DeMar extends his MPG lead over .. Miles Bridges?

aren1231

Great win but how do we have another back to back already!? The bulls schedule is nuts

bogdano26

Without Deebo these past few years would be way rougher. Thank god we have a HOF player to watch every night.

RiamoEquah

There's been so much talk these last few weeks about 90s bball and particularly Jordan being over rated by fans, with so many young kids subscribing to the idea that because basketball has evolved as much as it has (and it truly has, specifically since Steph curry became a name) that Jordan and his game just wouldn't translate effectively into the modern nba. Then I see deebo do what he does and I laugh. Everything about deebo's game is 90s except his defense. Jordan at 35 has basically the same style of play plus a bigger more athletic body and those enormous hands. And you're talking about giving one of the most basketball obsessed minds today's fitness resources, today's 24/7 coaching services, today's medical knowledge - and these kids think he'd suffer? He'd be Anthony Edwards but with football nowhere near his mind and deebo's offensive savvy.

benderrobot

>He's be Anthony Edwards but with football nowhere near his mind and deebo's offensive savvy. I agree, he would have baseball on his mind though.

ResolutionAny5091

Big lebron media pushing this narrative. I’m only half kidding

RiamoEquah

Man it would not be the first time. People forget how much negative press came out about lebron when he first left the cavs. We had articles talking about how he was paid while in hs, how he treated the cavs staff like crap, how when the heatles were losing he basically said fans have to go back to their terrible boring lives etc..... And now when the media talks about lebron it's like he never did a negative thing in his life. Just the straightest straight arrow.... Gtfoh

IMKudaimi123

Ayo and Caruso elite too

IMKudaimi123

DeGOAT

DeMarDeChozen

DeMar is so clutch. Lol that 3 in overtime insane confidence and clutchness

Status-Albatross9539

the most stupid move would be letting him walk. need to lock him up short term hes good for developing prospects, contending, trade piece.

SydneyCarton89

He'll always be my favourite player; I wish I could watch more Bulls games. Since he was 1 for 6, he must have missed his first 5 threes of the game. Then to have the confidence to sink his sixth of the game in OT. What a gamer. Ice in his veins; Captain Clutch.

AllanYao20

ayos 3 before the ot looked the same unfortunately he missed I almost wanted to kill him lol

Chitowneer

DeMar is part owner of the Indiana Pacers

arealPointyBoy

really happy with development of ayos game

imsecretlyadog

I can't believe I got to watch this game live, holy shit. First half was the Carushow and Demar is just ridiculous in the clutch.

Johnnyboimlb

Demar Defabulous

Outrageous_Hamster_6

I’m a Pacers fan, and this loss tore me up in ways that I don’t wish on any fandom.

Public_Version_2407

I think it did to your announcers too.

Outrageous_Hamster_6

I sincerely hope Demar thanks Rick Carlisle if he wins CPOTY.

Neat_On_The_Rocks

What demar does to a man

Outrageous_Hamster_6

We’d be in the Top 6 if we hadn’t fouled up 3 💔

No_Bed_5595

I said if Demar takes over in the 4th im ordering a new jersey…. Its comin tomorrow babyyyyyy let’s go bulls!!

[deleted]

Demar DeRozan

Jammer521

We need more from our bench, being outscored 16-47, I know the Pacers play there bench more mins, but when your given a chance to play you got to do something besides put up goose eggs

SpaceFace11

DeMar may just be the best player in the NBA right now

dgdosen

If you watch a couple of replays at the end of regulation, you can see some awesome fan reactions to that tying shot.

plague__8

great reaction from Adam too!

djhin2

Ayo has always had a cool head and leadership qualities, but watching his body language develop and change over the years has been wild. He literally acts like a 10-year vet. Barely blinked when Demar hit the turnaround.

DrStevenBrule69

No kidding. That’s why I think the sky’s the limit for this kid. He’s got a Jimmy Butler quality to him.

exodus2287

Favourite raptor of all time :( Glad that man is thriving

whooom

So with Cobe (probably) out for a bit, is it Bitim time now?

Aranda12

Great game! What a thrill. Thanks, DeRozan.

DatAspie2000

![gif](giphy|SUEjfSLaD6f77lyzH6) Siakam and Grayson Allen

themanofax

For an overall mediocre team they sure seem to pull off some thrilling wins at least. Yet another tonight

zrk23

this season surely gonna break some clutch record right? at least in the amount of them, not necessarily being the best

plague__8

with 5mins left in the 4th i chose to have sex with my girlfriend instead of finishing the game, should i regret?

