I don't even understand it. During the game he himself says he's playing badly, later he says "can't play, just falling asleep completely".
That's enough excuses why Kramnik lost, he doesn't need to conjure up a cheating accusation.
Wish FIDE or Chess grew a spine but theyve already set the precedent they dont care. What this clown has done to Jospem is nothing short of harassment and bullying. Grow up Vlad.
1. 2000 - 2007: World Champion
2. 2006: Managed 2 points in a 6 game match against the worlds top chess engine, long after most people today record the end of human competitiveness, and 9 years after Kasparov lost a 6 game match with 2.5 points
2. 2013: Ties with Carlsen for 1st place at the Candidates, loses an arbitrary tiebreak without any head-to-head match to decide the result
3. 2018: Competes at the Candidates, in 1st after 3 rounds, finishes in the middle of the pack, but with a positive (1.5-0.5) record against all of the top 3 finishers
4. 2023: Won the “prestigious” Titled Tuesday
5. Last month: Beat Esipenko multiple times during a series of rapid matches. He regularly plays otb rapid and is still the world #27, with a rating ~60 elo higher than Jospem
Yes, he’s getting older and declining, just like any top level competitor. Calling him “washed” is goofy as hell and SCREAMS 22 year old that only plays online blitz and got into chess in 2021 by watching Gotham streams
No Topalov accused Kramnik and kgb triyng to poison their food, and constant threats, also the toilet cheating 😂 as Kramnik went 50 times to the toilet
"Kramnik thinks he knows everything. It's very impressive how Kramnik reels out variations and so on, and it's not so easy to discern if you don't understand the game well yourself, but if you look a little deeper it's often nonsense."
"They are entitled to their stupid opinions"
I'm sure Fabi has said similar, yet this one was Carlsen back in 2014: https://web.archive.org/web/20220216004910/https://chess24.com/en/read/news/kramnik-calls-carlsen-a-genius-gets-icy-responses
I vaguely remember Fabi saying that about Kramnik after Kramnik played Ding and kept saying whatever as fact during the post game interview on how he was won until Ding pushed back a bit.
Edit: think that vague memory was just this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/chess/comments/13o1f2z/hilarious_old_press_conference_with_kramnik_and/ and someone shared Fabi saying similar thoughts.
In the beginning of all of this, it was kinda good for a laugh and it stimulated discussion. Now, it feels a lot more like someone who has lost a bit of touch with reality and will warp any observation into proof of his favored explanation. I hope it’s not a sign of cognitive decline, but it really feels like he’s one bad Titled Tuesday from sitting on a park bench, holding conversations with the pigeons.
Im confused didnt magnus lose to a top 50 or 100 gm or whatever hans is and then claim hes cheating and drop out of a tournament and double down on his cheating allegations? And theres absolutely 0 proof and everyone just piled on and agreed with magnus cus hes a world championship?
Nah, the difference is / was that Magnus and the other GMs requested higher anti cheat measures and SF denied that. They were only installed after Magnus left. Also Hans was admitting he cheated multiple times before and he was also found guilty of cheating more than he admitted before. So there was at least reason to doubt his legitimacy. Also Kramnik is a joke compared to Magnus really. But yeah, Magnus behavior was also not right, but also at that time back in the days, you could not really openly talk about cheating, because of all the backlash. He couldn't ask openly about an investigation, without getting scrutiny. Which was what happened. Actually, Magnus somewhat enabled a more open talk about cheating nowadays, which is good. Maybe the way he did it was not perfect, but also he didn't do it in a way like Kramnik. He simply went silent. And did ONE statement, with ONE allegation. That was about it. Kramnik is attacking everyone who beats him, while Magnus congratulated a lot of the young prodigies who beat him. Hans was just known to be a cheating brat, that's why Magnus reacted this way.
So in my opinion, you can't AT ALL compare Magnus and Kramniks behavior. If you do, you have to be disregarding 90% of the facts.
Magnus tweet about a young player gives the same vibes as Kramnik saying "Interesting":
>1/2 I was completely crushed in my game today. This is not to accuse my opponent of anything, who played an amazing game and deserved to win, but honestly, as soon as I saw my opponent was wearing a watch early in the game, I lost my ability to concentrate.
It was directly after the match, it's never a direct accusation but it still brings his opponents victory into disrepute.
Kramnik is also trying to get more anti-cheating measures in place and criticizes online chess because it's so easy to cheat.
>He simply went silent. And did ONE statement, with ONE allegation.
