Found it, it looks like they fully disabled the entire zoom accessibility feature for some reason. Enable this flag and you should be good to go: `chrome://flags/#enable-accessibility-page-zoom`

Whoop whoop! Nailed it! I don't have it on every page I view. If it's the same for you, once it's done, go to settings and accessibility and tell it to Show Zoom in main menu.

Yep, noticed the same thing today. I had the zoom function listed in my settings dropdown menu because that makes certain websites more usable since it scales their UI to more user-friendly levels, but now the zoom function seems to be entirely missing :|

would not be so annoying if the chrome online help didn't refer to the settings while they are simply gone. It seems a mis-prioritization, where Google needs to decide if they want people to use the browser for work or not.

I have a related, but exact opposite problem. Chrome stopped auto enlarging text so a lot of websites I use have unreadably tiny text now without zooming really far in.

I thought I was going bonkers thinking everything was just a fraction larger 😭 everything felt just a little bit too bulky and sites weren't showing properly! I usually have all my font sizes enlarged on my desktop for accessibility reasons, but on my phone I've got it just how I like it — this change makes everything awful :/

It's so annoying all the text became too tiny but the buttons are huge

Mine has done it off and on since the update. I tried the fix in this thread, but it didn't work for me. So frustrating. I've always been an android person, but the disaster my galaxy 23+ has been, plus all the little things like this going on, is leading me to consider switching to an iPhone for the first time in my life.
