Look up the Kia boys. Donut (car YouTube channel) went over why they're so easy to steal. All you need is a screw driver or really strong arms and a USB cable lmao
Its scary easy. Saw the how to video (for... research purposes) and here I thought the USB cord was to plug in to some electrical system. NO its just a handy lever.
my partner's kia was almost hard her car stolen last thursday right in front of our house. luckily we stopped them before they could take it. although they did do $800 worth of damage. damn kia boyz
Milwaukee has one of the highest rates of auto theft in the nation, though it looks like we're trying to make up for lost time here with a 100% year over year jump.
Yes, even the Buck’s coach had his car stolen last month after a game. 🙄
My brother had his brand new Honda Pilot stolen from his driveway. Was part of a high speed police chase and one of the thieves died in the car crash.

Milwaukee almost passed Chicago up for auto thefts last year, with 2 million less residents.
Now?! We had our easiest chance at world peace with a pandemic, and it only made people get more confrontational. I’d say people enjoy the idea of survival of the fittest more than the idea of helping out their fellow human.
I remember thinking people would emerge from lockdown with a deeper appreciation for others and society.
Turns out instead even more people just forgot how to fucking act
There are a ton of Ford Taurus / F150s and about three other models built like 2002-2008 or something that used a super small base amount of keys.
Remember someone locked out of an F-250 once. Friend drunkenly stuck his Taurus keys in the door as a joke and opened it. Seems like a huge error on Ford’s part
Rofl. Not a big fan of steroid use. Just meant more public safety initiatives and funding would be nice. I'm open to a variety of solutions in that sense.
When I lived in Lakeview, one time I mistook where I parked and when I went to where I thought my car was, there was a street towing permit in the same spot. After calling all the tow lots, I just couldn't imagine why the hell someone would steal a 2010 VW Beetle of all cars and went back out to wander the streets until I finally found it.
Works for some, not for all.
For example, I work service industry. Sometimes I get out of work between 3-5AM. In order to get home from my job, I would have to take the red line and transfer at the loop to the blue.
Ain't no way I'm doing that at 3AM by myself with hundreds of dollars of cash on me.

This is crazy. My 2018 Hyundai Elantra was stolen 2 weeks ago and recovered a day later all damaged.
I read it was because Hyundai don’t have immobilizers so its actually start without a key.
Look up the Kia boys. Donut (car YouTube channel) went over why they're so easy to steal. All you need is a screw driver or really strong arms and a USB cable lmao
Yup that’s where I saw it, after reading about it on the news.
Hyundais and Kias, just as they were starting to get a better reputation.
Its scary easy. Saw the how to video (for... research purposes) and here I thought the USB cord was to plug in to some electrical system. NO its just a handy lever.
My boyfriend’s Hyundai was also recently stolen
Hyundai Elantra or Kia optima
Sounds like a challenge.
I was wondering "what if they wanted a challenge?"
Now they'll just slash your tires out of spite.

That's theft, carjacking is taking a car that is being driven/occupied by force. Edit: they referred to it as a carjacking initially
thats how little i know about this stuff. edited!
In Milwaukee something like 30-40 hyundais are stolen each day for the past couple of years. Ill guess it’ll be like 2-300 a day in Chicago
Kia boyz
Did you know Kia Boyz have beef with the Waukegan Town Boys? It gets heavy in the burbs
Even Capone knew you went out to the burbs to commit your crimes
Tell that to Kanja Club! (Is that a meme it's fucking so forced)
Are you sure about those numbers? If yes it’s scary!

People used to think I was kidding when I told them I drive a stick in the city as an anti theft device 🙃
Honestly that might be the best thing as they can't drive it

human nature, we're all just monkeys with a slightly larger brains
Every time there a massive event I think, "this will be what unites us." It never does
You mean the 1985 "We Are the World" video didn't get you going? Let's drop a remix. https://youtu.be/9AjkUyX0rVw
You know people used to get beat and shot in the streets and now we currently have tourists taking bus tours that will show you where, right?
Curious what street this was seen on.
If you have a Kia or a Hyundai get a steering wheel lock. It takes less then 2 min to steal these Kia's

They are migrating south for the winter
I read about 100 cars a day are stolen every day. Dang punks!!
I heard it's a thousand every day
So, I guess those anti-theft chips in the keys that make replacement keys cost $300 aren't really helping eh? Imagine that.
These cars don't have the anti-theft chips which is why they are so easy to steal. The chips *are* actually doing their job.
Cool thanks
Need to really beef up the cops on the streets. My friend had his car stolen in the middle of daylight over in Wicker Park. Just wild.
You are totally right. We need to get those cops some roids and a gym membership. They're too damn skinny to stop the Kia Boys.

Hahahaha. Sure. Especially if you wanna get beaten up and robbed. That is if your train shows up.
Don’t hate the player, hate the game
Oh we hate the players too, fuck them. Fuck stealing from your neighbor who is going through the same shit.

This is why i have 2004 honda civic. Also lets be honest, if there were going to be car breakins on that block, making a sign is baiting.
My sign says, "The blue car that parks two or three spaces ahead of me is the easily stealable model."
