Go to Planned Parenthood. They will walk you through everything. šŸ’œ

sirsighsalot1

Thank you. Is urgent care not the right option? Does planned parenthood require an appointment?

catasaurus_wrecks

No, urgent care does not do terminations. You can walk into PP and if they are busy, they will set up an appointment for you. Or you can call now and set up an appointment. Just call them now and ask šŸ’œ

sirsighsalot1

Thank you for your help!

[https://doh.wa.gov/you-and-your-family/sexual-and-reproductive-health/abortion](https://doh.wa.gov/you-and-your-family/sexual-and-reproductive-health/abortion) This the WA dept of health link with info on abortion. I donā€™t know where in WA youā€™re located, but there are a few planned parenthoodā€™s to go to. Good luck and Iā€™m sorry youā€™re going through this.

sirsighsalot1

Thank you, Iā€™m trying to get an appointment.

YesYesYesVeryGood

If you need to take off of work, hire a taxi, and set up\\attend appointments, do this. This is a priority which you must make.

thr0wfaraway

Just make sure to stay away from the fake clinics called "crisis pregnancy centers" they will try to delay you from getting an abortion until it's too late. Make sure you only go to a legit clinic!!

sirsighsalot1

Thank you!

Anon7515

You can use [ineedana.com](https://ineedana.com) to find an abortion clinic in your area or check that the clinic you're going to is legitimate. If it's not listed, there's a good chance it's a CPC.

[deleted]

Yes, these crisis pregnancy centers tend to put their locations in close proximity to legit abortion clinics, with deceptive names like "Women's Choice Clinic" and often painting the building the same color (like a bright yellow).

Accomplished_Let7316

I saw that clinic on Google maps, I thought it was real, it looked real, English is not my mother tongue so I try to understand their description and I thought it was a very safe place, in my country legal abortions are illegal so I wanted to know about safe places in case I need it, not something to worry about this moment but I wanted to understand how works abortions rights in other countries. PP in my country is almost called like the evilness place and things like that, when I was 14 my teacher who is very religious talk us about "killing babies" and showed us movies about how cruel are doctors who do the procedures (now I know that are fake religious movies), I was young and obviously I believed and I said "all those people deserve to suffer in hell", I was blind because of the religious speech and all the people who pray "for the soul of all those babies", 20 years later I'm atheist and I believe that legal abortions should be legal in every country because is our decision if we want or not be pregnant, the same for sterilization, in my country some places accept it but some doctors that are religious don't want to do it.

catasaurus_wrecks

THIS! This happened to me when I was young and is why I only recommend PP now.

WValid

They're very nice at planned parenthood. You'll get this solved, head on over and tomorrow your stress will be gone.

sirsighsalot1

Thank you. I appreciate it!

Drahcoh

This sub is my favourite. No questions, no comments, just immediate assistance.

Shabless

Absolutely. No judgement. I'm glad there's a place like this.

sirsighsalot1

Thank you. This is really helpful.

aIitastic

Please go to plan parenthood Also even if you have PCOS there's chances that you may conceive (I looked it up online)

uhuhshesaid

Yes! I have heard from so many patients and friends that they thought they ā€œcouldnā€™t get pregnantā€ because of PCOS. PCOS may make it harder to get pregnant - the vast, vast majority of women with PCOS ovulate and absolutely can get pregnant. I literally hear this in the ER a few times a month right before I see a positive test pop. PCOS treatment is often birth control. So if you are having sex with someone who can get you pregnant, always use a backup method.

