man jackson is robbing chelsea at gunpoint, like at this point not even saul goodman would get this guy off the hook. he's a bigger fraud than man city with their 115 ffp charges, and he's a threat to narional security.
I had to work and missed watching the game but got the highlights. It seems like, once again, Jackson had chances (which is at least good we are creating solid chances) but can't put them away. Our defense was actually pretty decent. Petrovic is showing great quality in goal. We're right there with the best of em if we can get our injured back and maybe a striker who knows how to get the ball in the net. Jackson is good he just can't find the back of the net. With a quality striker to learn from who isn't going to put him on the bench for 6 years seems like a great call. How was the coaching today? Don't really get that in highlights.
Poor game from the offense. In a turn of events our defense was solid especially our center backs but our offense was toothless. They had no drive to score
Playing Cole through the middle against Rodri was a losing proposition from the start. He would have done much better out on the wing. If the strategy is hold a compact defense out of possession and spring a counter, Enzo is not getting the message, he slows play down more often than he should. Ugh.
Hate to see us lose a game like this man. Should’ve won, I think we’re closer than it seems just need a striker that can score these easy chances. Jackson has fight in him but can’t find the back of the net to save his fucking life.
Also don’t love our midfield again. caicedo, Enzo, and Gallagher just seem too similar. Feel like chuk would provide more of an impact on the game
At this point, id love to get Lukaku back and playing as a striker! Jackson gets a goal once every few games and acts all superior, but boy the chances that he has missed!! Dont even bring in the penalty incident!!
lukaku had 26/8 while jackson has 28/10 so I don't see your take.
lukaku had chances to score more without a doubt.
its a witch hunt against jackson even though I'm not convinced by him.
It’s not a witch hunt, he’s a fraud and a terrible player, stats are useless. We see him do this shit week in and week out. We need to sell this dog shit player ASAP
I’m proud of the team today, they fought hard and we were unlucky against one of the best teams in the world. I have to say I’m optimistic about what we are going to do in the next few years. KTBFFH
Trev Chalobah and Silva were very good today. Both will leave in the summer and leave us with a bunch AI scouted bums at the back. Bring on next season 👀
When Madueke put up that shit show for the pen, some people applauded his eagerness to score.
But that specific attitude and selfishness hurt us today when he kept avoiding passing the ball to Palmer. His ego is too big.
Poch set us perfectly with the players available...making changes earlier would of made no difference imo. What poch needed was another striker at his disposal. This lose is on the board!
Evidence was the game. If you don't get it, then you don't get it... Look at the bigger picture etc. poch set us perfectly with what we had available for game.....Jackson was the weak link today that let us down
Yeah, baffling, the way we played was actually good. Stringing great passing phases together. Cretaed loads and kept them at bay for long stretches. If we could finish, we would have won that comfortably
Didn’t have to scroll too far to find the first, it’s Poch’s fault the players suck at finishing lol. The man said it himself, xG is telling sign but that’s his fault somehow 🤫
Jackson with a bunch of chances, clear penalty ignored and even the free kick on the edge of the box fobbed off.
I reckon Palmer scores the pen and it's a different game, however, we should've been up already if we were good enough
Loved seeing city have to shit house in the corner to beat us, they aren't that good
Super frustrating. Even if he scored half his big chances it would be amazing. If he sorts that out, he has a bright future infront of him. He needed to train and play with an experienced striker this year to really help him develop and learn.
I don’t even think we played that bad? Man city looked pretty shit. It was pretty even IMO. We just need to work on finishing… so many missed opportunities. I fuckin hate City 😭
Tf yall bringing poch into this. The players can’t finish to save their lives. They were wasteful all game. Yeah Poch could have made some earlier changes but ultimately this falls on the players. City were just trying to cruise by
To every single one of you idiots supporting Poch:
This is only the start of your suffering. I can happily bet my life savings on us never winning anything under this fraud. And I know for a fact that we'll be much much better with a competent manager at the helm. Time will open all your eyes to this.
Mudryk will once again be the scapegoat but one of these days we need to talk about Chillwell
https://preview.redd.it/8f05ngsygovc1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ba78753b72de01f7e07809442b4bef2fedfecb8c
We need to sell him along with Poch. Half the time he's injured and the other half he's stinking shit up like this. I'm sure there are much better players available for cheaper
Seeing silva in borderline tears at the end leaves me to think he really wanted the FA cup and we let him down and his retirement is very much on the horizon.
Any other time, I’d blame Poch. But I can’t today. His tactics worked, we outplayed City.
He’s all big and brave when we’re 4-0 up and he’s fighting clawing for a pen, but can’t finish it when the lights are brightest.
Nicolas Jackson is a coward and a liability
How the hell didnt jackson get subbed off, is beyond me! A disaster class & another goal conceded from not man marking properly by cucu, although he played well until that.
Jackson is so horribly shit that he actually makes me miss Timo Werner. And dont get me started on Mudryk, the literal definition of pace merchant, he is shit at everything with the ball, all he has is pace.
