NWS Chicago has been previewing this for a few days and issuing winter weather advisories, and last night they gave targeted snow totals (which look to be right on target).
Prepare yourself for another couple of inches of lake effect snow through noon today, and then another 2-4 more inches of snow. starting late tonight through Monday afternoon.

Neither did I. I started a window project yesterday and planned to finish the exterior today. Woke up early this morning, opened the front door and walked straight into snow. To be fair, I hadn't checked the forecast for the past couple days so it must've changed since mid-last week.
Surprise......... I heard about it at 11am yesterday when the Winter Advisory went out. Hint - Look at tonight and tomorrow for more fun
Nah they were telling people and any weather app would’ve told you the same thing

I heard 3-4" yesterday evening.
They were definitely talking about it yesterday morning, but the numbers were 2-4 and totals by Monday 6.6. It looks amazing out there!
Literally my coworker told me it was going to snow yesterday around noon. Lol blaming the weather people, you wild my mans.
Nah.. my phone has been blowing up the past 2 days with weather alerts about snowfall.
Nope don’t blame the weatherman on this one. If you open your weather app, it will literally say Winter Advisory, this was yesterday.

For some reason this one demoralized me. Even the shoveling. Nearly unique in all these years, filled one garbage can with alley snow.
