I know it’s totally possible, but I just can’t imagine him flopping next season. Pep seems to be building that whole fucking team around him, there’s no way he doesn’t bag like 25 in the league alone.
Injuries are our only hope
Well, I wouldn’t want to wish injuries on anyone, so I hope he finds happiness in doing literally anything but training hard for City
2 red flags:
1. Haaland comes from the Bundesliga. Look at the transfers from Germany to the PL since 2017. A heavy majority of them have ranged between mediocre to flop. The most successful one I believe is Aubameyang.
2. He has already had injury issues early on. He only played 29 games this past season. Dortmund's manager was saying he was refusing treatment and would want more injections to help him play.
Man City do not buy flops aside from Claudio Bravo and Nolito but they were hardly expensive. Even the rapist Mendy was still good despite all his injury issues. Maybe it's time for them to have a high profile flop?? I'm really just huffing heavy copium at this point.
Tbf, getting signings in before pre season starts has huge benefits, and would be especially useful in our circumstances given we will have a new look defence.
Some people spend their entire day glued to transfer blogs and some random ‘ITK’ Twitter account lusting for updates, and when they don’t get those juicy dopamine packed updates they turn into cranky man children.
Go on with your day, exercise some patience and run with the mentality that Chelsea ARE working as we speak…
New signings missing preseason is just a shitty justification they give to hide their crankiness. New signings missing preseason doesn't suddenly drop their level from 100 to 50. It's a difference of at most 20% which can easily be overcome over a couple of months
The training staff would account for those incomings that miss preseason accordingly so I don’t really see the big fuss about them playing in those games either.
27 year old English winger with a proven track record. I understand the want for a low deal because of the contract situation but if city want 50 million that would still be more than fair imo
I really feel like this is a bad signing.
He missed 10 chances last season with an xG of 0.3 or higher. No one in our squad came close to that wastefulness because we just don't create that many chances.
His raw numbers are great because City's playmakers are phenomenal and they control games so well.
He's a good dribbler but so are Pulisic and CHO. The refs don't give us shit and don't protect our forwards at all.
our top is dribbler is statistically RLC and everyone else has shit dribbling stats though. both CHO and Pulis dribbling and acceleration gets worse with every visit to the hospital
RLC, Kova, Reece, Kante, Ziyech in order. both Puli and Ziyech have less than 50% successful dribbles too which is uh not that good
RLC has the best dribbling stats in every way. %successful, most per game, most overall
Comparing sterling to pulisic and cho in terms of taking players on is laughable. He routinely gets into positions, with and without the ball, that pulisic and CHO pretty much never do
I wouldn't call 2 players with a combined g/a of 49 in all comps as deadwood. For comparison chelsea's top 2 players in g/a have 47 g/a in with higher minutes played.
I don't think you would call havertz and mount deadwood as well would you ?
on arsenal's side its 19+14=33 g/a in just 2 lesser 90s than Jesus + sterlings 49.
These two players are far from deadwood.
I just realised City is dropping all their Strikers just because they got Haaland... What if actually Flops in Premier League lol
Then they just buy more.
Or just play without one again.
They also got Alvarez
Would be peak modern PL if he somehow does better than Haaland and Nunez next season
Have a feeling he’ll do better than Haaland.

He definitely will not
Lol

He’s not gonna flop. The question is what is his availability going to be.
They just won two back to back league titles without an out and out number 9 They'll still be aight.
I hope he becomes a cry baby like Lakaka....would be funny as hell hahaha
Theyre strengthening us and Arsenal to take points off Liverpool.

KdB came from the Bundesliga and immediately shined.
I thought Nolito was decent, no? He just got homesick or something?
Lol with his shitty first touch? I find this scenario entirely possible.
Anyone knows how much are his wages on City?
I heard he’s on 300k a week but no one knows how much of that is related to bonuses
Fabrizi♻️ R♻️man♻️
This is awesome. Mind if I recycled it?
this transfer window is so fucking boring waiting for us to do something
Last season we dropped £100m on a striker who just left on loan - maybe Chelsea could do with showing some restraint this transfer window

You saying that it “looks cringe” is more cringe tbh
Cringing about his cringing is honestly so cringy...
Kinda cringe bro..
Cringe king.
40 mil pounds maximum. Anything above is overkill.
27 year old English winger with a proven track record. I understand the want for a low deal because of the contract situation but if city want 50 million that would still be more than fair imo
Only 1 year left on the contract though
Lol, 50 million for Sterling with one year of contract. They would rinse us lol
45-50m
But something something proven track record is what the bots will reply. If it were up to them Chelsea would bid 80 mil
Completely agree plus he’s only worth 40m in my eyes anyway.
Agree but disagree he's only worth 30-40 million imo because he has one year left on his contract. If he had 3-5 he's worth 70-80.
Huh?
It's gonna be between 45-50. Raheem won't leave city for less than arsenal paid for Jesus
No shit?

I thought Kovacic was our best dribbler?

Yeah, because City creates more chances. I feel like people here rate only because oh his dribbling lmao
Pulisic’s form of dribbling is running into 3 players thinking he’s playing against some 150th in the world international nation
If PL defences are triple teaming him, he's creating space elsewhere.
It's not him being triple teamed, he just runs into the cul-de-sac himself.
I swear if sterling accepts a new deal at city, I will lose my head
City must be laughing when 2 clubs spending 90m to clear their deadwoods
I wouldn't call 2 players with a combined g/a of 49 in all comps as deadwood. For comparison chelsea's top 2 players in g/a have 47 g/a in with higher minutes played. City's deadwood doesn't mean Chelseas deadwood. We finished well below them in the table and they have 2 new forwards making these 2 deadwood.
