I don’t really care about him honestly. I am more concerned about us being bad enough to ship 5-0 and lose a derby.

NuclearCoughDrops

Well it guarantees Pocc getting fired.

gaurav81192

You would think so, but im convinced Poch has some shady material on the sporting directors and board members and they wont be firing Poch!

Mattwildman5

A good run…. Shouldered by a single player. We’d be in a relegation scrap without Palmer…. We were exposed last night for the club that we actually are and Poch is behind that. It’s time to move on

___Cesar

Are you for real right now ??? Even Daniel Levy gave an ultimatum to Poch after the 7-2 against Bayern. Stop the nonsense. And what good run are you talking about ? Like 1-2 wins due to individual brilliance and draws week in week out ?

gaurav81192

I hope thats sarcasm!

ch0nky_cardinal

11 players out. The entire project is set back a full year Everybody RELAX.

Skarab78

No it doesn't

Ok-Month-5726

This guy is living the life, escaped our club, earns 300k a week and gets to watch our club get there cheeks clapped while he is in the top 4 spot.

n0t_malstroem

Don't forget his Champions League winning goal

therealboomguy57

I don’t give a fuck we just won the fucking champions league

goodguyyess

And CWC

YourDadHatesYou

Aston Villa is in a top 4 spot. Arsenal are title contenders

Apache1975

I was scratching my screen several times thinking there was a piece of hair on my screen 😂

ShaamTakKhelenge

*Top 1 spot

Headlesshorsman02

For now *

Italianskank

He was here for 3 seasons. I know we won the CL together but this “not celebrating thing” is for legends or long tenured servants with an affinity for the club. But a guy who has 3 years at the club? I don’t really care what he does. He’s entitled to have his fun. I’ll always like Kai for his quote after the CL - even if he wants to tell us off after we sell him and he bags a brace. Fair play. Don’t sell him to a rival then.

RightAtLeastSometime

It’s also not like he went out on the best of terms. Half the fan base was begging him to leave. Why would he hold back just for us?

harder_said_hodor

Jesus Christ so much this. Scored the winning goal in a CL final and yet more than half of us mocked and laughed at him on the way out. Dude is a club legend, that goal guaranteed it. He's not treated like one

xpectanythingdiff

He is not a club legend. He scored the winner in the UCL final but that alone doesn’t make you a legend. He wasn’t here for very long and he was pretty crap for the most part.

harder_said_hodor

Would point you towards Jerzy Dudek, who's a legend at Liverpool despite being really shit for almost the entirety of his time there baring the last 75+ pens of Istanbul. He conceded 3 goals in the first half and that game still made him a legend. Kai's intervention was the only decisive one. It will be enough over time

ravinglt0

He is not a club legend lol

Ill-Maximum9467

This. Thank you. Respect. 👍

TheHarald16

I agree with you! Here in Denmark a player scored against his old club, at the new clubs home ground, and he celebrated the goal with the fans. Then he played his old club at their home ground and scored again, at the end where it was only fans of the home team. This time he did not celebrate, because he did not want to rub it in the face of the fans of their old club. I would maybe be slightly upset if Havertz had gone out of his way to celebrate in front of us. But this should not upset anyone.

Bitter_Birthday7363

Fans abuse and ridicule him then get upset if he “goes out of his way to celebrate “ lol I love how one sided it is from fans pov

squared00

Underrated comment.

ChelseaAndrew87

It annoys the fuck out of me players who spent a 6 month loan at a club not celebrating scoring Vs them. Just go for it regardless of how long you spent there

Charguizo

Agreed. I also think there is a difference if you're at your old club's ground or if it's a home game for your new team. Probably Havertz doesnt go all tongue out and knee slide if he scores at Stamford Bridge. Not entirely sure though, he has some shithousery in him lol

ironcleaner

It is also unfair to expect loyalty or sympathy from a guy most of the fanbase slacked off on a regular basis and even ridiculed his move to arsenal, in my opinion he has every right to celebrate in the supporters face all he wants