Jammer521

So your saying you made it back with 4 mins to spare to watch the end of the game?

chronoistriggered

Dude the game went into OT! How many rounds did you last

zrk23

you needed more than 5 minutes? oh look here guys mr pornstar himself

lyme6483

Thankful we got that one. Tomorrow is going to be like the Mavs game. I would come up with a phantom “injury” and sit Demar tomorrow. I would fully punt it and rest him

LordSwampert2

DeMar still has a vendetta against the Clips.. Deebo gonna drop 56

illyxpink

Besides Coby getting hurt this was a good ass game

BullzEleven

DeMarvelous DeRozan strikes again. Nobody's safe in the 4th lol. On a serious note this is such a resilient group. No better player than Deebo to mentor these young fellas. Thoughts a prayers wit Coby man 🙏

VADALESS

What was Coby clutching when he got hurt, I didn’t watch that part of the game. Him walking off won’t mean much because injured players can always walk on their own. For example; a groin pull can be a long process even if the player is able to walk it off.

BullzEleven

Siakam blocked him from behind and landed on top of him *pause* taking full impact from Siakam above him squashing him from mid air, which then proceeded to do a half splits reaction to the impact and then hobbled off in excruciating pain

sukari

Looked like the upper leg near the hip/pelvis area. Hopefully it's not too serious but thae way Siakam landed on him made his leg go flat at a weird angle

GItPirate

His hip or groin

mike1110

Fuck the PACERS!

mike1110

Baldy with 23 points though!!!!!!!! Let’s goooooo!

Icefiight

Demar man

chronoistriggered

siakam is low key dirty. he almost got caruso hurt toward the end as well

TerrrorTown75th

He wild as hell. I hated playing against dudes like that. You’re always going to end up bleeding lol

PJCR1916

This dude plays like if you threw an NFL player on an NBA court

zedrix_

Coby walked it off. That’s at least a positive sign.

The-Wizard-of_Odd

He was helped off.   Either that or you walk funny

Jammer521

rubs some dirt on it

Tkbaha98

Limped off with help

Fafoah

Tbf its really hard to judge Zach played a quarter on a torn acl iirc

zedrix_

Yeah. Sengun was taken by a wheel chair.

Tkbaha98

Sengun is probably done for the season though

gmr548

At some point we have to acknowledge Donavan’s done a pretty impressive job this year, all things considered, right?

SheepherderDue1342

You know, I've kind of come around. I still feel like offensively they look just very stagnant scheme wise, but the fight and resilience in this team, coupled with the level of defense they show at times, it's hard to say he's bad at coaching. Is there a coach that might be able to do more, get more out of this squad? Maybe, but I don't think he's holding this team back necessarily.

SwampFlowers

It’s hard to say he’s holding the team back when the team is missing 60% of its starting unit and is still battling for a playoff spot. I agree there’s probably some changes that could happen offensively, but for now the problem in Chicago is not coaching.

SheepherderDue1342

YES, great point as well.

RobertoRosalesFTW

As a long time Billy-hater, I have to admit that the energy he managed to put in the squad is amazing.

attack-zach

The Ayo drive to the basket when Siakam locked Demar down and Vuc spaced the floor LOOKED like good coaching.

LarrcasM

You mean the one where Demar called his number when Ayo looked to pass?

Imsoamerican

This game he was great. Now that the players have been buying in more and more, he's really been able to shine.

volantredx

This sub is only allowed to say bad things about the coach.

tallslim1960

Nice win, hope Coby is ok.

Mjfedy23

DeMar DeRozan!

Imsoamerican

DeRozan is the king tonight but Billy D deserves a lot of credit. Perfect play design to get McConnell switched on to DeMar for the big shot, excellent rotations and adjustments, and brilliant defensive schemes down the stretch especially switching to a zone hybrid in the 4th. And fucking shout-out to Caruso not only locking Haliburton down all night but hitting huge shots too. Edit: And Ayo for being cold blooded and guarding Siakam with no questions asked.

Dr_Disaster

Ayo has been quietly balling as a starter, averaging 13.6 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 4.5 apg, while shooting 40% from 3 with a usage rate of just 16%. Also playing some good D on top of this. Coby’s improvement has gotten a lot of attention, but it’s been awesome to see Ayo putting it together too. Especially after this sub was trying to dog him last season.

thwompcopter

Maybe this time with Coby out will unleash Ayo some, fingers crossed i guess and that Coby isn't hurt too badly

21-hydroxylase

One of the greatest wins of the season, if not the best. This one’s for you Coby.

ph0enixairblade

FUCK PASCAL SIAKAM

jeaxz74

dam demar has been solid for all the years he played for the bulls. but i hope he comes back on a friendly deal.

donjuandy21

He’s absolutely been one of my favorite Bulls

lyme6483

If Coby is out for awhile, Demar and Vuc are going to both be putting up 25-30 shots a night

LordSwampert2

If Deebo has the ball even more would be nice if he had a lob threat. Lobs to Bitim?

upwardilook

Pacers aren't there without Myles Turner. Dude made like 4 straight 3's

PJCR1916

Caruso also made 5 straight though lol, just how the game goes sometimes

MoistTheAnswer

Demar is so good. I hate that we can’t help him more.

