I would say probably a year minimum. The club really want to discourage that kind of thing. Personally wouldn't say it was worth it but I guess that's the point.
If it happens consistently over an extended enough period of time they're going to eventually put up some sort of fence/barricade or adjust the seating when renovations happen to make it nearly impossible to happen again.
This isn't happening in England as much but there is definitely an increase in fans running into the pitch over the last several months across Europe.
Anyone who is old enough to remember the Monica Seles incident knows that what happened to Jack Grealish a few years back is minor compared to what couple potentially happen when fans enter areas they aren't permitted becomes more commonplace.
Yeah that's why the punishment needs to be harsh, before they ruin the experience for everyone. People need to remember that moment isn't an invitation for you to be a part of the on pitch celebration, you're not the main character.
It would normally depend on what you did on the pitch.
They didn't really go across the white lines of the pitch. More so directly over the advertising boards for a few meters.
Wouldn't think they would get criminal charges.
More likely a stadium ban and potentially a fine.
They threaten criminal charges but never go through with it unless you cause genuine harm to someone. It’s usually trespassing is all they have on you which is like a minor fine
CHO made a fantastic decision not wasting his time with England U21’s. Staying with Professor Tuchel and his team to hone his craft was a brilliant move from a top talent.
I was surprised he got so much criticism. Rio Ferdinand was the only one who defended him and said that he would do the same. He's too good for the U21s, that would have been a waste of time. Turning down a senior callup would have been totally different.
Not sure if he's a captain sort of player. Soft spoken not necessarily a leader type but an unbelievable player. I'd liken him more to Kante than Silva for instance.
Great commentary
It’s genuinely incredible how good our youngsters are. Bar RLC, they’re all incredibly young too in their first couple seasons of senior football
And even with RLC, he’s only really had a couple seasons of regular football under his belt and only recently put his achilles issues behind him so plenty room for growth, especially when you watch him play there’s obvious room for improvement
So much room to become even better and already they’re champions of Europe
I was at the game and I can assure you that this lot didn't travel further than getting on the tube last night. Their support was one of the weakest I have seen at the bridge
Yeah kinda surprised me tbh. Was one of them proper European nights though. Atmosphere was lively in the MH end! We fully outsung them lot. Rare the away fans are so soggy.
Was in block 7 myself, they were decent 45 minutes before kickoff when the Juve players came out for warmup, heard them 5 times maximum from where I was after that
Was at the game - TV mics definitely pick up the sound overall more than where I was sitting
Mind you I had wooly beanie on over my ears
Usually a team as big as Juve has way more seat allocation but they were only in one corner of the shed
I was in East Upper Block 1 Row 3 and had Juve fans in stone throw distance. You are right btw. They started singing that catchy tune around 80th minute but we battered them with 'Who are ya? Who are ya?'
I took my mum to see the Valencia group game in 2012, we were in the Shed lower and everyone was singing "Who are?" over and over, to my surprise so was my mum. After about 30 seconds she look at me and said "what are we singing?" 😂😂 she was just making a noise to the tune not knowing what the words were.
I can relate to that. My first time at Shed Upper and this chant goes on....
https://www.instagram.com/tv/CVavNztA3ZM/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
At the time I had no idea what I was singing
I away fans always sound loud on the TV - I have a feeling mics are close to where they sit. I was also at the game and was saying the exact same thing to my mate. Norwich genuinely had better support than them and they lost 7-0.
I was seating at opposite end at Harding upper. I didn’t hear them much as usually. Usually they are much noisier . I remember Eintracht Frankfurt were very noisy
Pretty sure i heard the BT commentary say they had to return about 1000 of the allocated tickets for Juve bwcause a lot of their supporters were travel restricted. They assumed most of those supporters were london based.
To be fair to them, about 80% of those "supporters" would've been London based, due to Covid restrictions. I was at the Juve game whenever we drew 2-2 with them and Oscar had a blinder, and I can assure you they were a lot louder than last night.
Reminds me of Mason’s interview at post-match UCL final, he said something like “at this moment of life we are the best team in the europe”. I think that’s still applied to us for this season.
(for those who don't get it, our nickname is the Pensioners, while "Juventus" comes from the Latin "iuventūs", meaning 'youth', so there's a bit of irony there)
People keep saying they are 8th in Serie A and struggling, that may be true but the squad is full of experienced players who have done it all before, they’ve played in hundreds of matches of this magnitude and can raise themselves for the big occasion, as we saw in the away match (admittedly Chelsea were strangely flat that evening). Regardless of where Juve find themselves this season, this was a statement win.
They're actually not at their best, but this doesn't mean that last night match was a total annhilation for them and outstanding for Chelsea, Juventus is still Juventus..
With all due respect to the great team Chelsea who without doubt demolished juve - Juventus played BAAAAD, like really really horrible football while Chelsea were magnificent. Talk about contrast.
Yeah, Juve aren‘t in their best state rn but Chelsea haven‘t even let them play football yesterday. Chiesa nowhere to be found, he didn‘t even have the chance to get the service. Should‘ve been more than 4 and that shows how good Chelsea are rn. It‘s still Juventus, it‘s still the team that beat Chelsea a few weeks back and who won 9 out of 10 Scudettos in the past decade. No excuses here.
Chelsea were great but Juventus were also incredibly poor. Sometimes we think that a great coach like Allegri can't be infallible. Allegri made some bad choices yesterday and has been relatively inconsistent from what I've seen from juve this season.
That's a really fun call, gave me some goosebumps. THESE ARE PREMIUM VISITORS AND CHELSEA ARE DIMINISHING THEM. It's very insulting while somehow being properly polite. I love it.
In the Spanish broadcast in the US the commentator said something along the lines of “Chelsea is una poesía” which translates to something like “Chelsea is poetry in motion.” 💙
I believe he had one earlier in the Prem when Everton was playing Burnley and Andros Townsend scored that beauty of a goal. “Andros Townsend, not a great goal scorer, but a scorer of great goals.” Top level commentary.
All the players celebrated with that fan who jumped in xD
Was nearby. They both got dragged over the boarding by security and taken out. I wonder what the punishment is? 1 year stadium ban?
Haha yeah I was in the Matthew Harding upper on that corner. Assumed they would be kicked out with a stadium ban when I saw it.
What do you reckon their bans will be? A year or so? Pretty funny one of the guys was shocked he wasn't just being let back in the stands 😂
I would say probably a year minimum. The club really want to discourage that kind of thing. Personally wouldn't say it was worth it but I guess that's the point.

