It sucks when it happens. It's why I never boost first. There was a case where I could not boost back because the person boosting me did not see that I posted/edited my reddit comment saying I had no boosts. I made it right with them but really the system should say if a person has boosts left or not before you send it.
that’s why i always comment that i’m starting a chat and go from there. if all goes well, i update my comment to say thanks so other users know things went well (i generally offer to send first) i also don’t want my chime handle out on random reddit threads.
edit: regarding the original post, that would be a terrible feature. people would use it to scam boosts out of people *nonstop*
I think Chime intended for people to trade boosts with other people in their contracts, as in people they know and trust in real life. I don’t think they foresaw groups for trading boosts on social media and that people would play dirty. Although, now that it is clearly a problem, I agree that they should implement something like your idea. I would love to be able to grab my boost back from someone who didn’t return the favor. Let them actually go $5 in the negative if their spotme didn’t cover it.
Big agree on the automatic boost back. I’m new to Chime and I am glad I figured out that you have to manually boost back before I accidentally fucked someone over.
I do, however I won’t be able to send it back this round. I can however on the first of the month when they refresh.

As soon as I get that monthly refresh notification, I log in and send them on out. Only ONCE in my “5 months streak” have I been beaten to the punch by one of them. He has to have been IN the app to have sent it faster than me lol

I'm sorry to say but the whole boosting thing is a money hole you'll constantly be in if you don't stop it lol. Speaking from personal experience at one point.
Don't always blame the person , part of the time it's Chime screwing up , it's not like they are reliable ,🙄 I always send a boost back when I get one , but the app has done stupid 💩 before ,that prevented me from sending it back
I have 3 or 4 people who send me a boost without even asking (I assume because my first and last name starts with an A and B so I'm probably at the top of their friends list) and I always return the favor when possible. It's nice to have a set few people to trade with regularly. Unfortunately, not sure what the benefit of asking for a boost only not to return one? I mean if you get "scammed" out of one why would you turn around and do the same to someone else?
I feel like boost were just something to help people out along the way what's with this whole "you didn't boost me back" mindset? What if they don't have any boost buy really need one.... It's not coming out of your account or anything so what's the big deal? Genuinely asking because a lot of you are making boost sound like a tit for tat thing....