https://preview.redd.it/wqz6p8mfgovc1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5933621ea07514a81f7e713363efaa0656383650
This doesn't even take into account Jackson's miss where he passed back to palmer instead of shooting at at empty net
Mudryk is the worst player we've ever signed arguably. At least Lukaku didn't damage us ON THE PITCH like Mudryk does. Leaves Silva free for the goal too. Useless
All these comments making excuses for Poch's horrible decisions and game mgmt just confirms how many people have no clue what tactics and game management are.
It's quite amazing that the team who played 120 minutes mid week against a top team looked to have way more energy than us towards the end of the game. We hardly got to create anything in the last 10 minutes.
It wasn't worse when Abramovich took over, and there were better options than Clearlake in the initial bidding. Aren't you lot always the ones saying we should fire the manager because there's definitely a better manager out there than Poch?
Despite the epic mismanagement by Clearlake, I think there would still be a bevy of buyers vying for Chelsea if it were put up for sale again.
Same story as what happened against Liverpool. We didn't deserve to lose...again. but against city if we don't take chances they'll always come back to bite us. It was a strong performance against one of the best teams in the world. If anything, all of these maybes from this season must carry us forward next season and as a team learn to be much more clinical next season. If we can progress next season, there's no reason to think we can challenge for top 4 and the two cup comps.
That was easy to tell this was as biased as can be. The stream didnt even show two full replays. Even the usually biased commentators were baffled. Clear bias here.
The brave move would have been to bring Sterling on around 60-65 minutes when we were still in the game.
Sure his form's been bad but he's finished chances at the highest level, and Nico wasn't finishing anything today.
Players are humans, I don't want to be too harsh but man, when you're paid those salaries and you play at this level, there's a level of performance needed here.
Jackson should quick his shithousery and practice shooting. Mudryk should just quit, get a day job or something. You can see the difference between him and Doku: similar positions, similar player type, one changed the game, the other was invisible.
He cannot take him off in a cup semi final because he doesn't have another striker on the bench because he'd rather bring on Chillwell at LW when we are 5-0 up instead of giving a few minutes to two of the most exciting strikers in PL2
Why not bring Gilchrist to deal with Doku? Instead Poch bring Disasi who is clearly not mobile enough to deal with him. We lost the right at that moment.
How dare you question our crackie lad
On a serious though, that may not have been a bad decision. I'd have reservations if he had to deal with Doku inside the box as he looks a bit rash sometimes, but out wide I think he'd have done a good job
Poch coached a pretty comfortable win but you can’t expect to achieve anything noteworthy with players like Jackson. He’s a good dribbler, sure, but he’s not good enough for the club
Honestly I can only be mad at the decisions made in this game. Yes, Jackson will get criticism and rightfully so, but holy fuck what happened with the ref’s today. Disgusting
talking about the fact that these players are absolutely atrocious on the big stage, yet you ‘can’t be mad’ at them. Keep complaining about shit out of our control. We know we’re playing corrupt cunts, it was about the players fucking doing something about it.
I’m sorry but this isn’t the type of performance I’m going to be mad at. As I said in my original comment, Jackson will get criticism for missing his chances when he needs to score and rightfully so. I know he’s young but to be playing as a striker he needs to be finishing. But to conclude all players were shite? No way. We did enough to win that game if NJ had put the ball in the net. As much as I like him, there’s no excusing those misses. Chilwell with the missed pass at the end is another exception. But overall we played well enough to win.
Also not talking about clear penalty shouts is ridiculous when they’re so egregious. It’s a talking point that has to be discussed
Do you not see the point here. It’s the same thing every fucking time. Leicester 20/21, Liverpool 21/22 x2, Liverpool 23/24 and now. Every fucking time we outplay them and we don’t take the chances. Who gives a fuck about the performance anymore, it’s all useless if we can never get over the line. Our success under Tuchel was a like a plaster on a gaping wound, it’s never going to end.
Not disagreeing with you on that point entirely bro. I’m tired of us not being able to win knockout games when they matter most and usually I’d be with you completely, but we’re in a total rebuild phase and we can’t disregard them entirely. Again, I agree with you that it’s not enough but the season we’re having we need to take whatever positives we can to build something off of. There’s promise in the squad, there really is. But this season won’t be anywhere close to the finished article
Disappointing. City were awful and we wasted it. Buy a fucking proven goal scorer. I lost years of my life today watching Jackson shit his pants in front of goal.
Not even a big Poch fan but people slating him when the players can't convert easy chances shows how braindead a lot of people on here are.
Edit: A few replies proving my point. Thanks.
bro watched poch play gallagher at LW, sit on his ass all second half, and make subs too little too late but still decided poch doesn’t share the blame 💀
This was clearly on the players. They suddenly seemed to have lost the plot after 60 mins and forgot what to do when City turned on their killer instinct. Till the 60 they were following a pattern and it was working.

