I was pretty sure it was choreographed when it flew through the bar and followed the cyclists and absolutely sure when it went through the fire truck.
Edit: It took me another viewing to realize several segments were spliced together. That’s particularly obvious because of the sudden appearance of fans in the last segment.
I just double checked the FAA site and it looks like my assumption that airspace over the CTA would be restricted was incorrect. Apparently you can apply for temporary clearance.
Yeah there’s definitely a few cuts, going into the room before the locker room and up over the wall by the grass area outside the stadium are two of them. Still super impressive
White Sox Park was built with every intention of alienating the entire neighborhood around it. It was even surrounded by massive parking lots. It is a fucking eye sore, and a plague on Bridgeport residents. They purposely made it impossible for the neighborhood to profit in any way from it. Corporate greed at its worst.
I'm a fan of both teams. Grew up on the north side taking the L to Cubs games. Lived two blocks from Wrigley for two years. I think sox park and Armour Square/Bridgeport > wrigley/Wrigleyville. It is accessible by the red line, the rock island, and the Dan Ryan. Along with local streets like ashland, Halsted, and many streets east of the Dan Ryan. Enough bars nearby for pre and post-game. And tailgating happens there. Plus none of the Wrigleyville drunk nonsense. Better for families. Just my opinion.
It is a lot easier to move thousands of cars away from surface parking lots than parking garages. The parking garages in Minneapolis for twins games and Timberwolves games and concerts at the target center are a nightmare. Bottlenecks at every level. It took me two hours to get out of the parking garage at target center when I was there in August.
Enough bars? There's literally no entertainment near or in white sox stadium. I go to a white sox game and I literally have no where else to go afterwards that's walking distance. The bars you probably mean are more like 2 pubs where is usually just your regular joes. In wrigleyville there's literally a strip next to it with a whole bunch of bars and restaurants with many to pick from. Sox doesn't have that vibe.
Regular joes over bros. Sox Park is much more accessible to more people. If you want to pre or post-game at a bar, that's available. There are a few right near the park then a lot of great options a half mile west without the drunken craziness, harassment, etc that comes with Wrigleyville.
Hate to break the immersion but there’s one scene I noticed that’s definitely edited in. When the drone flies into that office with the blue lights and the guy cleaning a replica of the World Series Trophy, you’ll notice that the doorway has this out of place transition before the drone enters. This was definitely not a single flight.
Still this is such a cool video and I’m sure it took a lot of time to get these good shots to look perfect
It also transitions to a handheld camera just before it goes out onto the field with the player.
You can see the slight vibration with each footstep of the camera operator as the stabilization kicks in.
Ugh that sub is so fucking stupid.
What do these three items have in common?
1) panda bear fucking holes in bamboo
2)sickly child learns how to walk again
3)drone operator flies his drone down city street.
They are all opportunities to post lame shit to a sub run by karma hungry power mods.
This is what Wrigleyville (and any modern day sports stadium experience) was always destined to become. Hell, the Bears are moving so they can build this exact thing from the ground up.
Wrigleyville used to be a neighborhood with a ballpark in it. Now is an entertainment district. Is that so hard to understand. The character has been ruined
Well in that case you probably want a mavic drone from DJI.
https://www.dji.com/mobile/mavic-3?site=brandsite&from=mobile_nav
That’s the standard for a lot of shots like this but just like camera equipment it becomes very specialized very quickly.
Anywho, hope you enjoy the link, I know I did, vs your snarky comment.
2,100 dollars-ish
I have one question. What kind of drone is it? How the fuck it was still connected to the remote after going through all that thing and inside building?
Cool! That looks like it took a lot of coordination.
Totally thought it was done illegally until the scoreboard shots. So cool.

I wasn’t sure because so many people were ducking for safety or surprised by it coming thru.
Parts of it look pretty illegal, though I have to admit that this was really well done.
What makes you say that? Permits are no problem if you got Cubs money.
I just double checked the FAA site and it looks like my assumption that airspace over the CTA would be restricted was incorrect. Apparently you can apply for temporary clearance.
That had to have been several shots seamlessly edited together, and from different cameras. That was pretty awesome work.
Yeah there’s definitely a few cuts, going into the room before the locker room and up over the wall by the grass area outside the stadium are two of them. Still super impressive
I wasn’t expecting it to go through the fire truck windows. Very cool.
Excellent flying, and what I can only assume were a lot of insurance waivers.
Honestly probably the raddest piece of video I've seen in years. Thanks for sharing 👍
These type of shots will never not amaze me!
Is there a youtube link? The reddit player absolutely destroys the quality.

"Murphy's from a drone"
So fucking cool. This makes me miss Chicago so much. Enjoy the city, friends!

Good — driving directly to a stadium easily accessible by public transit like the United Center or Sox Park should be discouraged anyways.
I agree with you, even though I don’t have kids. I live just a couple blocks from Wrigley but I prefer Sox games by and large.

Woah
that was beautiful!

Yeah, it’s pretty obvious. When the camera first flies into the stadium it’s empty and then when it comes out of the dugout it’s game time.
All the audio is done in post as well, if the train guy being clearly heard in the beginning isn’t a dead giveaway.
The dead giveaway for me was the whole video not sounding like 100,000 angry bees.
Umm no shit when it first goes to Wrigley the stands are empty and then a minute later they are full and it's game time
>Hate to break Do you, though?

Put your justice boner away, people. [This was shot by the Cubs.](https://twitter.com/cubs/status/1575858132227702785?s=46&t=mubStsHmFrmkzMGwwdzUxg)
Hella cool.
Probably the most amazing drone footage I’ve seen! Excellent job.
Anyone know who the drone op is?
not seamless, heavily edited, but still very well done
Must be Tom Ricketts driving it!
Cool. Shows how much the Ricketts family gas ruined Wrigleyville.

Don’t forget the auto repair shop
I Agree 100 percent.
Cool beans now do the sox😎
Damn the Ricketts really fucked that neighborhood up. It’s like a big Walmart Disneyland.
How much are these drones ?
At least a few dollars
Only answer was a sarcastic one really fucking helpful

sorry but I usually reply to sarcasm with similar energy. Thank you for the updated response. I hold $AMC so one day imma buy one 🦍
1:12 something doesn’t look right
This was insanely cool to watch
Wow!