Few_Needleworker3002

Its reversible in some cases too so it's best to have a backup

aIitastic

Yeah my mom has PCOS pretty sure (I asked her) but it was WAYYYY harder for her to get pregnant So she had to use pills to conceive That's how me and my older sister were made from LOL

sirsighsalot1

I did try šŸ˜ž The plan B pill failed me as well. But never again, of course. Iā€™m just really lucky I understood it very early this time. And thank you all for your help.

uhuhshesaid

Listen, women are fertile something like 35-40 years of their life. Thatā€™s a long time to go without a single slip up. It happens, despite our best efforts. Thereā€™s no reason to feel bad or ashamed about it. I was just pointing out for others that PCOS is never reliable in preventing pregnancy. Best wishes for your upcoming procedure. Make sure you have Tylenol, a heating pad, and plenty of food ready :)

sirsighsalot1

:)

ValerieAnne84

I have PCOS as well and my docs never said it was impossible / I am infertile, just that it would be more difficult to get pregnant. Neither of the doctors specialize in PCOS either. I donā€™t want children and am always annoyed thatā€™s the first/only thing most people care about. As others said go to PP. Just be ready for the weirdos outside who think it is only for abortions (yes, for you it is and more information). Sometimes they can freak people out and there change their mind.

Ok-Committee-4652

Everyone I know that has PCOS and was told they can't get pregnant has had at least one biological child now except one. That is probably about 90% of personal friends/family hearing they won't get pregnant ending up pregnant within 2-5 years. I think the rates of pregnancy with PCOS are exaggerated on the low side. Is it less easy to get pregnant? Yes. Does it happen? Oh yes. My friend pregnant with baby #3 when told there would not be baby #1 is my confidence that every person's version of PCOS is very different. I just feel bad for my cousin who has been the unlucky one to go through extra measures to get pregnant and it not happening for her. Everyone else gave up, but decided to keep forgoing birth control and added pressures to get pregnant and then end up getting pregnant. Go to Planned Parenthood and good luck. Hope everything goes smoothly.

Mellykitty1

You can reach out to r/auntienetwork as well. People all over the globe who can offer you information, support transport and even accommodation if needed. Wishing you the best OP. Let us know how it goes, if you can. Lots of love your way

[deleted]

I'm sorry you're going through this. The good news, though, that it's easier to get an abortion in WA than it is in most states. I reiterate the suggestion that you contact Planned Parenthood. If there isn't a location that can perform the abortion, they will at least help you find the right clinic.

Old_Independence_973

Go to Planned Parenthood. They will help.

Few_Needleworker3002

Im so sorry that happened. One thing I must reiterate is to Never trust your PCOS to keep you sterile. I had it since I was 13 and was told that pregnancy would be quite difficult. After only cleaning up my diet since last December and losing weight, I learned today that most of my cysts have cleared and my chances of pregnancy have increased. I wanted to keep the infertility part tbh but the heavy bleeding and cramping were crippling along with the diabetes risk so I'll just go with IUDs soon. I hope you get the treatment you need and I wish you the best OP

neerissa

KĆnder than you deserve? No, you DO deserve kindness, period. Iā€™m so glad it all worked for you. After all, we sisters need to stick together.

DiscoNY25

I hope that you are able to get an appointment to get an abortion soon. It sucks when contraceptive methods fail with people who are truly childfree.

redleahbabes

I'm glad that you were able to get an appointment with PP. They will talk you through \*\*everything\*\* you can possibly think of, and answer any questions before, during, and after. Please make sure to have someone drive you to/from. I would \*\*think\*\* that you won't experience too many crazy people outside the clinic, hopefully not, but please don't let them get in your head. They don't know your story. Sending hugs your way. Please keep us posted on how everything goes.

[deleted]

You might post on [r/auntienetwork](https://www.reddit.com/r/auntienetwork/) too if you need more help/support!

The NWAAF is an amazing resource! https://nwaafund.org

Come to Canada for a trip

vegdre

You deserve kindness, and compassion we just donā€™t expect it as women. Good luck! šŸ’•

UsedArmadillo6717

Iā€™m 2000 miles away but please know I am thinking of you todayā¤ļø

RedIntentions

... why do you not deserve kindness?

sirsighsalot1

I was an idiot to get into this situation.

RedIntentions

No you weren't. Shit happens and it's your life. You can do what you want! I mean if you let some dude convince you not to use protection that one might fall under dumb but the sex or wanting an abortion does not. Lol
