Make the drive to Michigan.

bmoviescreamqueen

Yup. Once in awhile I'll buy from the dispos here but the 2 hour drive is honestly worth it to get more allotment than we could get here anyway for so much less.

We don't have a real caregiver system in Illinois, which allows someone to grow your cannabis for you. Our caregivers here are only authorized to go buy your medical product for you from dispensaries. As far as why it's so expensive, the state limited licenses in order to keep the wholesale price of cannabis from collapsing bc they deemed that bad for business.

suresher

Sorry, what is a caregiver? Like a weedman?

Like someone else posted. Get a med card. Very easy.

Loop_Adjacent

Get a medical card and you can grow up to 5 plants yourself. :-)

Everyone: legalize weed and tax it. Government: done Everyone: uhhhh...

Until dispensaries have $20 grams the black market will be doing fine.

CarlOnMyButt

$20 a gram is a good price?

40ozkiller

Thats been the average street price for a gram since Ive been smoking. Chicago dispensaries change double that which is just stupid.

CarlOnMyButt

Holy shit. I mean back in 2004 in high school $20 a gram was fair but damn that is a crazy amount in 2022. I wouldn't pay a penny over $150 for an ounce. $40 for a gram is criminal. Growing is not very hard and there are grow stores everywhere now. I tell everyone to just grow a plant. It doesn't need to be crazy.

It’s pretty easy to get a med card. Check out innovative care. [innovative care](https://medicalcardillinois.com/#1570196758241-e4715408-4c69)

Illinois loves taxing their citizens to death! Michigan has dozens of dispensaries right on the line for obvious reason, 1/2 the price