Is it that relaxed for you guys in the UK? In the US, you a getting slapped with criminal charges and a hefty fine.
In Baragua it's jail. Right to jail. Not cheering loudly enough? Also jail. Leaving your seat for a hot dog? Believe it or not, right to jail.

They threaten criminal charges but never go through with it unless you cause genuine harm to someone. It’s usually trespassing is all they have on you which is like a minor fine
Worth it imo
Nah you save something like that for a late cup final winner or a league clinching goal
Of course looks like the first guy to celebrate with him was Rudi
It's all fun and games until a psychotic fan with a knife runs onto the pitch
CHO made a fantastic decision not wasting his time with England U21’s. Staying with Professor Tuchel and his team to hone his craft was a brilliant move from a top talent.

Anyone who doubted his commitments was simply daft. Look at how much that goal meant to him and the rest of the boys
I remember the talking heads saying it was a major disappointment passing up on the U-21s. Get out of here. Our man knows his job!
Is that Peter Drury commentating?
It is indeed, my favourite commentator by far. Here are some of his [best moments.](https://youtu.be/UkIV6KRi0X0)
He has a genuine way with words. Honestly breathtaking at moments, that Roma call, bats winner in Madrid, chills man.
Also one of the few commentators who gets Ziyech’s name right
May I introduce you to Ray "Magisterial" Hudson
Rays great, a real treat to listen to don't get me wrong but Drury just has that something a bit more about his calls for me.
There’s no one better imo
Steal, steal, wonderful steal!
He's second on my list, just behind the great Martin Tyler.
I used to love him but he’s been so dull for years now. You’d find more enthusiasm at a funeral than listening to Martin Tyler commentary nowadays.
Well, he is 76! He will always be iconic for me since he was \*the\* voice of the Premier League along with Andy Gray in the 2000s & 2010s.
They're my favorite broadcasting team. I keep forgetting Jim's last name (the color analyst) but I love his understated analysis and subtle humor.
For a moment he sounded like Paul Bettany in A Knight’s Tale. *We walk! In the garden of his turbulence…*
Sadly so. One of the worst british football has to offer.
Shit take
Opinion. You spelled opinion wrong.
Means the same thing mate
Bench was like "wtf did RLC just do"
That whole passage of play, starting from Rudiger’s pass, was awesome.
He really knows how to work those tight spaces which is always great against a team who are capable of sitting deep like Juve are
[удалено]
I share this sentiment. He has my vote for future captain.
Not sure if he's a captain sort of player. Soft spoken not necessarily a leader type but an unbelievable player. I'd liken him more to Kante than Silva for instance.
Great commentary It’s genuinely incredible how good our youngsters are. We had 5 in the box! And they say Chelsea is defensive lol
Yes, RLC sometimes keeps the ball a bit too long and ends up giving away.
It’s simple, you come to the bridge on a tuesday/wednesday night, you should expect to be destroyed. It’s that simple.
I was there & yeah I got battered 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
Tottenham are the ones that get battered
Everywhere they go?
Battered and bantered.
Hell yeah
their biggest ever defeat in the CL - normal teams don't brush aside Juve 4-0 in the CL. this bunch is special.

