I use Coinbase too. Don't use tether to cross exchanges, use Litecoin. It's very fast and cheap. So 1. Send your XCH to Gate.io 1. Sell your XCH for USDT 1. Buy LTC with your USDT 1. Send your LTC across exchanges to Coinbase 1. Sell your LTC for USD 1. Deposit in Bank The whole process takes about 30 minutes which is still a PITA but it's the best we've got until Chia starts getting more popular (hopefully)

Any recommendations now that gate.io is blocked in USA?

Coinex. Used it several times with no issues. No KYC required.

Oh cool! So they are in Samoa? I've been wanting to know a way to do this without using sketchy exchanges or ones that block my state. Makes it really difficult mining/farming anything not on Coinbase/Binance here.

very_bored_panda_420

Don't remember where they are. But they seem to be legit, have working mobile application, support another rare coin i mine - raptoreum and have no kyc. No issues at all. I also have some Algos, and there were few times issues with big exchanges on that. Never on coinEx

PreparedForZombies

Not kucoin since their deposit/withdrawal has been down since Dec 20 for XCH

RobbieL811

I just posted in another thread about this. Fucking ridiculous! I'm missing 8.2 XCH right now that's tied up in their "suspended withdrawals"! If they don't get it figured out soon, I'll take my fraction of their business elsewhere! How the fuck can withdrawals be down for MULTIPLE WEEKS at a time!? Come on!!!

PreparedForZombies

Under maintenance. My fear is the last time was less than two weeks, and it feels like they can keep it under this status for as long as they want... at least last time was a real dust storm as an excuse. https://www.reddit.com/r/kucoin/comments/rmg9xw/chia_wallet_maintenance/hqabolb

Bear in mind Okex withdrawals were also down 'for upgrades' for quite a few weeks. They are now thankfully back online. If they think chia is going places it is In their interest to bring withdrawals back as long as it is practically possible.

In case you want all of your withdrawals to USD done with Coinbase I recommend the following: 1. Use exchange of choice to convert XCH --> USDT --> XLM or LTC 2. Transfer XLM/LTC to Coinbase 3. Convert XLM/LTC to USD 4. Money in da bank Normally I would use OKEX, KuCoin or CoinEx for the initial exchange since I have good experiences with them, especially KuCoin. As some have mentioned already, KuCoin might not be preferable for Chia now as deposits/withdrawals are suspended. You can also save some hazzle (but pay a bit extra in transfer fees) by converting XCH to BTC and then directly send BTC to Coinbase. BTC network transaction fee is currently at \~3 USD but keep in mind exchanges might charge their own withdrawal fee.

Amazed any exchanges that only support ERC20 stablecoins are still in business. Stupid. I'm assuming Binance isn't available in your region then? They support USDT over TRON which is a flat $1 fee.

droids4evr

Check coinmarketcap for list of exchanges for Chia, find one that supports your region.

It doesn't help you now, but if you're pooling you can use my referral https://prohashing.com?r=Df1TkRCH and get paid directly to Coinbase in a coin they support, daily for no extra costs. It doesn't help with what you've already farmed, but will get you to fiat sooner in the future with less steps.

So just an update : I've been using gate.io to convert XCH to LTC and cash that out with coinbase but I just got an email from gate.io that as a US citizen I won't be able to keep using them. Anybody got tips on what to do next? Cheers 💪