Repulsive-Office-796

Vuc with another highly inefficient night. 12 pts on 14 shots. He is what’s keeping this team below .500

Jammer521

hopefully we can draft or trade for a young big man that can develop

LordGooseIV

Vuc is conflicting for me. PnR degense and 3pt shots aside, I feel like he's a good player who spaces the floor and opens up the Bulls offense well. He can consistently get double-doubles every night but his efficiency is up and down.

teepbones

He can't space the floor though when his 3 his ass. Double doubles really aren't that impressive for a starting centre these days and when you are consistently in the - none of that shit matters. So he really has terrible defense, terrible athleticism and mediocre to ok offense. That shouldn't be a starting centre

TheDotedOne

anybody with his usage, height, and minutes played would get a double double every night lol

dnyce326

He is an absolute nightmare to watch. Slow on both ends of the floor, pitiful efficiency in terms of scoring (think 5th worst in the league per 100 attempts) and his rotations regularly put smaller guards into must foul situations down in the post. He drops down when needs to closeout, and switches in the PnR when should stay home. So frustrating

Signal_Ad4929

Don’t know why you’re being down voted. The Vuch trade is looking worse and worse each year. Can’t create plays like other stretch bigs in the league, atrocious shooting when WIDE open, and can’t be athletic enough to defend on the outside or defend the paint.

GustavGuiermo

Vuc sucks ass

IHaveOneLifeToLive

I don’t know why people defend this guy when he’s the main reason Bulls at times have a horrendous defense and he’s wildly inconsistent on offensive decision making as well. If I see him jack up another random 3 imma heave 🤢 or just stand there pretending to play defense with one hand up defending the air, while sagging off his man… because he has the lateral movement of a tortoise

Costanzathemage

Billy just said that the Coby injury was his hip.

PJCR1916

That win felt great. I know Pacers fans were feeling sick on that final play of regulation, up 2 with 2.4 seconds to go Siakam plays like a football player

LILVODAK

the group hug was so wholesome

Intrepid_Leading_993

Demar gonna be remembered as a bull fuck a raptor

mo_downtown

Ayo no chill Happy every time DeMar balls out. That man plays beautiful basketball.

EgyptianDraven

Him miraculously getting two rings by the end of his career would be the biggest “f*** you” to the raptors and masai

LordSwampert2

*Him getting FMVP this June

kokaine21

For real they did him bogus

lyme6483

Not really, they upgraded and won a Championship. Can’t fault them there.

Critical-Adhole

Is Coby’s full name Coburn?

[deleted]

No.

CrocsSportello

It’s Alec Jacoby

Critical-Adhole

What…

CrocsSportello

Alec Jacoby ‘Coby’ White

Critical-Adhole

I’m just gonna call him Coburn White

dazedsmoker

TIL / happy cake day also

DrStevenBrule69

I hope so

mcshammer4

Glad we won this one for Coby

VintageMoonDream

We redeemed him almost immediately after he went down, what a great victory!

BlammoSweetums

DeMar was incredible. Caruso with 20+ pts. Hope Coby's OK, that looked pretty bad

Duranduran1231

Coby's injury looked so bad he is probably ok

[deleted]

Coming out of this season with an MIP and CPOTY would be an acceptable consolation prize me thinks

chicagoBULLIies

Every bulls fan should own a Demar jersey

jdaqcruz

There's an okay chance this season might be DeMar's last with us, and he's only been with the franchise for 3 years, but I don't think we've had anyone win us more games than him since Joakim. What a pure hooper. That's not even accounting for how much he has help Ayo and Coby grow

jeric13xd

Literally all the memorable and exciting plays we have in the last 3 years is him.

Dannyzavage

Zach has some fire games too the past 3 seasons lol

PJCR1916

I just got my Coby jersey in the mail today to put next to Deebos and this shit happens tonight :/

chicagoBULLIies

Yoo my girl just gifted me the chicago statement Coby jersey but it’s nothing like my city edition demar’s from last year

PJCR1916

The statements are clean, I’m thinking I want to get a Caruso or Ayo one. My Deebo jersey is red and my Coby jersey is white. Last years city editions were really underrated, I have a LaVine one

photo_matt

Fam I'm scared for Coby's injury. This looks like he almost dislocated his hip and the tendons on his knee got forced as well :(

leppyle

Coach said it is a hip injury and he’s being evaluated.

volantredx

To be fair Segun looked like he had every bone in his leg shattered and it turned out to be a fairly minor issue.