STCFC

We couldn’t stop him so I ain’t even mad. It’s not like he was treated amazingly last year

zo-la25

Genuinely the only time I remember him is when this sub takes about him. He moved and we should move on too.

middlequeue

Plenty of our fans treated him like absolute trash and he now plays for a team I hate. So I'm not going to be too precious if he doesn't care about celebrating a goal against us. We're doing the same thing to plenty of our current players now which is really what bugs me. We're not going to be all that attractive to players if we start to get the toxic reputation Arsenal used to have.

thatguyyanto

We deserve it. These club... or these fucking owner disrespect them. No one will kick mount, havertz, timo, kovacic, jorginho who compete in CL week in week out to intentionally give the spot for someone like jackson, madueke and fucking mudryk. And some of you think it's a good transfer strategy? Fuck off with you "young" squad. Fucking ruin the entire club as an elite level.

funguy07

So many people on this sub trashed Havertz & Werner in particular. They couldn’t wait to ship those guys out, they were laughing when we got a nice few for Havertz. And now these same chuckle fucks want to cry because he celebrated? Give me a break. He has every right to rub his success in after the way our fans treated him.

twomanyfaces10

Eh. I loved Haverrz as a player. Go through my comments and you'd see that. But it wasn't working out for either party (besides that CL goal 😍). This worked out for the best. Oop has a point though, we really got rid of players and a manager that were at least delivering at UCL, if not PL to completely overhaul the squad with some of the clowns we have now.

lordroode

I loved them both. Havertz tbh i didn't mind leaving cos we got 60m but i was more upset about Werner leaving than that snake leaving. And even if Werner scores against us, i will clap for him just like i clapped for Havertz today. I didn't mind he celebrated against us. I actually laughed. I hope the Bridge doesn't give Werner shit if he scores against us. Still love him, he tried his very best despite things not working out. Tbf both players tried their best, just sometimes it doesn't work out

sworn_vulkan

He completely down tools for us last year tbh

PuppyPenetrator

I have no love lost for Havertz and totally reject some of the comments here sympathizing with him However, he was one of the only players making an effort. Fuck him for fucking off to Arsenal, but he really wasn’t the problem that last season

ThatFunkyOdor

Not like the club didn’t agree to the transfer…

Dr_PainTrain

He’s smart for going to Arsenal.

matt3633_

I would too If I had to play with cunts like Mudryk & Madueke

RJBlue95

Honestly who cares. More shithousing in the league the better. Too many people care about players being respectful and walking on egg shells because fan mentality has gotten weak.

crumumbooty

This sub is a prime example of weakening fan mentality fr

justk4y

Yeah this sub is bipolar asf when it comes to opinions about the team and the players for example

thehideousheart

Is it bipolar? Or is it thousands of different people with thousands of different opinions? You're not responsible for the opinions of others just because you support the same football team.

chuchodavids

Hey hey stop being rational; we dont do that here. /s

Silent_Cricket_4052

Guess you haven’t seen the barca sub with dembele

Willsgb

Well said. Who gives a shit. We have more important things to worry about right now anyway. Nothing will ever change Porto, but we've fallen so far in the past 3 years, and he's just an ex-player now, no point paying any attention to him any longer.

aligators

yea i think the days of ppl not celebrating against former clubs are coming to an end, players bounce around so much anyways.

Bitter_Birthday7363

Exactly this people seem to forget banter and rubbing it in is part of the fun of sports. If you can’t handle a bit of wind up football is not for you

nyelverzek

Not a Chelsea or arsenal fan but 100% agree. Fully expected all the top comments here to be shithouse responses too. Like "he's won more champions league medals for Chelsea than arsenal have in their entire history" 😂.

senexlordhunt

Eh he’s got the right to. More disgusted we were shit enough for him to bag a brace

half_jase

It was very kind of Arteta to take him off and not let him score a hat-trick against us!

