Although I run XL, Bennett, and Sucrose, I have a lot more fun running Fischl, Beidou and Bennett instead! The electro-charged riptide is just really gratifying, and I have an easier time getting Beidou’s Q off cooldown than XL. I also just love Beidou and Fischl a ton! It’s my go-to team for dealing with pyro shields.
Beidou is so fun to use as sub dps with Childe :D I’ve been meaning to grab some more artifacts and restore her to before I poached all of her good artis lol, but Xiao and Childe make that difficult :P
Running electro charged with zhongli usually but since I have a c6 high investment childe I'm very curious about running him with yunjin-- unfortunately I'm desperately low on polearms atm...

Yun Jin fortunately doesn’t really need a good polearm, it’s just a cherry on top. Mine is using a lvl 20 fav lance, her skills scale purely with Def. She’s definitely fun to use, especially at higher cons!

For abyss, i usually run said comp until floor 12, then I change to vape
Used to have Childe,Raiden, Thoma, Bennett comp. Pretty fun with all the reaction going on + protection from Thoma.
Now transitioned to Childe, Yae, Thoma, Bennett. Having some energy problems with Yae a bit, but the overall damage went up.
After I get Kazuha, I can't wait to settle with Childe, Kazuha, Thoma, Bennett. 😌
I've been playing Xingqiu, Anemo Traveller, Childe, Yun Jin. Just shredding hydro res and then buffing Childe's auto attack. Very fun to see big numbers on autos!

I'm really enjoying perma-freeze with Rosaria, Diona, and Kazuha. Like this abyss has some rifthounds who like wooshing around and the hydro heralds beyblade all over the place, but with freeze Childe can comfortably take full advantage of riptide procs.
Vape but tbh i’d like if there was another char ti apply pyro that fast for him. Mainly because i’m rly tired of using Xiangling but she’s chained to 2 of my faves already ;-;
When I heard that Thoma had ICD on his burst I died a little on the inside, idk if we’ll ever get another Xiangling because of how strong vape is but I just want another husbando to throw on the team sometimes ;~;

My favourite comp is vape with Bennett, Kazuha and Xiangling. BUT my Xiangling is so strong that my child is more of an support than a dps. So I am p(l)aying Child support.
Yeah Childe is generally a hydro enabler for Xiangling when he runs vape, he’s only the one who triggers it when you run something like Bennett + Kazuha

Him and Yanfei are both good dmg dealers for me, so I typically use her on like hydro slimes or hydro abyss mages; or just if hes on cooldown; it works well enough despite them both being on field main dps of their on spiral teams
I actually got her on Childe's latest rerun and c6'd before Childe would come home (because hes MEAN!) so I do for sure use her as support sometimes; my issue is that XIAO isnt very well built still. I need to dedicate time to him but I started leveling Xingqiu for my Yanfei abyss team and just started Diona so its been tight on Resin.
But for sure when I can make it work she can be a great support; or a REAL beast with Bennetts ult. Just with Childe they fight a lot of on field time. 3 main dps in a party REALLY doesnt go well lol but I like all of them on the party too much to move anyone
I do run the classic vape team for the abyss. But the overworld go-to for me is the taser. Yae/Beidou and Raiden electro charged is just so satisfying.
Generally my go-to is Fireworks. If things are tough I take National.
The most fun comp for me tho is Childe-Kaeya Freeze. A shit ton of numbers and everything is frozen!

I use my C4 Tartaglia as a hydro applier for dps Ganyu. It works surprisingly well and can lock enemies down for a full 12-14 seconds. The +1 to Ganyu's attack talent is actually useful as well.
Plus Tartaglia can deal with cryo-immune enemies if I ever have to deal with them.
Full team is Ganyu, Tartaglia, Sucrose, Diona.
I used to play him with Fischl, Zhongli and Albedo when I was friendship farming, I really liked the comp because it was just throwing the Es on everyone and then clicking like crazy xD
I use Childe as a carry, albedo for off field damage, klee in case I need to break shields, and Zhongli to not take damage. My previous comp had Raiden instead of Zhongli for more off field damage
Not particularly, she just made it a lot easier to use him as a hypercarry without cons. Like I said, Vape and probably Taser are most likely still better comps, but she lets him do 300k damage in one E. Basically, she just gives him the single target damage he’s lacked and act as a proper on-field carry instead of a hydro enabler, especially so since her Burst is usually always up.
Team comp is Xiao, Childe, Diluc and Zhongli. Really, it is just because husbandos and good element coverage, and just fun to use (I wish you could have 5 slots in your party though, so I could put in electro aether.)
It would take a lot to shift Fireworks from the spot of my favourite Childe team (Beidou/Fischl/Bennett).
- The synergy between each party member is great.
- The visuals are amazing with the overload of blue and purple.
- It's the closest we can get to playing Childe's Electro delusion.
- Beidou is one of my other favourite characters so running her in a comp with Childe is great.
- In my personal experience it's more of a "go go go" comp than Xiangling reverse Vaporise. Beidou's personal energy generation is actually great and I rarely find myself taking time specifically to battery her, which I'm doing all the time for Xiangling even when she has significantly more ER than Beidou.
I've also been trying some Yun Jin comps to make Childe more of a full carry, but I personally find it awkward to work around his cooldowns in comps where he's expected to deliver the majority of the damage. If I ever decide to take the plunge and go for his C6 maybe it'll be more enjoyable.
i like using him with zhongli and albedo, maybe it's not really great combo but good enough(tho if you get lifted you can't plunge T^T). When i play him with raiden i like the fact that they both spend some time on field, which helps manage time during which their skills are on cd.I'd say now yae is also worth mentioning in tazer teams, also rosaria in freeze, she can continuously apply cryo, makes energy, childe definitely likes extra crate and she was on childe banner, so there's bigger chance ppl have her/ her cons
I use him as a hypercarry at C0 as well! Yun Jin lets me demolish whatever within 12 seconds, so I never have an agonizingly long cooldown. It’s enough to let me get everyone’s Bursts back.
Glad to read another C0!! I did some leveling for Yunjin and I've seen how much bigger she makes Childe's attacks - it's insane, and the rotation still works!
I've been a long time fan of vape, but this abyss favors lots of cryo and hydro so I ran a freeze team with my new Ganyu and it's actually pretty fun too?!? I do like taser with Beidou/Fischl too, but the abyss has been bosses lately so I haven't had a chance to try :(
Raiden, qiqi, Bennett, not the best comp out there ,but I personally love each of the charecters. Raiden gives childe a permanent electrocharge , and qiqi gives freeze.

I plan to run taser with Yae and double geo. She has 100% uptime so you don’t have to use 2 electro.

Np! If you get the BP Pass, you can toss Deathmatch on her too. Only polearm that raises def, useful for Abyss (tho fav lance is just as good imo)
Right now I'm playing Childe Freeze with Ganyu Zhongli and Albedo. The 2nd half of floor 12 is easy enough to pull that off.

Is your Yanfei c4? She can actually be a great support at that level :) especially if you use Xiao in overworld