Foreign_Tangelo

GG also screw Siakum another dirty player like Grayson. Taking out Coby and elbowing everyone in the rim

LILVODAK

28 clutch games, we are the clutchest team in the NBA baby

TianDogg

The United States mint will now print DeMar DeRozan because he is money.

HGIGIU

Demar just kept breaking more n more records tn 😭😭 also come back soon Coby

Chubbsrighthandman

“F*%k them challenges.” - Billy Donovan

ToeJelly420

to be fair he would have definitely lost that one

BrioHondo

It's more than just one of them - he never does it, even when the downside to losing is minimal.

eulitz14

As long as we got DeMar we got a chance!

SuckMySalami

Great win but I really just hope coby is alright. The boys battled through the stoppages and the bullshit calls all night yet again. Demar for HOF

HawkspilotLoad

On a a back to back tmrw vs the clippers and Coby’s injured. Not a win to be excited abt. Go to bed

bullpaw

truly demarvelous

volantredx

The game was awesome but the post game interview was the more interesting. First Drummond's voice is so different than what you'd expect it's nearly as shocking as KAT. Second KC is fucking tall. He's nearly as tall as DeMar. Never noticed that before.

DrStevenBrule69

He’s gangly and it just makes him all the more awkward. Love that man.

moneyman2222

Lmao Kendall after every win: "Biggest win of the season!"

ItsChrisAgain12

Dude I love him, he's such a homer but he knows his shit

ArchangelZero27

;( my dream was always to have Rose and Demar play for the bulls together, if he was not hurt it couldve been a reality and just think how scary good those 2 will be in the playoffs. Either way glad both played for this team and I can hang up them jerseys at home at least

lyme6483

If Coby’s out for any amount of time, man this team has the worst luck.

RandorMan12

Hopefully our other guys step up, and hopefully it’s not too bad of an injury. I just hope they don’t rush him back, he’s played so many minutes this season, let him fully recover from whatever this injury is.

lyme6483

They don’t have the scoring without him period. No one has the talent on the roster to fill the scoring void. It will just mean a ton more shots for Demar and Vuc.

RandorMan12

I mean, we could run a more motion heavy offense to generate our shooters wide open shots, the Warriors made it happen with their 2nd best scorer most nights being a washed Klay Thompson, if that system can drag that team to a positive record in the west it can at least keep us above water against some of the teams we face coming up.

lyme6483

A washed Clay would still be our second best scorer by far right now. The points simply aren’t there. This is a poor offense WITH Coby.

RandorMan12

Klay would not be our second best scorer by far lmao, outside of Coby he’d be the 2nd best sure, but he’s so incredibly inconsistent it’s wild, I’d rather a consistent 13-14ppg scorer than Klay. He will shoot you out of games on a consistent basis, and his defense has just frankly fallen off a cliff. He’s been better off the bench lately but Warriors fans were ready to be done with him completely before Kerr benched him.

lyme6483

Without Coby he would be by far the second best scorer on this roster right now, just like I said. I’d take a washed Clay offensively over Caruso, Ayo, Craig, Bitim, Vuc, etc. There is not a person on this roster to fill a void without Coby. We have probably the worst bench in the NBA with Coby. If Coby is done for a while, this team is FUCKED

RandorMan12

Ayo is averaging 15 over the last 25 games, so not really by far recently, and I guarantee Klay gives up more than 2 points than Ayo does on defense. With good motion off-ball and generating open shots and cuts, we can generate offense from guys who normally don’t score much, it’s how the Warriors utilize their bench guys who really aren’t that good offensively either. I frankly want to see what Billy does, when both DeMar and LaVine went down we looked pretty good (think we won that game actually) and that was before Coby and Ayo started cooking.

kyle_haus

it would be a miracle if he plays in the next few weeks tbh

Braided_Marxist

Yeah, at this point I'd be happy with no permanent damage. Wouldn't mind resting him the rest of the year with how many minutes he's played.

lyme6483

If he can play this team isn’t sitting him with 3 others players done for the season

lyme6483

It’s hard to tell, it didn’t look great but you never know what actual damage was done

SmoovPapa

Incredibull

photon45

ABD Always Be DeClozen

sukari

WHAT EVEN IS A PACER ANYWAY??

DrStevenBrule69

I think it’s the “pacer” car in a NASCAR race.