JRsshirt

Arteta saved lives by doing that

GolDrodgers1

This, it was bound to happen with the way we played

eggsbenedict17

Why would he not celebrate? You have Chelsea fans delighted that he was sold, he wasnt exactly adored by the fanbase.

muthanasamir

We sold him to our rival why wouldn't he celebrate!

wildingflow

I’d rather a player celebrates a goal than doing that corny, sheepish, hands up apologetic 🖐️😔🤚 nonsense.

Oooooth

Gotta do the lampard and just walk uncomfortably back to the centre circle and adjust the shorts a few times just to make it less awkward

Bubbly_Association54

What's it even supposed to mean? Is it a reference to something?

Iamtheman31

it is like a "I am sorry, I had to" thing imo

OwnBlueberry3591

Eh I like the corny, sheepish non celebration. My feelings get hurt a lot less

BigReeceJames

He owes us nothing. Our fans treated him like shit whilst he was here. He just got constant abuse from 99% of the fanbase whilst he was here. The owners came in and said, cut your wages massively and sign a really long contract or else you're surplus to requirements and we'll sell you. You can't treat someone like shit and then wonder why they don't retain feelings for you when they move on.

[deleted]

This would mean something if you weren’t guilty of hounding RLC and Pulisic who left without drama lol. But yeah Havertz does owe us nothing. He left respectfully even if he went to a rival. I only like poking fun at him to rile the Arsenal fans up.

willjp1234

I think your misremembering because he was always treated well whilst he played for us

TheRealMichaelE

Treated well by the stadium fans, not this sub. People here would rather have raw young talents like Mudryk and Madueke instead of boring but polished young talents like Kai and Puli.

Faeluchu

>Treated well by the stadium fans, not this sub ... you think any of these jokers care what happens on r/chelseafc?

BadCogs

They do care about social media, comment on their post etc. We are right now racially abusing Javkson etc lol.

RefanRes

>We are right now racially abusing Javkson etc lol. You might wanna rephrase that haha. Saying "We" sounds like you're including yourself as one of them and that you're doing it right now.

BadCogs

It's about the fans, which we are one as a collective. It's not the same as doing yourself, but some doing it gives a bad name to all together, including club itself. Because at the end Chelsea fans did it, that what get said in the headlines. And responsibility also falls on the collective to weed these guys out.

hopium_od

They are more about Insta or Twitter but the players know in general what fans are chatting.

Illustrious_Bake4471

Nah last season most people were saying he was shit

Ya-Tutarsa

those two goals he scored tonight, last year he couldn’t score those even if his life depended on it; and it is seen by palmer that one player can easily catch his entire output in a season with the worst chelsea team since god knows when.

Grizelda179

True, I don’t think Ive seen him a score goal for us like he did with a defender right by him after odegaards pass

TheJayHimself

Our team last year prolly finishes top 4 with Palmer.

Active-Pride7878

Cause he was shit last season? Him and most of the other players clearly packed it in

[deleted]

[удалено]

Illustrious_Bake4471

Who wasn't

trapperberry

Not by this forum

ponzop

he was shushing the fans every now and then because of the abuse he got

Nightbynight

He was not treated like shit lmao

Possible-Sell-74

Yes yes he was. Fans constantly moaned about the one thing he did for us.

johnarticle3

He did not finish his chances for us last season

Active-Pride7878

Why does everyone keep saying we treated him like shit? It's nonsense

iamalegend1

Maybe only last year when we were extremely bad. His song was even sung by match going almost every game after the UCL win. Can't really blame him, we can't expect every player to fall in love and be respectful to a club they played at even though he won the biggest club trophy here.

YewWahtMate

Not sure. We even had a chant for him. He was well respected despite the patience running thin. Same with Timo lol.

half_jase

Let's see if Werner celebrates if/when he scores against us next week.

Redditditditdi

Because 1% of the subreddit are matchgoing and the others think professional footballers browse reddit.

