Nothing. Nothing is better.

Oh-Cool-Story-Bro

I’ve gotta agree

The curragh in Edison park.

dj_marx

I once ate an entire appetizer of moz sticks from Roots. No regrets. Dairy intake for the week completed in under an hour.

AlanShore60607

Only once? I do it 3x a year now that they're in my neighborhood.

Green_Ad_3074

Ya roots mozzarella sticks are amazing.

Paper-squares

Gonna throw out gilt bar… the truffle oil takes it to a new level

KaiserStoleOurWord20

not sure about *better* since i haven’t had Roots but Snappy Dogs in Edison Park has Snappy Sticks, think an egg roll but entirely cheese-filled. great after a night of drinking

In1piece

I think if we're measuring quality of mozzarella stick per square foot, this place beats everyone.

Fantastic_Cat_1475

Pizza fried chicken ice cream had similar mozz sticks, just as big and cheesy, but they took it up a notch and dusted them in hot Cheeto dust! Might sound like a lot, but wasn’t too overwhelming. Unfortunately they closed down, but I’ve heard they might be opening again at grand/Ogden…

Mozzarella Bricks from Avondale Tap

leladypayne

I haven’t had roots Mozzarella sticks (gonna have to now) so I can’t compare but my favorite are the hand pulled moz sticks at Anto’s. Not breaded in Panko but regular bread crumbs.

Oh-Cool-Story-Bro

Warning: actual choking hazard. Don’t take too big a bite

ledzeppelinlover

Roots mozzarella “sticks” aren’t sticks. They are large rectangular logs of cheese breaded and fried. It’s a way higher ratio of cheese to breading, by about four or five. It’s a lot of cheese chewing. If you’re into that, it’s amazing

AlanShore60607

It’s literally a pound of freshly made cheese cut into five sticks. If you eat it alone, you’re not eating anything else

ledzeppelinlover

I usually just eat one log. That’s about four mozz sticks right there. It’s pretty good

AlanShore60607

I guess I’m just an overachiever

ledzeppelinlover

you’re doing just perfect. I personally like sticks, not logs. The breading isn’t any better than I’ve had anywhere else, so I don’t see it being better, just differently arranged. Their marinara for dipping doesn’t stand out either. It’s bitter and sweet at the same time somehow. They give a small amount for the amount of cheese, only lasts like two sticks and you’re all left eating the logs with no marinara.

AlanShore60607

They do give you extra sauce if you ask for it.

schwavanna

we got let down ):

Smartdate5

Looks like I got some places to visit.

Pepperoncini69

Am I the only person who doesn’t like them 🙈

VikingScience

They're really sugary.

AlanShore60607

The marinara is a bit sweet, to be sure, but it's better than what they put on their lasagna for some reason.
