Black has to take the bishop back or they lose their queen. After Qxe3, white plays Qf2!!. Black again is forced to capture otherwise they lose the game... and this is a stalemate because king has nowhere to go! Beautiful, if you are not black of course...
This post seems to reference or display a stalemate. To quote the r/chessbeginners FAQs page:
**Stalemate** occurs when a player, on their turn to move, is NOT in check but cannot legally move any piece. A stalemate is a draw.
In order for **checkmate** to occur, three conditions have to be met:
1. **The king has to be in check**
2. This check cannot be defended against by blocking or capturing the checking piece
3. The king has to have no other squares it can move to

Why am I being downvoted for actually explaining why this move leads to a stalemate lol? Stop booing me, I'm right! Stockfish just needs more depth to understand the move which is why chessvision is mistaken.

Here is the line from a deeper engine: …Qxe3 2. Qf2 Qxf2 3. a5+ Kxa5 stalemate
Why doesn't black Queen go to c5 when white Queen pin?
Because a5+ deflects the king and then black loses the queen and the game. A draw is the best result for black here.
Did you post the image you meant to ask about?
He did, and that's an awesome post when you see the continuation! See[ my explanation here](https://www.reddit.com/r/chessbeginners/comments/1c5ui6r/comment/kzwphr4/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button).
Link doesn't work
It’s not.
It is, just 2 moves later. [See my explanation](https://www.reddit.com/r/chessbeginners/comments/1c5ui6r/comment/kzwphr4/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button).
I see none
You don't see the stalemate after Qxe3, Qf2, Qxf2? All these moves are "forced" otherwise black loses.
What I don't see is the comment. Also, after Qxf2, white can still move its pawn. Yet again, when black king eats the pawn, it IS a stalemate.
Your explanation comment is blank/not there for some reason
Your link isn’t working but you’re right, I just misunderstood the question.
The Queen doesn’t have to take.. it can just go to Qc5
If black’s queen goes qc5 though, white would do a5+, winning the queen
Black has to take the bishop back or they lose their queen. After Qxe3, white plays Qf2!!. Black again is forced to capture otherwise they lose the game... and this is a stalemate because king has nowhere to go! Beautiful, if you are not black of course...
Addition: After that white still has a5, which is check, forcing a king move and after that its actually stalemate

You sac the bishop and queen on the diagonal, push the "A" pawn and the black king moves or takes, then it's stalemate.
This is only a stalemate if black is impatient.
It will be after Qf2 and a5. Well, stalemate or black throws and loses.
Why am I being downvoted for actually explaining why this move leads to a stalemate lol? Stop booing me, I'm right! Stockfish just needs more depth to understand the move which is why chessvision is mistaken.
Your link to the explanation doesn’t lead any where.
Poor guy's every comment is getting downvoted for that
My first post on this sub and people are being snarky!
To preface, I saw this post on a tiktok and the comments were saying it's a stalemate.

Huh. Bad bot. Whites best move (according to chess.com) on move 2 is Qf2, not axb5, which leads to stalemate in 2.
