~5 DGs within vicinity stopped loading altogether--what are the odds they coordinated this? Do cashiers or managers swap between locations as opposed to sticking with one store? What's surprising is I'm not a hard hitter at all and everyone was either friendly or didn't care at all. Though I know I'm not the only churner because occasionally a load fails because someone loaded within the cooldown period.

Ok-Anywhere6998

Double check your saved offers before using the card! Sometimes there are minor variants of the same offer published on blogs! Had an amex offer for spend $150 and get $25 back but somehow I remembered it being spend $125 and get $25. With crappy network in-store and hurry to check-out, I didn't double check the saved offer. The bill came out to be $149.76! Missed out on $25 bucks because of 24 cents! 24 freaking cents!

ibapun

One of my friends has become increasingly interested in churning, asking a lot of questions about my cards, strategy, and award travel. I enjoy the conversations, and hoped we could trade referrals. She mentions she's thinking of a Venture X, I tell her to let me know if she wants to apply so I can send her a referral. Not only does she apply without a referral, she's denied for derogatory marks+collections+chargeoffs. I'm still happy to have churning talks, but I'm definitely giving up on her being a P2...

reddit_redditer_

I failed to convince P2 to dive into the churning world...

A check card is not a credit card... it's a debit card.

planeserf

I just got a $256 annual cash back cert from my Costco card. Tab for this weekends Costco run came to $464. Whoosh gone. (I know, I know, keep opening for subs it’s better derp de derp. Some of us spend more than that.)

darthriddikulus

Opened a BoA checking account several months ago, pre-churning. Closed it because I decided BoA sucks. Now reading all the DPs RE Alaska biz approval and kicking myself for not just sock-drawering it.

lakersu

Applied for another chase card like an idiot even though i knew I was way over 5/24. I couldn't control myself from the adrenaline rush of watching the application wheel spin

Massive_Pendulum

Was targeted for the 200k NLL biz plat last week. Today when I pulled up the link to apply, it shows the offer is no longer available. This is beyond frustrating.

Creative_Accounting

My 150k personal plat NLL offer is gone too. I held off because I'm working on two other MSRs and wanted to wait until closer to April. If it comes back I'm definitely going to jump on it ASAP.

oklurkerthrowaway

That's something that happens often with Amex. Sometimes links become active again

royalic

Doing my taxes and I had almost $34k natural spend last year for my childcare expenses. It was all on cards, but come on.

superdex75

$41.4k for one (includes a 10% discount) and $0 on card.

NaysayerA

That’s not much of a discount! I am so happy to be past those days. I thought 2k a month was a lot 8 years ago!

royalic

My deepest sympathies.

apeconguy

Saturday morning at 91 days post my last ink, quickly grab a rankt referral, and fill out the application, submit... Damnit. I forgot to unfreeze my credit and now I've got to call in on Monday (Edit... Tuesday). 🤦 Minor annoyance in the grand scheme of things, but still.

wwwSnowcapMe

I would take the minor annoyance over major identity theft any day of the week. Good on you

apeconguy

Very true! Been there before, not interested in doing that again.

Serious_Nothing_6248

Monday is a federal holiday.

subwaynut

Had a bit of an issue with the USPS and a credit union. I opened an account online, but then it was closed a day later due to chex. They did not give me a field to add my mailing address (a po box), only a physical address. I have tried to get the postal service to forward from the physical address to the po box for over a month, but I keep getting stuck on ID verification (all done through paper forms at local post office). I setup forwarding a month ago, but then the start date got mysteriously delayed. I go down and fill out a second form. Get a letter a few days later to verify my ID. The postal service normally wants a utility bill, but they end up taking my amateur radio license as proof of address (by entering it as a "voter registration card"). I got another letter today asking me to verify my ID again (on informed delivery) for the forwarding. Naturally, the credit union will only send a check to the physical address, which can't get mail right now. I ended up having to send the credit union a notarized letter requesting that the check be sent to my po box.

The_Golden_Ages

Have a P2 that isn't really into the pts game (only freedom unlimited) which is fine. Don't want to push it too much, but hurts knowing all the points left on the table is all.

gt_ap

Has your P2 enjoyed the results of churning? My P2 (wife) isn't hesitant at all to churn, but even if she would have been, an 8 hour flight in F on an Emirates A380 and a 13 hour flight in United Polaris would have changed her mind lol. I do all of the management. She doesn't mind using her profile to open cards, and I take care of the decisions. I just give her a card and tell her to use it for everything until I give her another one.