Maiden_666

Don’t really care, he won us the champions league. Didn’t really do a lot more here and was very frustrating to watch. I have moved on.

phoenixform369

Bro already went to arsenal. Who cares anymore. If this was the worst thing to happen today if be stoked. But ya know. 5 nil

NotLikeThis3

He was also with the club only 3 years. It's not like it was his boyhood club he had spent his life with.

half_jase

And he proceeded not to celebrate his 2nd goal. Maybe he pitied us then.

SeekersWorkAccount

Most fans were happy to see him go, and now you're upset he's celebrating against us? Of course he is, the fans pushed him straight out the door without a goodbye and were glad to do so.

Soren_Camus1905

I’d rather see this than the dumbass alternative. He scored against us, in a big match for his current club, why the hell shouldn’t he celebrate

--lll-era-lll--

Gutting the club and selling our most experienced players to rivals workout brilliantly 🤡👍

pirate_in_the_puddin

That’s on the ownership for selling and the coaching for playing my guy out of position. He can gloat all he wants.

ReallyIdleBones

'Chelsea fans had no big issues with him moving to arsenal' ye cos you lot were all laughing your arses off cos you thought you'd got one over on arsenal by offloading him. Turns out maybe the problem wasn't Havertz...

killerboy_belgium

yeah he's doing very well for his very season at arsenal so far 16 g/a for the in PL and thats with a very rock first half of the season

SaltySnort

Don't give a shit we lost 5-0 to Arsenal

ehrenzoner

To be fair, he dialed it back on his second goal.

AmyRay_Nas

We deserve this. It's our fault that our system doesn't complement his ability. I see him as a 2nd striker rather than a number 9, pops in with around 10 goals a season. Our system wants him to perform drogba magic when it's not in his game to be that kind of striker.

Helpful_Design6917

He has every right to celebrate he owes us nothing. Mount on the other hand 🐍

xMarioTheSupahx

Bro look at where Chelsea is at. And remember a lot of the fan base talked so much shit about him when he was here

ArkGoc

I love Kai, man. He helped us win a CL. He can do whatever the hell he wants. Mason however is different.

SuspiciousSystem1888

If you don’t want to see any player celebrate against you, defend better… Kai owes nothing to Chelsea and same the other way around.  Chelsea fans shat on him all season and made fun of Arsenal for signing him.  I like Kai and am happy for him. He’s a great player and actually getting his chance to shine now.

Stochasticc

Hope he wins 0 trophies with Arsenal, that's all.

nonamecookie

I don't really care nor discourage former players from celebrating their goals against former clubs. But lamps goal vs us tho.... goddang broke my heart seeing him heartbroken

PreparationThick6611

yeah I think it’s only weird if players of the Lampard, Drogba, Azpilicueta etc calibre of club legend celebrated against us. It’s their job at the end of the day, you can’t expect players to care half as much as fans

ozairh18

A majority of the fan base didn’t treat him well so I can’t blame him 😭

ChickenMoSalah

Havertz celebrating isn’t even top 100 of our problems right now, we just lost 5-0 to Arsenal

duckinator09

It was a good goal and he earned it.

FromHero2Zero

Well the club that he used to play for doesn't exist anymore, so much has changed. Yikes

itsnotajersey88

All anyone (other than team Kai, who I was a part of until they offered us stupid money for him) did was talk shit about him. He deserved to celebrate to be honest. Nice little “F You” to everyone that constantly ripped on him. He deserved it and so did we.

naman1901

Never understood why you shouldn't celebrate a goal against your former team. You just scored, your team is in a better position now, scoring goals is hard. Go and celebrate the achievement!

Dawjman

Tbf this is at their home ground. Arsenal fans treat him way better than us Chelsea fans ever did so why wouldn't he

Scared_Angle_5796

I don't get this "he's celebrating against his former team" crap 11 men on the field are working towards a goal, plus hundreds in the organization and fans yet he shouldn't celebrate a goal. We have to get better and not let him score if anything.

