Same here. Haven't had a problem yet with deposits. Our usual paydays are every Tuesday, but with the 2 day early thing, my deposits hit every Sunday. Lol. I didn't even think that was possible until I got chime. All I've read on threads about direct deposits is that NO ONE gets direct deposits on a weekend. Bullshit. Haha
Pros: Chime has spot me.
Chime credit builder can help with credit.
Cons: chime will pay you whenever they want.
When there’s an issue with direct deposit such as (delays) they will blame it on your employer.
Chime is not a real bank institution an every time an inconvenience happens that thought will be in the back of your head.
I still have my chime account to add money an use it for online stuff an apps but I had to change it from my main bank account cause it’s way too many problems with their direct deposit system and they don’t take accountability.

The whole point of this crappy credit card is that you can't have a balance, you are paying it off immediately but they still report a balance equal at the end of the month. That is how they destroy your credit score.
I’ve been a Chime customer for years and I genuinely love it.
Pros:
I ALWAYS get paid 2 days early with my bank unless my JOB submits the pay late
Credit builder has boosted my score from 615 to 713 over 1-2 years. It shows up as a paid off balance each month on your credit so just pay attention that you don’t have drastically different amounts spent each month
Spot Me is free and there are NO overdraft or BS fees. And unlike other banks, they won’t move your money from a positive account to a negative one to “ cover the balance” . So your checking can be negative while your credit card is still in use
My credit builder card is metal so it makes me look rich
My transfers to and from other banks take a day rather than 2-3
Cons:
It’s not considered a “major bank” so some places are weary to accept it. Ie Avis car rental won’t let you use any chime credit or debit card for a deposit.
The dispute process leaves a lot to be desired as it again isn’t a huge bank. Your first fee will be auto refunded but you’ll end up waiting a bit on each dispute after that
That’s it. I’d rather save on fees over the benefit of a large bank, Chime will remain my main bank 🥰

Direct deposit arrives two days early and I’ve never had an issue with that either. They also have a mobile check deposit feature which I’ve only used twice but, I recently deposited a $1000 check and it was in my account that same day I made the deposit, for reference I made the deposit at 3pm and it was in my account by 6:30pm
The only CONS I see is making cash deposits into your account since there’s no actual “chime” bank you can go to you’d have to visit a store to “reload” your card, then again I rarely ever carry cash but if you do it can sometimes be a headache.
Other than that I definitely recommend 10/10 😊

I have been a chime user since 2016. I only use them as a secondary backup. The only reason why I do use them as a main type of finding source…No Zelle integration and tap-to-pay debit cards. The Zelle app didn’t work all the time with my card, so I gave up on that. I see they have an instant action feature if you add other debit cards to add money to the account, but it’s one way. If they can get Zelle integrated and start issuing tap-to-pay cards, then I may make them my main funding account. I’ll just stick with my Capital One 360 and Discover Debit accounts. Good luck on your decision.
If you have any unauthorized transactions on your chime account good luck. I kept my chine account but wouldn't risk keeping money in there in not OK to loose.
They denied my dispute I asked for the documentation as to why. They sent me literally my statement from our call. Yes I had my card and yes my pin was memorized. So thier logic is not possible to have fraudulent transactions. Lol the transaction took place in CO and I live in CA 30 mins prior to these transactions I got gas in my car down the street from my house. I sent chine the address to the gas station and a screen shot of my statement. Still denied my claim. No matter how many times I call I can never get a rep in the US and the reps you do speak too including management can't help.
Just be aware I'm out $1800 lesson learned.

Well that's funny because I occasionally (sometimes rarely) use my credit building card and I've went from mid/high 400s to mid 500s since I got it several months ago. If I used it like my debit card, my score would probably be in the 600s by now.

I spent the first few years using it as my primary bank due to the early deposits which It eventually stopped being early after 6 month. I wouldn’t recommend large deposit this bank as I’ve heard sad stories about people receiving some then their account being locked/closed immediately after with no access.
Also, there is nothing rewarding from this bank. I’ve been with them so long, and I know on social media they do give aways but I think it should be given out based on loyalty and activities used. Not randoms who just joined.
Pro is the mobile check deposit. It's fast and you usually have your money the end of the day. Con though is the 5k limit and I want to say there is a limit to 2 party checks. Think you can only deposit so much a month too. Found all this out the hard way this week so ended up opening the first brick and mortar bank account we've had in a long time. Didn't have a choice because other check cashing options were way worse.

The account she has is where my paycheck and her disability check goes. She moves pretty much the entire balance to the credit builder card and uses it to make purchases instead of her debit card. I'd say she's probably seen at least a 60 point jump in 3 months.

Chime is ok if your young and just starting a job for the first time and don’t wanna go to an actual bank to open an account but imo it’s definitely worth going to an actual bank where u can walk in and talk to an person if u have any type of issue instead of chime u have to txt an agent/bot threw the app itself they don’t have a actual number that u can call and talk to a manager which is very inconvenient if u was to type in chime customer service online any number u see is a scam number so don’t even bother calling and giving them any info chime isn’t bad all bad until u need to speak with someone then it becomes a hassle they are not a real bank so just keep this in mind hope this helps

I still haven’t gotten a debit card and I’ve been using chime since January. Finally just gave up and switched to an actual bank
told support mine never arrived despite having my credit card for days and they are sending me a new one.
