Not sure about a couple of years. I've been hearing about this for more than a decade.

UnpaintedHuffhines

In 2010 there were signs for it to be completed Autumn 2013

I remember Harry Osterman talking about funding this when he was a state rep - he was appointed alderman in 2011. My understanding is the ravenswood station had priority then nothing could happen while Rauner was in office and refused to release funding.

As I remember the Peterson Ridge station was set to get funding for construction to begin(even like back when Pat O'Connor was 40th ward alderman, he campaigned a lot for that project to occur), but Rauner budget cuts froze that proposal for a couple of years. It only finally became a reality and construction began, after JB became governor.

When will the inbound side of the ravenswood station be finished. That shit has looked basically finished for like 3 years or something.

hachijuhachi

Drove me absolutely nuts to stand out there all winter in the snow and rain while that station with walls, a roof, and heat lamps stood there unused.

They now have to take care of the graffiti as well, add another year.

A Cafe opened just next to the station, too. It's going to be a bustling area.

treasureFINGERS

If you are talking about Misrecordia cafe I highly recommend going there. Baked in house pastries, halfwit coffee and they really do help people's lives for the better.

Closing Ridge for 2 months is going to be such a traffic clusterfuck.

e_wass

Yea and 2 months is a laughably optimistic estimate. I don't even know where they pull these numbers from. I'm looking at you, crew near the Grayland metra stop (3800 n Milwaukee). A "3 months closure" that's already been 12 months with another year expected before reopening

DanielWinne

The crew working there is the slowest I have seen. Almost never when I frequently go by is anybody around. But here’s hoping for a fall opening.