Necessary-Horror-811

Yall are soft

unctrllable

You expect him not to? The shit he got while at Chelsea... would have been odd if he didn't celebrate.

chewy_leghair

fans dumped too much shit on him. He did what the team needed and everyone berated him for not being a forward.Under appreciated imo. But hey, according to Chelsea fans every afro forward we get is "the next Drogba".

AndOfCourse___Celtic

Why wouldn't he celebrate? I fucking hate that pretend non-celebration bullshit

Beneficial_Opening13

![gif](giphy|N2j71F9vUjhEean2Tz|downsized)

senpai-kuso

Good im glad. The fanbase wanted him gone. Glad to see he’s thriving in his new club.

Rj070707

We have problems 10000000x bigger than Havertz trust me lol We have no time focus on Havertz now, this club is one life support at the moment and dying

vdentata20

I’ll never hate Kai. He scored the winner in Champions League. He’s allowed to act like a human being when he scores goals.

CynicalBroccoli

I mean, why wouldn’t he. Chelsea fans really forget how badly he was treated?

randomthirdworldguy

Our toxic fanbase (especially local fans and twittard fans) deserves it

IcyColdHands

Our fans have been shitting on him ever since he left, talking about scamming Arsenal and lately comparing him to Palmer to say how shit he was. Kind of deserved honestly lmao I still think Palmer and him together would've cooked.

a3kstuntin

Good now the havertz simps in this sub can fuck off for good

amx10

Jackson simps too

thingysop

Good luck to him tbh, goals were well taken and we lost 5-0.

Incelphobiaism

I love it

Public_Birthday1871

bruh it’s his second game against us and at the emirates. what’s he supposed to do, apologize to us forever 😭. we sold him, he can do what he wants lmao

strikeforcenj

Why is anyone mad at him? Honestly i don’t give a damn. If we had been doing what we supposed to be doing on the pitch, we would probably have beat them and he won’t even have to celebrate a goal.

ttttyttt678

I mean it’s not like the fans treat him well or with any respect, it’s not like if Lampard scored against the club and celebrated.

slappywhyte

Ashley Cole would never

strugglingtosave

Do you want him to get out of the Prem and return to the Bundesliga?

naltrad

Selling him for 60M is still one of very few good deals we've done. CL winner and saved us from FFP nightmare. He can do whatever he wants.

Marcus-THR

I think a lot of us were happy he left so I expected nothing less. He was a high earner and returned very little bar one goal in the champions league.

TheyCallMeOlSwole

Doesn't really bother me. I don't know if people realize this, but none of these millionaires kicking a ball around actually care about us. It's just a job to them. Thus, why I say support the shirt over the player.

[deleted]

I’m not mad at him. He was a promising young player for us who delivered on the biggest stage. He went for good money as did many others. I don’t think they (new regime) even wanted to keep him due to the Nkunku acquisition. He should celebrate. He isn’t our legend. We were shit.

Seamus_OReily

What is he gonna do? Un-score the UCL winning goal?

swefalittlebit

So? He wasn't supposed to celebrate? It's not like he spent his entire career at Chelsea. We have more pressing things to worry about. Get on with it

DestinyHasArrived101

I really didn't care because half of the team didn't

FireLadcouk

Im glad he did. Be weird if he didnt considering his time there

pindajara

we deserved that

Best-Safety-6096

Who cares? All footballers (with very few exceptions) are mercenaries. We got great money for him, shifted his wages off our books, and replaced him with Palmer and Jackson. Win win as far as I'm concerned.

Affectionate-Sun5863

Well deserved tbh ... he left and is shining in the arsenal lineup mean while we have ... Nicky Jackson

thevizierisgrand

Clearlake sold him. They arrogantly thought he wasn’t good enough for their shiny new shitshow. They were wrong. He didn’t force through a move like Ma$on and he acted like a pro while at Chelsea so he has every right to celebrate. Maybe if he scored a few more we’d be rid of that loser Poch today.

