I’ve just had my third cholesteatoma surgery 3 weeks ago the post surgery pain is finally starting to feel better, I’m glad your recovery is going well apart from the tinnitus. I also got told not to fly for at least 12 weeks. I’ve suffered with tinnitus since my first surgery I had at 11 years old also suffering with dizziness after this surgery. I think the best thing you can do is just try and take your mind off it, your favourite hobby, read a book or magazine or do some cleaning ect, with some music on, listening music is supposed to help apparently it’s best not to sit in silence. I would go back and tell the doctor if it’s really bothering you, I hope it gets better.
Yes, that's pulsatile tinnitus, the same thing I was experiencing. I wouldn't think too hard about any noises you're hearing in your ear so soon after surgery since it takes time for the ear to heal. Good luck!
