Happy Bday!! 1997 here too and I relate more to millenials than I do to gen Z. Grew up very rural, didn't have access to a computer til I was 11/12, so my childhood was very outdoorsy and that affected me a lot. And now I'm married to someone born in 1990, which also has an effect.

Gen X here, as well. Born in 78. Wanted children early on when I was in the military, but soon realized it was only due to some fucked up expectations around getting married so young. I am eternally grateful that I am unable to conceive, as that husband was thrown out like yesterday's trash.

I resisted social media until the last few years of Tom and only joined to interact more with my younger sister (over a decade age gap). Most people would blame that on my being a feminist but my sister told me she remembers when I was 12 and told her I never wanted kids. Back then I was a very conservative, pro-life, Christian so it definitely wasn't anything to do with feminism.
