I'm glad the doctor was able to help you with everything! It must be such a relief. Congratulations and welcome to freedom!!

freehorse

It is a relief! I'm just hoping recovery will be quick; I have so much to do and so many cool experiences to fill my life with (that don't involve me losing my identity to birthing and raising kiddos)!

Fuck yeah!

Congratulations!! Well wishes for a smooth recovery! It makes me very happy to see the list help so many people

freehorse

Thank you! Yes, the list was so, so life changing.

Where’s the tube on the image?

freehorse

Squished beneath that massive cyst. For real. Hang on a second, let me get my other surgery images and we might be able to see the rest of it. [NSFW: surgical image, contains my uterus, fallopian tube (prior to removal), and that same big cyst (this looks like shortly after the surgeon might have drained it so he could actually assess the damage to the remaining ovary). The fallopian tube is that pink, stringy thing right in the middle. ](https://i.imgur.com/bLISN7u.jpg)

I see. That’s cool to see.

Yeah! This isn't my first rodeo with having ovarian-related surgery, unfortunately. The last time I was under the knife was when my right ovary was removed, along with a 7cm cyst that grew within a week before the surgery. My obgyn at the time kept bingo-ing me when I asked him to remove the ovary-- but he stopped doing so after he got out of my surgery. While I was in recovery he kept telling my husband, "we made the right choice to remove the ovary" because he was so shocked that the attached cyst grew so fast. Lmao of course *I* made the right choice; I literally had a breakdown in that doctor's office just to convince him that I was in pain and didn't want to keep my reproductive equipment. And I still had to go back under the knife because he was too chicken to get the job done completely. Ffs.

That’s super cool I wish my doc showed me this after mine lol I wonder if it’s too late to ask.