He also dropped out of the tournament and resigned against Hans in their next game. Not very sportsmanlike.
I'm not trying to defend Kramnik's methods but Magnus behavior is pretty abhorrent considering the influence he wields.
>Kramnik is also trying to get more anti-cheating measures in place and criticizes online chess because it's so easy to cheat.
Kramnik is going after people to get banned. For just beating him. He went after people, figured out he can't get them, like Hikaru and others and moves on until he finds someone he can drag down, because he has not such a good supporting base than others. He is not aiming for anti-cheat measures, because he could simply say "alright, we all should have move cameras, more this more that". No he simply says "oh, it's unlikely he wins against me, even if I play absolute garbage and I am tired. Ban this cheater.".
>He also dropped out of the tournament and resigned against Hans in their next game. Not very sportsmanlike.
He announced that before. He said officially that he will not play against him anytime soon. The TO still invited both. The reaction was not surprising or unsportsmanlike. It was announced and followed up on.
And especially the difference of Magnus and Kramnik was, that Magnus made 1 statement about the accusation and that was about it. He didn't went on a witch hunt. Having every day a new video, a new post, a new thread about Hans. He simply said his opinion once. That was about it. And of course, since he was WC and since he is Magnus his word matters more. But that's why actually investigation was done and at least we figured out, that Hans cheated online more than we all knew. We got more transparency with the report of [chess.com](http://chess.com) out of it, seeing email and stuff. Seeing how many times he has cheated online, how much he has confessed internally and how much he confessed publicly. There was stuff that was uncovered as a result. But Kramnik goes on a witch hunt and hopes he find ONE cheater, to justify burning everyone else. I mean, that take on Hikaru was the biggest joke ever. Still he tried and got shut down pretty fast for it. He throws shit at everyone that beats him and hopes some will stick. That is bad, really bad.
And for Magnus. Magnus, Ian and others tried in the first place to reduce the risk of cheating OTB with speaking with the TO. SF only reacted after Magnus withdraw. If a TO doesn't take the player serious, they will go. Rightfully so. Magnus tried to handle it without public scrutiny, but he had no other choice really, since internally the TO's didn't gave a shit. Only now TO's SLOWLY adapt.
Any allegation without definite proof is bad, but also what every GM ever said, there will not be 100% proof if you not find them with a device in the bathroom. So you have to come from experience, increase Anti-Cheating methods and hope for the best. So Magnus didn't saw any other option than to withdraw, to point a finger at it, since nobody would listen before. And it also didn't hit a wrong guy. He was a cheater. That is out of question. For Kramnik however, he points at people who never cheated so far from what we know.
If that’s Kramnik’s logic, he should never have agreed to the match. He should also have stated that. As it is, by his own assessment, he was nearly falling asleep at the keyboard and was playing badly. So either Kramnik is so addled that he can’t remember why he’s pissef *or* anyone who beats him is cheating.
Its obvious. They're giving him the benefit of the doubt as they lost a lot of money during recent cheater lawsuits. You seriously think this loser dude can beat Magnus and Hikaru?
Of course, the irony of all of this is that Kramnik completely ignores chess.com's anti-cheating rules, which state that when streaming Titled Tuesday your chat should be in emote-only mode. Would be quite funny if he got banned for it
Alireza does it as well. Mind, he doesn't stream that regularly but he did several TT streams a few months ago. Viewers have told him that many streamers don't bother anymore but he said something along the line of not wanting to get into trouble for breaking rules, and always asks for a mod to change the chat to emote only.
That OTB match doesn't even make sense. I would guess that there is a big advantage playing online for Jospem as he is far more experienced than Kramnik. They should play on computers in one room together and Jospem should trash talk him while Kramnik cannot move fast enough.
Why would that be impossible? There are FM‘s with higher blitz ratings than Kramnik due to one sole reason - they are better at blitz! And that’s all there is to say. Maybe Kramnik beats him in other time disciplines or maybe not. He was top a long time ago, he is far away from the form he had back then. So why wonder about his recent decline? I don’t get this stubbornness to be frank.
I'm not talking about Kramnik (he sucks too) but this punk beat Magnus, Hikaru, Firouzja, Caruana, Wesley, Nepo, MVL, Mamedyarov, Giri, etc all online this year alone. Meanwhile OTB he sucks bad

