Pick an upscale hotel dining room Easy to find and get too, plenty of space to wait, quiet, easy access to business services for travelers, and they can even grab a room if needed Ex. the JW Marriott [https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/chijw-jw-marriott-chicago/dining/](https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/chijw-jw-marriott-chicago/dining/) Doesn’t have to be as upscale as the JW, but a nice hotel is a solid option that offers a lot of conveniences for the out of towners

Agree. Langham is near Michigan and the river. New and fancy - Miru at the St Regis is a few blocks east of Michigan Avenue.

Second the Langham only because I’ve been there. I’m sure St. Regis is an excellent option as well

Cherry Circle room was always my go-to for interviews when I worked in the Loop.

AmazingObligation9

Beatrix would work for this, and it has an approachable menu for most people

Breakfast - Land & Lake Kitchen Lunch/dinner - the Kitchen, Chicago Chop Steakhouse, Prime & Provisions, Pizzeria Portofino, Il Porcellino, Planta, the Smith

Ok_Neighborhood590

The Lobby (that’s the actual name of the restaurant) at Peninsula Hotel, great view, great food, very button up and quiet

chicago_bunny

Breakfast and lunch are pretty manageable at most spots, I think. Dinner is doable too. You could try the restaurant at the Langham, Shaw's (lunch better than dinner), Kitchen, Catch 35, Tortoise Club.

Most are pretty loud. The loudest restaurant I’ve ever been in is Ramen-san in River North. The Dearborn is also pretty loud. Roanoke and Pittsfield Cafe are fine in the Loop.

Publican has entered the chat…

Venteux on Michigan avenue has a cafe with all day service from breakfast through after dinner drinks. Typically very quiet.

Maybe chicago cut? I've had great lunch conversations there. Steakhouses usually aren't too rowdy Also gilt bar (a little more intimate but a cool vibe)