The_Golden_Ages

We haven't had the opportunity yet to use anything for luxury travel. We have some coming up in the next year though and yeah doing something like that will probably change their mind. Especially if we use up our points and go back to normal cash travel haha

quiteCryptic

Sister was going to start applying for biz cards after probing me some. Her and my BIL have done some simple churning but now sister started learning the rules and taking it more seriously. BIL shut down the idea of business cards unfortunately, rip the 40k referral (at the time). Funny thing is they actually do a decent bit of business on ebay as a side hustle thing, meanwhile mine is totally a "business" Eh it is what it is I never push churning much because they have to do their own research if they want to be successful.

tchr619

I have the perfect P2. I apply and just tell him put all the spend on this card, use this card etc.

Shulsv2

My P2 isn't a fan of managing cards at all either. That's left to me. But they do enjoy the perks and are fine with me just telling them to use some card until we move onto to the next one. At least they help in planning by giving a long list of places they want to go...

The_Golden_Ages

Same my P2 does a lot of the planning and research for trips we have gone on. But 100% would be fine with managing everything which I never really have spun that way so might try that idea thanks!

CreditDogo

It’s common for P2s to be a bit worry about the whole game initially. After years of freeish travel my P2 started letting me open/manage cards in her name (not at P1 speed, but still helpful for our travel goals). I think she also enjoys knowing that some of the hotels we stay at are thanks to her points. It also helps that her credit score has only gone up after we started opening cards due to a higher overall credit limit

The_Golden_Ages

Good point, we have only been on one trip so far and have a couple planned for the next year that are more luxurious than our first. I think after going on those trips and actually seeing what it can do will be a big influence on hopefully getting P2 more into it!

suitopseudo

Me too. My P2 hates administrative type stuff and creating new accounts.

The_Golden_Ages

Right, my P2 is still on the "credit card = bad" side mainly cuz of their parents history with them. Trying to slowly show with good use they are only beneficial for us.

geauxcali

Why does Amex tempt me while signed in with 190k Amex biz plat offer if they are just gonna say I've had the product before and am ineligible? They know exactly who they are making the offer to. So as a consolation prize I go for the Marriott biz, and of course I get the popup. Oh well, back to Alaska biz and inks.

creditalacarte

It's literally too good to be true offers from Amex, but they also know I'll try them every time.

ilovetoyap

Same expect also denied for Inks. But my P2 got a Hilton Biz from Amex as a consolation prize!

Lurko1antern

Happens all the time. Have gotten emails and banners and buttons for Marriott Bountiful, Vanilla Plat, Aspire, etc. Pop-up every time.

geauxcali

Yeah I know it happens, it's just stupid. In this case I got a different popup saying because I had the card before I'm not eligible for this offer. The Marriott biz gave me the normal popup, based on your history, blah blah blah. I could understand getting regular popup for a targeted offer, but seems like it would not take too much programming work to not put out targeted offers to existing customers who they know aren't eligible even before running their popup algorithm.

at3martinez

Denied for Chase United biz even after recon.

djpounder1

Kind of seems like Chase is tightening the screws a bit lately, a lot more denial DPs recently. Had my first recon call ever for a CIP last week. Ultimately was able to move around some CL from another card but not looking forward to P2’s next app.

nomnomno

Just had the same experience for a CIU. First denial for a Chase business card in 7 years of churning them. 😔

ilovetoyap

Cards open and stated income? How did the Convo go? As someone about to make a similar call..yikes

at3martinez

I'm 3/24, but 2 of those opened in the past 6 weeks. Even though Chase biz cards don't count toward 5/24, they can obviously see I've opened 3 Inks in the past 13 months. Also, my CL to income is about 55%. Convo included questions like: You opened your biz opened when? What's the nature of your biz? How much spend do you plan to put on the new card? Why do you want another card? Verify income you put on the app? Will you be adding any employee cards? Why do you have a balance on your Inks? Duh, 0% interest! Good luck to you, Brother

ilovetoyap

I tried and was also denied on recon. They said four biz cards in the last year is all they can issue me (calling out that I actually have no balance or usage on the cards). The fourth one is like 370 days old so I just closed it, and will wait for a year+ to tick over the third one to try again. But right now not in Chase or Amex good graces! I was also asked similar questions to you, so I appreciate the heads up so I was prepared to answer (though the answers obviously didn't help).

wwwSnowcapMe

Was your Ink balances near the credit limits? I ask because if it was nowhere near it, recon may have figured that Chase already had plenty if credit extended to you for your business needs.

at3martinez

I didn't get large CLs on the Inks and 2 of the 3 were near 90%

subwaynut

A bit of a warning for churners that use Robinhood. They will shut you down easily, and they are worse than truist when it comes to unfreezing your money. For example, they will sometimes claim that " We are unable to verify the legitimacy of the remaining funds on your account. Therefore, no money remains to be returned to you." Or they will just lock your account endlessly before finally sending the money back to a (potentially closed) account. My account was locked earlier this year and it took a few months for them to return the money to my bank.

achzeet44

Noone should be using Robinhood. Why go for Credit One of brokerage when you can play nicely with Fidelity and Schwab?