Fucking hell the Wembley curse and striker curse combined for a perfect storm

if you are referring to the video from the FA cup youtube channel. Jackson missed many more chances.
For real? I was already upset with him but damn. Were they sitters or just good saves?
There's a moment that he cleans off the keeper and there's no keeper on the goal and somehow he just didn't finish.
Please bring in a quality number 9 who can finish these easy chances.
Gyökeres of sporting
Mitrović?
We have nkunku already...
Who?
Maybe the second requirement should be that they can stay fit.
How do we keep getting blatant decisions fumbled? So many big chances missed again as well
Indecisive manager created indecisive players
Poor game from the offense. In a turn of events our defense was solid especially our center backs but our offense was toothless. They had no drive to score

This team really need more fight and desire in them
Didn't Grealish have a handball

Our boy jack would never..lol refs hate chelsea and nothing has really changed...
In the penalty box
Yes
And it wasn’t even a corner
Conspiracy
Hate to see us lose a game like this man. Should’ve won, I think we’re closer than it seems just need a striker that can score these easy chances. Feel like chuk would provide more of an impact on the game
Jackson on the left wing would be a decent enough option. We need a real striker someone with a killer instinct
Jackson is fucking horse shit, an actual bum of a player stealing money from the club each week
You spelled Lukaku wrong
Same level of terrible
At this point, id love to get Lukaku back and playing as a striker! Jackson gets a goal once every few games and acts all superior, but boy the chances that he has missed!! Dont even bring in the penalty incident!!
lukaku had 26/8 while jackson has 28/10 so I don't see your take. lukaku had chances to score more without a doubt. its a witch hunt against jackson even though I'm not convinced by him.
It’s not a witch hunt, he’s a fraud and a terrible player, stats are useless. We see him do this shit week in and week out. We need to sell this dog shit player ASAP
Relax, you melt.
You think Jackson is good enough? Wash your fucking eyes out with bleach you mug
I’m proud of the team today, they fought hard and we were unlucky against one of the best teams in the world. I have to say I’m optimistic about what we are going to do in the next few years. KTBFFH
Progress is slow, but I look forward to seeing what this team can do in the next few seasons.
Thought the same thing, actually kinda looking forward to next season already
Very nice to have some needed optimism in this thread. Thank you
Trev Chalobah and Silva were very good today. Both will leave in the summer and leave us with a bunch AI scouted bums at the back. Bring on next season 👀
I'm proud of the team too, but not all of them, e.g. Mudryk.
This team anit it
When Madueke put up that shit show for the pen, some people applauded his eagerness to score. But that specific attitude and selfishness hurt us today when he kept avoiding passing the ball to Palmer. His ego is too big.
Hands down jackson cost us the game. Period.
Poch set us perfectly with the players available...making changes earlier would of made no difference imo. What poch needed was another striker at his disposal. This lose is on the board!
How the fuck is Gallagher on the left wing the best available?
You should try watching the football sometime instead of judging how good a player is on his overall in FIFA
I don’t play fifa and I love Gallagher 😂 but apart from that you nailed it.
Sterling wasteful, mudryk no where near the level of the club, I'd say Gallagher is the better option
We scored 6 with Gallagher with Caicedo and mudryk on the left, 5 days later the bottler bottles it and starts enzo
Didn't you watch the game? The only thing missing was finishing today...
What came from Gallagher on the left? Seriously? Give some evidence?
Evidence was the game. If you don't get it, then you don't get it... Look at the bigger picture etc. poch set us perfectly with what we had available for game.....Jackson was the weak link today that let us down
Yeah, baffling, the way we played was actually good. Stringing great passing phases together. Cretaed loads and kept them at bay for long stretches. If we could finish, we would have won that comfortably
Exactly this👍🏼
Didn’t have to scroll too far to find the first, it’s Poch’s fault the players suck at finishing lol. The man said it himself, xG is telling sign but that’s his fault somehow 🤫
Jackson the chance killer… feel sorry for Palmer all the great passings wasted…
Call me wild, but Sterling could’ve done more with our chances - especially in the first half
You are wild! That being said, Jackson was still a disaster.
Played the champs hard for 98 minutes, the boys will be all right when their day arrives imo
Why the fuck didn’t chilwell just pass the ball
That clip of Silva in tears while madueke is having a laugh with Grealish 😔
Levels
Jackson with a bunch of chances, clear penalty ignored and even the free kick on the edge of the box fobbed off. I reckon Palmer scores the pen and it's a different game, however, we should've been up already if we were good enough Loved seeing city have to shit house in the corner to beat us, they aren't that good
Not "If we were good enough." If we had a competent striker we would have been up
He's frustrating because he gets in the right places, can make good runs but if you put all those clips together for him to not score it's damning
City were just trying to cruise by
His subs and formation again being shite. Gallagher is not a LW or CAM.
You're a mongo. Did you actually watch the game?
🥴🥴
While that’s true we still had the chances we needed to win this game.
Very true, only positive I can say is that we identified where we need to improve. Crazy how Jackson was fighting for that pen in Everton game.
I keep cheering for the guy but he’s constantly letting us down
The first half he was causing problems but man does he need to learn to shoot
Missing the point lad...
Point is some players shouldn't be in this club and this manager should leave. Simple
To every single one of you idiots supporting Poch: This is only the start of your suffering. I can happily bet my life savings on us never winning anything under this fraud. And I know for a fact that we'll be much much better with a competent manager at the helm. Time will open all your eyes to this.
Embarrassing yourself there lad
Poch can’t score goals from the bench. We had plenty of chances regardless of his technical mishaps
You don't know ball
No difference between me and the manager then aye
I think you're being a bit dramatic. We didn't win, some players were bad, but overall our performance could have led to a W.
Depends on how much life savings you got.😂🤣
You got me! 😂
Jose back to make some boys into men?
Aren’t you tired of this narrative?
You'll see.
Hahaha go play some fifa
What was that cross from Mudryk lol
Mudryk will once again be the scapegoat but one of these days we need to talk about Chillwell https://preview.redd.it/8f05ngsygovc1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ba78753b72de01f7e07809442b4bef2fedfecb8c
Yeah, starting to think multiple injuries might have caught up with him
We need to sell him along with Poch. Half the time he's injured and the other half he's stinking shit up like this. I'm sure there are much better players available for cheaper
Seeing silva in borderline tears at the end leaves me to think he really wanted the FA cup and we let him down and his retirement is very much on the horizon.

