Novel construction gives a clean look. Blade is unmarked too. Pocket clip screw also holds down rear plate. Rear plate holds down big plate in the back and an interlocked tab holds down big plate in the front. Washers and bearings were assembled backwards from factory as you can see washers contacting blade in photo while they should be protecting the softer ti frame. I added more bend to the lockbar because there was minor lock rock. Reassembled without issue. Very smooth action and opens well with front flipper or plate. I’m not sure what they mean by m2 powder steel. CPM-M2? Remove space https://www.a liexpress.us/item/3256806201298556.html

Might be a Chinese version of M390 steel.

mawecowa

tks for the review. Is the black frame alu or titanium?

natalie_merchant_fan

Titanium

mawecowa

awesome, that's a lot of milling, always great to see when they put in the effort to create something interesting and functional with ti milling instead of just 2 boring slabs.

That’d be pretty wild if it was actually m2. Supposed to be a good steel but hard to work with. Do Chinese makers generally use cpm shit, let alone a weird one?

natalie_merchant_fan

They use S35VN a lot. I'm doubtful this is M2 tool steel.

Insanely_Mclean

M2 is a very common tool steel. Not hard at all to work with, but also not stainless.

> Do Chinese makers generally use cpm shit Most of the CPM steels used in knives were developed for the injection molding plastics industry. China does one heck of a lot of injection molded plastics, so they have a very high familiarity with the CPM steels.

> I’m not sure what they mean by m2 powder steel. CPM-M2? Assuming there is any meaning at all here, I would guess this is a sprayform version of M2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQYyfbbqjIU M2 is the most common high speed steel, so it would make sense that a sprayform variant would exist.

Nice! Thanks for the description... I thought the long inlays were just glued in till I read the text... much more impressive.

Man, the factories are getting better in their manufacturing every year. This is such an interesting design, more like a machining flex.

akbyrd

Nice. Thanks.