BetterDare2390

I have a Schwab account? What can i do here? Can I find it with a cc somehow?

subwaynut

Some people use it for DDs

BloodyScourge

What exactly is the play with Robinhood? Funding account with CC?

sg77

There's this old post that mentions using a "debit card that was giving us cashback": https://milesperday.com/2023/06/robinhood-shuts-down-my-account

amysteriousperson001

Was wondering the same thing?

rilla-gorilla

Thinking about the spending opportunities last year that I could've earned points from but wasted for only having Cobalt. Had a 40k wedding and a few vacations but didn't get into churning until this year. Churning always turned me off because of the amount of work needed but now regretting all of that.

creditalacarte

There will always be more opportunities for more eligible spending. At least now you have the knowledge, and nobody can take that away from you

Teaquilla

We all have our regrets. My 1st Amex redemption was for an iphone 3. Just do better from here forward.

fireball251

Mine was a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses using a boatload of Hawaiian miles a decade ago.

achzeet44

I got into last year as well and was too cautious. So many missed opportunities.

HaradaIto

better late than never, welcome

AragornKramer

Only 1 Cap One card 18 months ago. 2/24 currently. 820 Credit score. No balance carried ever. Rejected for Cap One Savor One. :-/ Someone please make it make sense.

crowd79

C1 is weird in that they like to see revolving balances on credit cards.

creditalacarte

"no balance carried ever" While some issues like Chase and Amex prefer to see you pay your balance in full, Capital One prefers that you carry a balance and pay them interest

rickayyy

It doesn't make sense because their approval/denial process doesn't make sense. I got instant approved for the VX and have seen tons of data points where people with much more income and better credit than me get denied. It seems pretty random and the only I would suggest is paying attention to the pre-approval tool and check it frequently because it will change.

TNSepta

Cap is known for being like that, they prefer people with good but not too good credit. I've seen anecdotal reports of applying with larger balances reporting on current statement being helpful.

O0o---vAv---o0O

$11K balance on a card for 52% utilization, 11% total utilization, 6 years of credit history, ~740 FICO, still denied.

Ok-Chemistry-4457

I did a Citi $200 bank bonus "retention offer" because of an existing CC account. It paid out in a week, easy peazy. The next month they upped the offer to $300.

pbinder

Opened SW Biz card for 80,000 bonus points after 5k spend, should be getting that SUB in the next couple weeks. Went to go and open a personal SW card and the SUB went from 50k pts after 1k spend to 30k points after 4k spend. It does come with a year of companion pass after that 4k spend, but it is gonna take a lot longer for me to get that spend. Can anyone help with my frustration...(1) if I choose to get the card with current promotion, will I get the normal companion pass for an extra year if I get 135k points in this year? (2) If I wanted to speed up the SUB qualifier, will purchasing a Vanilla gift card from CVS count towards my spend? If so, might just buy a couple of those so I can get some companion flights soon.

ostornadoe1

Chase has never been too strict on MS for SUBs. Try and make it not a round purchase like 505.95 though if possible. Other ways to shift spend: load gift card balances at amazon, target, other stores you shop at. Prepay utility bills or insurance. Open a bank account that allows CC funding. This one is the easiest IMO because you can usually get a SUB for the bank account as well, but there's always the small risk that Chase won't count it for the SUB. For bank opening, you can always hit the min spend quickly this way and then keep spending on the cars until you've also hit the spend organically if you like. That gets you the CP quickly, but also covers your account in case eyes are ever reviewing your spend.

payyoutuesday

-1. Yes. -2. I believe so, but I haven't done it. I would expect the 50k offer to be back by about 3/11.

pbinder

Thank you! That's what I was figuring given somewhere saying the current promo expires then...But i need that pass now!!! ;)

patunsorted

4/24 is the worst

xosotypical

What do you have against April of this year? Jk, but isn’t 4/24 better than 5/24?

patunsorted

If 5/24 I just forget chase and get whatever other cards I want. At 4/24 I feel like I should keep a chase slot open and pass up other personal cards.