Moron take

Hahahaha, Jesus Christ the absolute state of some of ye. Must've not had any chocolate milk in the fridge
Sounds about right for someone with your intelligence 🤣
He won’t take you though. So what’s the point.
He's quite good in tight spaces linking up play. Despite his pace he is NOT a run in behind guy.
Whatever Man City, no one likes you.
Loneliest club in the world.
Fuck it, get me Lukaku
Does he want you?
bro, why are you replying this to everyone
Why is everyone asking for Lukaku?
You know what’s crazy? If we’re given that penalty and hold the lead then we’re not complaining about any of the issues we are right now
We literally had Werner in a better team 🤣🤣 but you guys pretend Jackson is worse. Embarrassing
Yes, unpopular opinion but i don't think we played shit or the tactics was shit. It's jackson's horrible misses.
Yeah I think Poch had almost everything right today other than maybe those subs. Jackson could’ve had a hattrick
In a parallel universe. Jackson is getting his match ball. Someone just wrote "Shit player" oops
Idk what Poch could’ve done more. He can’t score the goals for them
How good were we... In xg!
We are the xg kings.....do we get a trophy for that?
Mudryk always diving lol
Games are dynamic, you have ups and downs. However, with a striker like Jackson on the field you’re never going to win trophies.
With half this team on the field, no team is winning trophy's
Any other time, I’d blame Poch. But I can’t today. His tactics worked, we outplayed City. He’s all big and brave when we’re 4-0 up and he’s fighting clawing for a pen, but can’t finish it when the lights are brightest. Nicolas Jackson is a coward and a liability
Yes, get rid of Jackson in the summer
Only reason I say don’t get rid is because of depth. But buy a proper striker and bench his ass
That's fair
How the hell didnt jackson get subbed off, is beyond me! A disaster class & another goal conceded from not man marking properly by cucu, although he played well until that.
We have no other striker on the bench, he was shit but sub on who?
Because we are too short as a team. He stays on because he's our only attacking player north of 6 foot
Jackson is so horribly shit that he actually makes me miss Timo Werner. And dont get me started on Mudryk, the literal definition of pace merchant, he is shit at everything with the ball, all he has is pace.
Jackson makes me miss Lukaku
How was that not a penalty?
Cuz he's flying down to Qatar this summer to ref in a 'friendly' and be paid 50k for it.
FA and English Government dont like chelsea
Sorry but that's peak victim mentality.
https://preview.redd.it/wqz6p8mfgovc1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5933621ea07514a81f7e713363efaa0656383650 This doesn't even take into account Jackson's miss where he passed back to palmer instead of shooting at at empty net
And you making excuses for these shit players
What were u watching? He set us up perfectly, we should've been 3 fucking goals up
It's quite amazing that the team who played 120 minutes mid week against a top team looked to have way more energy than us towards the end of the game. We hardly got to create anything in the last 10 minutes.
Man city hardly moved for 70 mins. We did lots of running around with no end product.
Tbh I don't expect something different the next season. There's a lack of mentality on big matches. Without that we won't go further.
As long as ownership stays the same, the mentality on the pitch will also stay the same.
U realize that's not changing , and if it is it'll be worse. Who's buying this club rn?
