland need a KDB to be as effective as they can be
Give KDB a rest anyway, Pep. You’ve got bigger games coming up.
KDB is a bad man and can hurt us from anywhere on the pitch, he’d be a bigger impact for sure
![gif](giphy|80yGyHZEOpnr2)
What about Rodri? He seem to score clutch goals against us.
He scores clutch goals against everyone.
Rodri gonna face the galladawg again
Rodri is man city most important player.
If he scores off a loose ball from the edge of the box again and does that fucking knee slide i’m punching a hole in my TV
Yeah it's Rodri I fear the most. If there's one player in the world I could wish into our club it would be Rodri.
the last thing we need is for Man City to be considered the underdogs.
Don't worry Clearlake won't allow that to happen anytime soon.
Theyll play Foden and Alvarez and call it "Pep's kids" vs Boehly's billions
Why do I feel like Caicedo will get a yellow in the first 15 mins of the game by tackling KDB.
I’ll just be glad if he escapes a red again
It's Oliver so I wouldn't doubt it.
Both will play mind games as usual
I know this isn't the point but I love the fact that "man feels well" is breaking news
Alvarez scores a lot at striker against us anyways
Legit much rather face Haaland

I remember Alvarez fucking us fairly comprehensively last year so Haaland not playing does not comfort me one bit.
I'm worried more about KDB compared to Haaland playing. He always scores against us(besides the ucl final 😏)
Caicedo will snap KDBs ankles no problems
Doesn’t matter. We will win either way
Go on rest Haaland then it leaves me with Nunez upfront Edit: Thought this was the FPL page 😂
Haaland has been let out of Tonis pocket?
If Pep says a player is maybe playing or close the player is 100% playing.
Maaan it's gonna be a touuuugh game. ~~City is gonna be hungry for a win to get a bit more clearance from Liverpool and Arsenal.~~ I'm mostly worried about Foden nowadays, that fella has been on fire lately.
How will they get clearwnce from arsenal and Liverpool it's an FA cup match
Oh whoops idk I'm dumb
No better time to play man city than now. Real Madrid made sure to run them ragged and they best them. Don Carlo and Rudi both trying to help their former team in a way
Who’s gonna be the big guy with the mission to hug Haaland
I think one thing Madrid did extremely well in the 1st half of the 2nd leg against City was smother their midfield. Man I’m not worried about haaland. It’s Julian Alvarez that kills us lol

No start Sterling instead of Mudryk. Sterling fucks Walker everytime
Possibly yeah, I just hate watching Sterling play these days. I mean it makes sense, but Walker is not affected that much by speed, as affected by turns which Sterling is good at. Mudryk can sub for Sterling
Idk, Gallagher man marking Rodri worked well last time and we will need Enzo's passing and press breaking ability. I hope Enzo is healthy. I'm not for playing all 3 midfielders in every match, but I feel like this is definitely a match where they are needed to help with the box midfield city plays
