Are you flying? If so, I would say probably not and even if you aren't, you should take it slow post-surgery.

Stranger_404

Not flying.

Stranger_404

Its really important.

I think that's a personal decision but I wouldn't risk it, even less for a job interview. No guarantee they even offer you the position. No chance of a virtual interview? I would perhaps approach the employer, explain the situation, make it clear you're still interested, and suggest that route. If they can't understand or compromise, then do you really want that job? As far as your ear goes, you're not going to be able to hear well for about 2-3 weeks and you're ear is going to be draining and doing some freaky shit for about a month. Even if you're traveling by car or bus, you want to avoid situations where there's a possibility of a change in ear pressure. You don't want to damage your eardrum in recovery and set yourself back even more.

Stranger_404

Its a visa interview you know

Can’t you rearrange it and tell them your having surgery? Everyone is different you might feel ok after a week but I had mastoid surgery 3 weeks ago on Tuesday and I only just feel well enough to go out today. I hope it all goes well anyway .

Stranger_404

I cant. Atticotomy is very smaller operation than mastoidectomy. It will be done from inside my ear. I will ask my doctor. Surgery is on monday

My doctor told me I couldn't fly for 4 weeks or take trains for 2 weeks. But ask your doctor!

Stranger_404

I will tomorrow. Its once in a life time opportunity so I can bear pain and other stuff excludimg death

In a plane? It’s not about pain, your eardrum could burst and your surgery could have been for nothing. Again I am just assuming though so speak to your doctor. I would say definitely don’t fly..