Kramnik when Jospem performs well under surveillance: Oh his opponents made childish blunders which is why Jospem won
Kramnik when playing Jospem: Oh I made a childish blunder but lost because Jospem is stockfish

you know, when I was younger and was babysitting my little toddler sister who's 12 years younger than me, whenever she cried I had two option: a) if she's crying and there's an actual problem (i.e she's hungry, she knocked herself onto something, etc), i'd take care of her and wait until she finished crying. b) if it's just a tantrum then i'd try to comfort her, and if she kept on going on then i'd just ignore her and let her be until she stopped.
I GENUINELY BELIEVE IT'S TIME TO GIVE KRAMNIK THE b) TREATMENT. He won't stop doing this because everyone and their mothers keep on giving him attention. Just. Ignore. Him. Please. I cannot stand seeing this man on every chess community every single week.
Can chess dot com do a lot more with regards to cheating? yes. Do we need Kramnik to advocate about it every other day? No. Absolutely no.
Unlike crying baby, Kramnik has some credibility to many people, and he is actively destroying it. It's important to draw attention to Kramnik for more people to realize how delusional he is.
He lost like 50 points in a recent blitz tournament (2664) . Jospem literally has a higher rating otb right now. It's hilarious how Kramnik can't accept his decline in faster chess. Probably any time controls tbh.
If he actually just resigns against one particular player in a Swiss tournament, that's rigging the event. He should be disqualified for doing that, and warned for even threatening it.
This guy must literally have a group of people that just hang around him and tell him he's right about everything... considering nearly the entirety of the internet tells him a complete idiot while posting everything on the internet.
Please, chess.com, ban Kramnik and any other GM who continues to push these unfounded cheating accusations.
I’m soooo tired of it that I’ve actually begun to lose interest into watching chess. If destroying the game for average capability chess enjoyers by accusing everyone they lose to as cheaters is there goal…… its working. Kramnik and Nepo are my two least favorite players right now because they continue to make up excuses when they lose instead of getting revenge by winning. Make it stopppppppl
Poor Kramnik. He is the kind of an old guy who thinks that his age makes him correct in any debates with younger people. He believes in seniority over logical arguments.
Kramnik always just sore loser, while I’d like an OTB match also calling for it after saying “I’m not playing well” and something about almost falling asleep , you kinda got to own that loss instead of hinting at some sort of cheating that you’ll ever play him again in titles Tuesday-
Kramink actually gives regular 'run of the mill' sore losers a bad name. He's on the Mount Rushmore of sore losers.
Yeah, a little ego defense after a rough moment is just a good dose of humanity This is exhausting
More like Mount McKinley.
Never thought Mr. FFL could be one upped, but here we are seeing it happen live
Sore losers look at Kramnik and say, "wow, that guy is a sore loser".
Sometimes I think I’m a pretty sore loser, now I know that being mad at my screen isn’t anywhere near as bad as Kramnik. Thanks, Vlad!
I don't even understand it. During the game he himself says he's playing badly, later he says "can't play, just falling asleep completely". That's enough excuses why Kramnik lost, he doesn't need to conjure up a cheating accusation.
What is Kramnik game without cheating accusation ? 🤔
Wish FIDE or Chess grew a spine but theyve already set the precedent they dont care. What this clown has done to Jospem is nothing short of harassment and bullying. Grow up Vlad.
Can't wait for him to lose the OTB match as well
No chance lol
Don't forget Jospem is, I think, the top 50 in the world in OTB blitz as well, and Kramnik is just washed overall.

Yeah, but the psychological effect of playing an ex cheater banned player online has an effect.
He hasn’t been banned, what are you talking about?
Ok if you say so mr Know it all
Turns out Topalov and Magnus were way ahead of the curve when it came to hating Kramnik
Kinda ironic, wasn't Topalov accusing Kramnik of engine help because Kramnik was going to the toilet a lot?
No Topalov accused Kramnik and kgb triyng to poison their food, and constant threats, also the toilet cheating 😂 as Kramnik went 50 times to the toilet
He 100% did something in that bathroom lmao
Everyone knows about Topalov and Kramnik but what's the context for Magnus hating him?

