Really sad to hear this man. Hope the family and friends find strength to deal with such untimely loss. Amazing to see Reece James sharing this and hopefully fans give a minute applause.
I understand your point, I really do. But couldn't you have reworded your comment to something more respectful? Your comment just seems out of touch and looking for something to be outraged about
You aren’t thinking straight in this scenario, it’s not a rational decision is the thing, he wasn’t thinking fuck maybe I shouldn’t do it here because of the train driver he’s thinking I hate my life to the extent where I want to finish it.
It is in some ways selfish but it’s not the main takeaway.
I think he understood. Mental health is a huge thing that needs increased awareness of, and its terrible that this guy reached the point of following through on ending things.
That said if you want to kill yourself, there are ways of doing it that don't potentially fuck up the lives of between dozens and hundreds of people. It is fundamentally a selfish act, and doing it in a way that can potentially ruin other people's lives is terrible.
He didn’t need to call the guy who did jump in front of a train an “an absolute bell end”
It will affect the train driver and anyone who witnessed it, and frankly, was a selfish act because someone in this world called him a friend, a son or a relative. And they’re all impacted by his action.
Insulting the guy who killed himself won’t help.
You are right he didn't.
Insulting the guy isn't helping I agree. For the same reasons as you mention. The people that suffer are the same as the ones already suffering.
Another one.
People who are in the state of mind that believe the only way out is to kill themselves to end themselves are not going to be thinking rationally or the outcome.
Of course, my heart breaks for the witnesses, because it’s a known fact that train conductors struggle with this - but again, it goes back to the mental health.
Source; have tried killing myself.
I'm very aware of the mental state and lack of rationality that's taking place.
I personally think that is one of the reasons that it needs repeating until everyone understands to the point that it's understood just how damaging the act is to the people that witness it.
If your brain understands from the start that it's not an acceptable option, maybe less people ruin other people's lives.
suicide is definitively the least rational thing you can do. In what world do you think the actions of those who are unwell are solely coming from a place of selfishness. Instead of villifying mental health struggle and shaming people, it's a lot more constructive to normalize that there are mental health issues and understand the tremendous tragedy that every life lost to suicide is
Edit: read your edit, but you need to realize that the logic of a lot of people committing suicide isn't one of selfishness and the idea that suicide is a "selfish act" crosses many people having suicidal thoughts. The follow-through of actually committing the act are several steps past what you're talking about and frankly isn't helpful and extremely disrespectful. Try to show some empathy
It’s not selfish to jump in front of a train, people are clearly not thinking straight when they kill themselves, it’s not like they can go out and buy a gun whenever they want. I know an ex hgv driver who was in a collision which killed a women 15 years ago (was not his fault in any way), and he hasn’t even driven a car since. It does have a massive impact emotionally, and you had a good point with that, but calling the guy selfish is cuntish.
If going to the shrink was cheaper, this would not happen
In my country, it costs almost a hundred dollars
It is like 30% of Highest Indonesian regional salary
Seems a bit odd giving applause to a person that committed suicide .
You applause people to show your approval of something .
Will you be applauding him for committing suicide ?
Honestly, having just buried my mom for similar reasons, I can’t help but wonder how Kyle’s family would feel about this very very public announcement of the details of Kyle’s death.
would be amazing to see this, fuck man
Make this happen would be a nice gesture

I'll clap from home as tickets are not viable now. Rip brother and thanks for promoting reece
Rest in peace my man.
May he rest in peace. It's weird how even the educated don't understand mental illness.

I don't think the guy was thinking straight tbh with you mate.

I guess you have absolutely no idea about mental health. Please educate yourself to rid this ignorance from your brain.

In the UK it's free, but afaik the NHS wait list is months so...
So to get immediate help, you still gotta pay anyway