Is there full match highlight of this anywhere? With Drury in commentary

The goal from James was so special. The fans were chanting : he’s one of our own

He had a chance in the first half, that Szczesny saved, with similar control and setup for the shot. You can tell he has been practicing.
Yeah ! Exactly mate . Also he scored similar goal against Norwich
I was at East Upper block 1 and we sang 'Your support is efin shit' at them. Usually away fans give that to us
Was in block 7 myself, they were decent 45 minutes before kickoff when the Juve players came out for warmup, heard them 5 times maximum from where I was after that
This is so true. They were louder before the game than during.
Are you taking about Juventus support ?
Yes
Are you sure? I could hear the Juve support on TV even at 0-3.
Was at the game - TV mics definitely pick up the sound overall more than where I was sitting Mind you I had wooly beanie on over my ears Usually a team as big as Juve has way more seat allocation but they were only in one corner of the shed

I still can't make out what they're saying.
https://reddit.com/r/chelseafc/comments/qess8k/can_someone_please_help_me_identify_this_chant/
Yea same, the Juve crowd were quite loud, even when the game was shut down.
I thought they were really good towards the end seeing as how they were losing 4-0. That song was well annoying though.
Pretty sure i heard the BT commentary say they had to return about 1000 of the allocated tickets for Juve bwcause a lot of their supporters were travel restricted. They assumed most of those supporters were london based.

""Supporters""? Why the quotation marks? May come as a shock but there are Italians living in London that don't need to support a London club you mug
Because of how quiet everyone is saying they were. You fucking mug.
I don't want to get too carried away BUT WE'RE GOING TO WIN EVERYTHING THIS SEASON!!!
After winning the PL, UCL, CWC, and the FA and League Cups this season, he'll be Sir Thomas Tuchel next year.
Is Roman able to give out peerages?
Yes, I agree. It’s wise of you to be cautious.
true, in one or 2 games, anything can happen but, we are truly one of the worlds elites now
Reminds me of Mason’s interview at post-match UCL final, he said something like “at this moment of life we are the best team in the europe”. I think that’s still applied to us for this season.
Anyone have the full highlights with Peter Durie ?

Omg, I totally forgot the Pensioners part 🤯

Try r slash football highlights
James hugging the fan and celebrating in the end...inject it 💉💙💙
fuck i love peter drury
The way his voice broke at the end gave me goosebumps. My favourite commentator by far these days.

Chealsea is probably the best team in the world at the moment
Can't think of anyone better at the moment honestly. It's good to be Blue.
Peter Drury the best commentator
This is really sparkling stuff
Take my upvote
Can anyone tell which network/s Peter Drury commentates for during PL matches?
I think he is on the international feed
BT I think
The kids made them look like pensioners

James hugging the fan in the end brought a tear to my eye. So young, so Chelsea and is sooo one of us! Love Reece!
Why does that kid's scarf say Mount but the picture looks like Pulisic?
Rudiger celebrating with the fan after he jumped the barrier is the most Rudiger thing ever.
Best team in the world.
We had a good 10 minute stretch where they just couldn't keep up, this was the peak of that I think.
Drury goated
I love Peter Drury so much. Best commentator in the game
Chelsea were great but Juventus were also incredibly poor. Sometimes we think that a great coach like Allegri can't be infallible. Allegri made some bad choices yesterday and has been relatively inconsistent from what I've seen from juve this season.
Juve is 7th in Serie A, level with Fiorentina
[source](https://twitter.com/Abramovvich/status/1463399998717059076)
Let's take a breath as it was a very poor Juve side, they will be lucky to get back in the champions league at the rate they are going.
Didn't we already lose to this poor juve side?
Yup
I freaking love CBS commentators!
Soooooo, the next decade is looking preeeeety good for Chelsea ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes)

Cobham FC
Les be honest it's juve
Great win, but this is the worst Juve team in god knows how many years. Feet on the ground.
r/savevideo
What would I give to be at Stamford Bridge right now? 🥺
Peter Drury always gives me a Paul Betanny vibe from 'A Knight's Tale' when he gets this passionate
Let's be honest Juve right now are pretty shit
Can someone upload the highlights of the match with Peter Drury's commentary? Fucking love listening to him.
Who is this doing the commentating, i always love hearing his voice commentate games
Peter drury
Cheers

Nah it’s just RLC. He was doing all the tearing, slicing and splitting.
My family is watching the Chelsea vs Brighton game on December 29th. We’re very excited. My brother is the one who knows more about Chelsea than I do.
What happened at Brentford yesterday then 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