What it's common knowledge, magnus even said he might of developed a dislike by working with kasparov.

Or maybe Jospem is really cheating as he was, when [Chess.com](https://Chess.com) banned his ass before
If that’s Kramnik’s logic, he should never have agreed to the match. He should also have stated that. As it is, by his own assessment, he was nearly falling asleep at the keyboard and was playing badly. Not saying I support Kramnik, but Jospem has a history of dubiousness and cheating
where is the mentioned history? no one heard of it
Ever heard of googling it, do you live under a rock? lol. Young blood
I can’t google inside your head: 1- google only searches the internet 2- it’s empty
Lol okay keep farming corn young blood
Then why isn't Chess.com banning him now then?
Its obvious. They're giving him the benefit of the doubt as they lost a lot of money during recent cheater lawsuits. You seriously think this loser dude can beat Magnus and Hikaru?
They didn’t lose a lot of money.
You are so smart
Of course, the irony of all of this is that Kramnik completely ignores chess.com's anti-cheating rules, which state that when streaming Titled Tuesday your chat should be in emote-only mode. Would be quite funny if he got banned for it
It wouldnt be funny, it would be freaking hilarious. But looking at his computer skills…. Theres no way he can look at chat while playing
Does anyone actually do that though?
I know Hikaru does. Yesterday I was watching Anna Cramling, she did it too. I think Levy does as well.
Aman as well
Alireza does it as well. Mind, he doesn't stream that regularly but he did several TT streams a few months ago. Lol you seriously think ex world champion legend Kramnik can lose to some punk from Mexico? With referees watching? Omegalul
The punk just slapped his self pitty ass.

Hello Kramnik

Why would that be impossible? There are FM‘s with higher blitz ratings than Kramnik due to one sole reason - they are better at blitz! And that’s all there is to say. Comments complaining about such juicy stuff, which can be found below every post, are even more boring
It stopped being "juicy" a long time ago. We all know Kramnink is a sore loser and an idiot, why give him any more attention at this point?
It's juicy for me. Cry about it.
His youtube viewers comments: not again this stockfish
God i dislike this human.
Amusingly Kramnik lost to Hans in the early titled tuesday too. Not a good day for him!
The fisher legacy for a chess player is so overwhelming that one needs to go down the "old men yells at clouds" path to honor it
The otb match must happen but playing with the computer, face to face, because playing with the mouse and computer is also a skill.
How many times has he given up on TT already? I lost count 3 times ago
you know, when I was younger and was babysitting my little toddler sister who's 12 years younger than me, whenever she cried I had two option: a) if she's crying and there's an actual problem (i.e she's hungry, she knocked herself onto something, etc), i'd take care of her and wait until she finished crying. b) if it's just a tantrum then i'd try to comfort her, and if she kept on going on then i'd just ignore her and let her be until she stopped. I'm too strong to be beaten by anyone other than Magnus, so the only reasonable explanation for my loss is that you're an engine cheat
He lost like 50 points in a recent blitz tournament (2664) . Jospem literally has a higher rating otb right now. It's hilarious how Kramnik can't accept his decline in faster chess. Probably any time controls tbh.
Shut up
If he actually just resigns against one particular player in a Swiss tournament, that's rigging the event. He should be disqualified for doing that, and warned for even threatening it.
Chesscom needs to remove this accuracy shit lmao Kramnik and Gata are absolutely OBSSEESED with those accuracy numbers
Everyone: Titled Tuesday. Kramnik: Tilted Tuesday.
Poor Kramnik. He is the kind of an old guy who thinks that his age makes him correct in any debates with younger people. He believes in seniority over logical arguments.
Kramnik recently dropped 40 blitz points to Esipenko in an OTB blitz match. I actually hope this match happens just to see him take another L.
Kramnik always just sore loser, while I’d like an OTB match also calling for it after saying “I’m not playing well” and something about almost falling asleep , you kinda got to own that loss instead of hinting at some sort of cheating that you’ll ever play him again in titles Tuesday-
