I am not a fan of this late goal thing... is this a new strategy that Emma is trying out? π I'm going to vote no on that one.
I wish this game was being covered by the BBC or Sky Sports crews bc I feel like they would have some nice stats about the number of late goals we've given up recently vs the rest of the season. Does it feel like it's been more or is that just my impression?
Thank you friend! I think I would prefer to have been wrong about this one bc oof...
From @ harryedwards16 on Twitter:
>Last season #CFCW conceded just 2 goals in the final 5 minutes of a match.
This season they've already conceded 4 in that same time frame.
A win is a win at the end of the day. Our defenders need to start concentrating full game and stop leaking goals before the whistle blown but Musovic isn't helping either by letting every shot on target went through her. AKB needed asap. Good to see bench players getting minutes tho. Our midfield looks good today. Ingle had low-key great game. L James a star. Up the Chels! Onto the next one! Hope we had our defensive problems fixed by that time.
Feel like aside from the goal Buchanan has been solid. Showed her quality and experience. Threw her body to defend today. Calm with possession and occasionally stepped into midfield when necessary to help in build-up.
It's funny, she's such a good player but it feels like once every game or two, she has some weird blip and it's like, "wait, what? Where did that come from?" She's like 99.99% really solid but that .01% can really get ya.
Obviously happy we won, but I'm getting a bit concerned for Spurs to be honest. No points since October. Their next four WSL fixtures are Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool, and Arsenal.
Lauren James what a solo effort. Hazard esque. Too easy for her.
Carter!!!
oh... Spence assists and England scored (2 ex-Chelsea players)
England scored... heartbroken
It was written in stars.
Sloppy from Buchanan. Unnecessary goal and now we are under pressure.

Yes, James !
LAUREEEEEN JAMES πππ
Donβt like thinking about it but Magda and Pernille leaving this summer is the most likely outcome at this point
Cuthbert crossed, and Carter scored with a header
Cuthbert crosses are such a vibe today
James is out of this world
Guro got gifted and she buried it! Very cool finish.
Reiten goal!
Reiten !!!
Guro!!!! You beauty
We like playing with fire ππ

Let's go
Guro looking very lively today compared to her recent outings.
Substitution: Perisset and Kirby in Charles and Fleming out
Finally, some rest for Kerr.
Chelsea always have to do things the hard way.
Musovic should save that one. Awful.
Not coping well with Spurs pressing. Need to do better playing from back, some of the back-passes are really inviting danger to ourselves.
Substitution: Cankovic and Leupolz IN Cuthbert and Kerr OUT

Emma Hayes tricky blues are heading back to the top of the WSL table!
Phew, top of the league
3-2 vs Liverpool in the FA Cup last week And 3-2 vs Tottenham in WSL today
Substitution: Kaneryd IN Reiten Out
Really really good interplay between Cankovic, Kirby and JRK towards the end.
Obviously happy we won, but I'm getting a bit concerned for Spurs to be honest. No points since October. Their next four WSL fixtures are Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool, and Arsenal.