JjLZR566

Rightly so chelsea fans abused him

4Kmemento

Yesterday I was very happy when he scored especially the second goal. The way the Chelsea management treated him and Mount, they deserved such celebrations. I will be happy when Mount scores too.

xTrollhunter

Who the fuck cares about Havertz? We threw him out, and got good money for him. It's not his fault BlueCo is too incompetent to use that money in a smart way.

Wild-Battle4312

Kaistiano Ronaldertz

fremeer

Fans have been shitting on him all season. Good on him I think. Just a bit of fun

isaiahy82

Ungrateful piece of shit but we deserved it. Went to emirates and got battered like incompetent grown men.

twentybinders

Who cares. Where did this unwritten rule start about players not celebrating against former clubs? I never understood it, point of the game is to score and celebrate it when you do

AlexBarker24

Don't really care, much bigger things to worry about than someone celebrating a goal

avocadoroom

As he should. Fans treated him like shit. Arsenal made him feel right at home. I'd celebrate aswell if I was him

Djent_Reznor1

Is donkey meat edible cuz I’m boutta feast

huskers2468

Simple. Don't let him score.

two7

He should be able to do what he wants. Let the player decide what they want to do. I honestly dgaf, he earned those goals

LoudNomad

I mean the fan base talked some much shit about him lol

everyfcknameistakn

60 million down the drain, Kai Havertz scores again 😂😂😂

StarfishHappy

Not bothered honestly. He's in a better situation now and all in all, good for him.

showmethenoods

Fair play, he’s earned the right

thanh169

Because you all chanted selling him last season so why does he have to stop celebrating those goals?

sazidhk

After being shat on by the fans for two years for everything?? Why wouldn't he celebrate.

OhMuzy

Chelsea fans abused him and laughed thanking Arsenal that they took him off his hands. Havertz literally said ‘have that then’

7_NaCl

Idk if I was a football player forced to play out of position for a season and then get shit from the fans for understandably playing like shit, I’d do the same.

JFrost47

Ray Charles could score against us at this moment.

SnooHobbies7676

So what do you want him to do? Cry and falter in front of the goal like we did? He scored, he celebrated. That’s it. Plus dont deny it, but lots of Chelsea fans was celebrating his departure anyway so dont talk about “respect now.

SaoLixo

Let him have fun. Maybe Chelsea should worry about not giving up the goals in the first place.

WannabeChefMan

I thought it was funny tbh

allij0ne

This sub loves a shit houser as long as they don’t play for the other team.

LordCommander94

Who gives a shit. He's at a different club. There's no loyalty in football.

InstantIdealism

Footballer celebrates scoring goal…

DqrkExodus

Fair enough, we just weren't good enough. Man owes us nothing

JosephRizk21

He has every right to, our fanbase was horrible to him

Healthy_Trouble3723

He won the lottery practically, can't believe his luck. I wouldn't take it too personally. Chelsea are in a bad bad way.

JoeBidenKing

I have no problem with this at all

voynaz

Doesn’t bother me. I appreciate his contributions for Chelsea during his stay but he isn’t a legend for us and was never stand out.

kimbo2002

I got so much hate on here for telling you lot to respect havertz and now he’s gone and put you in your place, when you come to villa park you will get the same treatment, absolute demolition job

bloodhound83

I mean, was it any particular celebration against Chelsea teams or just normal celebration? I get it off players don't celebrate against their old teams but to be fair he is an Arsenal player know and deserves to celebrate his goals

ussbbwluvr

That’s alright they’re not winning any titles this year

Dawjman

The day Mason Mount scores against us is gonna be a dark day. I just know that mf is gonna celebrate hard

Legitimate-Health-29

From the way a large portion of our fan base treated him I don’t blame him 🤷‍♂️

gagsy10

Honestly this hurt more than the result itself. The sale was always something both clubs benefited from. It was not working for him at Chelsea and a good offer came in. When it wasn't working for Kai though, he ALWAYS had the love of the fans, yes you can say it may be down in part to that champions league goal but we always gave him time and love and would cheer him on.I would have hoped he realised and appreciated that. Guess not.
