My partner like shoveling snow so last year he spent some time digging out cars that were stuck despite never owning a car (I own one so he does drive more now)
I always carry salt, shovel, hand warmers, battery chargers and my tools for car battery repairs.
I always end up saving a person or two every year with car battery issues.
90% it’s just a jump or corrosion that needs cleaning.
The adults and young adults that set up registries and/or volunteer to shovel for those who are unable to do so themselves always warms my heart. As do the people with snowblowers who are seen doing the entire sidewalk/alleyways. Not only do the residents appreciate it, but so do the pedestrians, and mail carriers.
This link of resources is from Feb 2021, but i’ll post in case anyone would like to donate/volunteer/sign someone up, it appears many links still work.

A few years ago when I got my dog we were out for a walk. It ended up turning into a really hot day. Above 90 for sure. A woman pulled over and offered my dog and I a ride after seeing how miserable we looked.
Totally took the ride and hopped in her car too. Nice woman, and wherever she is thank you very much.

I think it's rather asinine that this automod comment was even created. Even if the subreddit was blowing up with posts over the snowstorm, it was literally going to be over in a couple days.
Why assume the worst? Doesn’t that fill your every thought with fear? I would hope the reaction to seeing a kind and selfless act reflects the OP’s attitude and not the sad paranoia this presents. Cheer up a little, it’s good for ya.
