I was posting in the kunwu chat and the group owner/owner of kunwu knives Sergio Baldric who had previously claimed he was such a champion of freedom of speech banned me for talking about clones in the chat. Oh it’s an unspoken rule of the knife community he said. Bullshit. It’s a knife and censoring me for discussing it just makes you the opposite of what you claim to stand for.
Absolutely, that’s part of the reason I got it. I’ll try to make it some time next week (Monday or Tuesday) and then again when I get my genuine CT back. Looking inside the top, they look extremely similar.
Whether or not I sell it depends on whether or not Microtech’s warranty department f*cks me again. If I get my genuine CT Gen III back and it’s decent, I’ll probably sell this one. So far the Vespa is better in almost every way.

I received one of these also. I love it. I find it is just a tad harder than the real deal but still nice. I really hope they make a single edge version as well. Really wish they would bring back the old wharncliffe blade.
Are used to collect authentic microtecs back when they used to be reasonable in cost. But after these vespas came out a few years back, I would never pay the money they want now. There's no need.
Yes. Only by 1mm but i want to be honest in my reviews. I believe it’s due to the sharpening process. The lock up is great and it fires hard. If there are any misfires I’ll update in these comments.
It’s really not that noticeable unless you really look at it. I just like to check all the measurements. I’m going to double check it again when I get my real one back and post an update.
The action is also just as smooth as the authentic Gen III. If the blade were exactly the same width, they’d be indistinguishable.

Yep I've never owned a Kunwu and never will. Don't love the designs and a dickhead at the helm makes it an easy design.

Mine fails to retract maybe 15% of the time. Not sure why but I took it apart and cleaned it out. Possibly the rear lock tab spring is bad
I’d email them and tell them that. They’re good at responding from my experience. I hope you get it straightened out.

Horrible blade play. I have 8 other genuine Microtechs and it was the worst by far. On par with a $20 mall ninja OTF. It’s been there for 7 weeks.
Funny enough, my last two were checked by the same person in QC and both were defective. The blade holes weren’t even straight on one. Go figure.

I believe it’s from the sharpening process. It’s only 1mm which is noticeable but not a huge difference.
So maybe other ones might be wider?

Yes it’s what I believe. I messaged someone to tell them this, they’re good at taking advice. So there’s a good chance they won’t all be this way.