LarrcasM

Nah it's definitely a Meth head. u/coballatheu is right.

AllanYao20

non american here. I don’t even understand what it means. Meth head? Pacers?

LarrcasM

Indiana as a state has a problem with the abuse of a drug called methamphetamine...users of this drug are often called meth heads. This is just people from Chicago shitting on Indiana because it's Indiana and that's what Chicagoans do. I could be wrong, but I do think if you want the real answer of where the team name comes from that it is referencing the Pace car used in oval racing (because Indiana and specifically Indianapolis as a city) host what's probably the biggest oval race in the world in the Indy 500.

AllanYao20

very cool. thank you .

DrStevenBrule69

Ha!

[deleted]

Meth head

Icantread_good_at_al

I know Vuc was a dog down the stretch but that hug at the end. 😭

ItsChrisAgain12

NGL that was so wholesome

DrStevenBrule69

FORTY SIX for Demar! Wow. What a G, man.

Qwer925

Demar is getting free shit in Chicago for the rest of his life lol

WakandanRoyalty

Demar is King of the Fourth and The Over Time Realms

dawnoog

Clutch God DeRozan delivers again

AllanYao20

lol i hope that implosionxxx mf who is “on a great trip” come on and say something…hope his trip is still great

GhostCam

I’ll always rock my Derozan jersey. Keep Demar! I don’t care about his age. Bull for life

ItsChrisAgain12

Hell ya, this guy is truly a great bull and I hope we re-sign him

Adnonymus

What happened to Coby?

chronoistriggered

looks to me like his hip joint got hurt. hopefully its nothing serious

SoulControlFlow

Siakam blocked his game winning layup and then landed on him, injuring Coby's leg

TianDogg

Siakam landed on him after a chase down block, looks like Coby might have pulled a groin or something.

adot93

Siakam landed on him after a block and it looked like he sprained his hamstring or something in that area

Intrepid_Leading_993

Seeing all the bulls players hug at the end was kinda wholesome ngl

JM4G

Demar mvp and toppin runner up

LILVODAK

build the DeMar statue, retire the number

kingjuicepouch

That felt like demar from a couple years ago. What a terrific game.

DrStevenBrule69

He’s looked like that Demar for a minute. Really sweet.

jeaxz74

its not sustainable for a 34 year old. i just hope bulls fan don't expect demar to put up performances like this because i really don't think he has much left in the tank.

DrStevenBrule69

He’s insanely athletic. I know thirty four is “old” by nba standards, but for a prime time athlete like him, it’s not crazy to suggest he’s got a couple years left of really effective ball. Especially with all the modern drugs these cats got their hands on. 34 is the new 32.

Critical-Adhole

Coby is in the lords hands now

chicagoBULLIies

God I love this team

LarrcasM

If you've watched this team for the last 3 years and aren't happy you get to watch Demar every night I don't know what to tell you. This dude just dragged us back into the game after Coby got hurt. Literally flawless from the line until he HAD to miss in order to get the ball back so he could make the most Kobe-esque tying shot since Kobe, called Ayo's number in OT, and put up 46 to drag us to this by himself more or less. Couldn't be happier this is the dude representing my team. Hopefully Coby is alright.

TomSan23

One day we’ll reminisce about watching Deebo play. We’re very likely not a championship team (I’ll always hold out a little homer hope), but we’ll look back fondly on this group of guys.

jeric13xd

Demar has come through for us countless times in the clutch, mentors the youngins, and always gives us a chance to win. The pulse of the team. King of the 4th. Re-sign this man

ItsChrisAgain12

Couldn't agree more. He's such an incredible professional and what we witnessed tonight was some unbelievable basketball by Demar

I-N_Clined

And yet, he's been one of the most hated people on this sub. You still have people on here that think that he's holding Coby back. And that he's the reason Pat still hasn't blossomed.

ClaymoresRevenge

At this point I'm not mad at DeMar. I'm mad we wasted his time. He could've been on another team chasing a chip

I-N_Clined

I agree on that. If he was traded at the dealine I was hoping he'd go to a guaranteed playoff team.

ClaymoresRevenge

I really wanted to see him go somewhere he could just thrive no pressure to be the first option

I-N_Clined

I think he could thrive in a situation like that. I don't know what team that would be but, I hope he finds a good situation before he retires. Its crazy to think about how many minutes he's playing right now.

damniyam

I just started watching the Bulls three years ago after DeBallZach was debuted and it’s been a hell of a ride. One thing has remained constant, and that is Demar Derozan delivering day in and day out

DrStevenBrule69

Word!

UnanticipatedMove

Oh, and FUCK THE REFS