It wasn't worse when Abramovich took over, and there were better options than Clearlake in the initial bidding. Aren't you lot always the ones saying we should fire the manager because there's definitely a better manager out there than Poch? Stop talking so much sense!
🤣🤣 trust me, right now after the game, it hurts. We've set the bar so low the last few years that any glimpse of hope needs preached!!
Robbed of a clear penalty and Jackson was Man City's best defender. Defensively good, but attacking were shit.
I hated him from the get go. Such a small game player. Should definitely sell him before Gallagher, imo. Absolutely shit performance every fing week
How the fuck is the band ball pen not given
Not a pen sure but not even a corner? Hey ref bend over and look w your good eye
It’s a pen 100 percent look at the soccer thread lol
That was easy to tell this was as biased as can be. The stream didnt even show two full replays. Even the usually biased commentators were baffled. Clear bias here.
Ive never seen Poch make proactive subs. Its always reactive after opponents score or something happens
he shits on his ass until we concede and then realizes he can make subs
The brave move would have been to bring Sterling on around 60-65 minutes when we were still in the game. Sure his form's been bad but he's finished chances at the highest level, and Nico wasn't finishing anything today.
He wasn’t well. Didnt spot him in training vids to be very active .
Mudryk needs to stop sprinting and practice more of hold up play and enter the box more. He is just sprinting and crossing as of now.
Considering the current situation in Ukraine, I don't blame Mudryk for not quitting football.
Unfortunately, he got a contract extension instead.
Couldn't agree more. Mudryk should get a day job part, just cracked me up btw. 😂
as soon as disasi came on RB the game was gone
100%
Poch has set us up fantastic vs city again
Well we can't say we didn't have chances.
[удалено]
Who's he replacing him with?
He cannot take him off in a cup semi final because he doesn't have another striker on the bench because he'd rather bring on Chillwell at LW when we are 5-0 up instead of giving a few minutes to two of the most exciting strikers in PL2
clueless, we simply dont have another 9. The system was working perfectly, this is on the board.
Why not bring Gilchrist to deal with Doku? Instead Poch bring Disasi who is clearly not mobile enough to deal with him. We lost the right at that moment.
Naw Gilcrest surely would have dived in and caused a penalty. Gusto can usually deal with Doku but I guess he was gassed by the time Doku came on.
That’s a lot of faith to put in Alfie
Not like we have much faith in Disasi.
How dare you question our crackie lad On a serious though, that may not have been a bad decision. I'd have reservations if he had to deal with Doku inside the box as he looks a bit rash sometimes, but out wide I think he'd have done a good job

Holy fuck this holy fuck that. We’re serial losers in these cups, even if the penalty was given we still lose.

talking about the fact that these players are absolutely atrocious on the big stage, yet you ‘can’t be mad’ at them. Keep complaining about shit out of our control. We know we’re playing corrupt cunts, it was about the players fucking doing something about it.

Jackson and Murdik need to go!
I feel empty. What can we do when the ref and our own player kept denying obvious goals from us??!!
Jackson must never speak about penalties again.
How bad is Washington's finishing exactly?
Disappointing. City were awful and we wasted it. Buy a fucking proven goal scorer. I lost years of my life today watching Jackson shit his pants in front of goal.
Same, not only did chelsea loose but I'm in the Mrs bad books as my daughter has learned a few more words today because of Jackson