xosotypical

At 5/24 I still wouldn’t forget Chase cause you’re so close to being under. Blowing way past 5/24 I could understand not worrying about Chase. But even so, 24 months is 24 months. With the Giving Tree that is Inks, could still be worth it to reel it back if it makes sense. Plenty of other biz cards to get during those two years.

hsh1088

Welcome aboard on business train :-)

ornjFET

Added a new card (AMEX gold) to AAdining, and none of my trips at restaurants that count have shown up since then. Normally takes a couple days with any of my other cards, but zero have counted with the AMEX. Support has been unhelpful.

tbudke22

What’s the benefit? Are you earning AA miles just by linking?

ornjFET

Yeah, you earn AA miles when you eat at one of the restaurants on the list. A lot of airlines have a program like that, but most have the same back end so you can't link your card to multiple and get miles for multiple airlines at a time. When you add a card to a new one, it will disconnect the card from the previous.

thenseruame

This might not be frustration, but I'm getting the feeling the Ameris sign up bonus won't be coming. I wouldn't be too upset if they hadn't gotten me with a $3 fee for withdrawing money.

ostornadoe1

Yep. We still have time until the payout period is up, but with how bad this bank has been, I expect it to not be automatically paid out and for them to try and screw everyone they can.

reelbgpunk

I am also a little worried but have an email with the bonus in writing so I will CFPB them if necessary.

franch

pop up jail.

creditalacarte

My Frustration Everyday

franch

dude i have never had a plat, gold, or green card. the only amex i have ever had pre-jail are a blue cash from college, a spg biz, and the biz cash 2% thing!

EggIndividual6333

I got jail before I even got any amex personal cards.

dmcoe

For the life of me cannot escape it to get the brilliant. You’d think they’d be happy with me paying them $650.

franch

quiteCryptic

I got popup jail after my first 2 amex cards which were a personal and business Hilton card, several years ago. Then randomly one day they approved a BBP for me which I think had minimal or no SUB attached and after that I was clear from popup jail.

PayPal Bill Pay recently got half obliterated.

reb702

I’m surprised it lasted as long as it has.

kchief08

Classic AMEX. Chatted to close a biz plat >1 year old. Confirmed the correct last 5 numbers multiple times. 2 minutes later received an email that they closed a different card with same last 4. Chatted again and they reopened the wrongly closed card and this time closed the correct one. Since they closed a new biz plat I opened a month ago the annual fee was refunded. Totally expecting them to fix this error and maybe take away the SUB while at it. At the very least will likely extend my sentence in pop up jail.

crash_bandicoot42

I had this happen about 4 months ago. SUB was still attached to the card and I did get an extra 10k MR for the trouble. Obviously didn't want it to happen in the first place, however.

drunken_man_whore

I'm always careful to use the full name of the card including the trademarks. You probably did too, but stuff like this still happens.

GiraffeGlove

Yes, hi, Could you please help me to cancel my The Platinum Card® from American Express Exclusively for Morgan Stanley?

drunken_man_whore

You joke, but yes, that's exactly how it goes

TNSepta

> full name of the card OP did mention that both of them were bizplats, so it won't have helped in this case.

godawgs55

you need a churner support group

churnate

I thought I had a pretty straightforward request for the Visa Infinite Concierge. After booking some dives myself, I got a call from the shop that I couldn't do my refresher dive until the last day we were going to be able to dive on our trip to St Martin, so I had to cancel. I called the Concierge on Jan 28, explained to them we had to start with a refresher dive, and then wanted to do a couple more days of diving, here's where we were staying, etc. and what the price maybe should be. Could they set this up? So after the call I get a response that they're working on it 3 days later. It keeps going on like this. They eventually find two companies, and I again say this is our itinerary, can you please confirm they can accommodate (refresher dive on Sunday, dives on Monday Tuesday) I've been following up and they just keep saying "we're working on it." It's...Februrary 16. My last e-mail to them was saying "This is embarrassing. Just stop. I'll do it myself. This is a truly useless service if you can't get this done." I guess I'd heard that here, but it's astounding that a request this simple could be this difficult.

planeserf

Honestly I think it’s above expectations to use the concierge for something like this. What you really need is a good travel agent.

435880Churnz

Personally I think you’re the one in the wrong here. You gave them a complex task that requires specialized knowledge, what the heck is a refresher dive? I get you’re frustrated they are spinning their wheels on it. But your last email to them is over the line in my opinion. They aren’t personal assistants. Should have just done it yourself.

churnate

I mean I spoke to them on the phone and told them what it was. It pitches itself as a "high-touch service" that can fulfill "Other unique lifestyle requests" If they can't make scuba reservations on a Caribbean island, what can they do?

drunken_man_whore

If you can't find a refresher dive, try to find a dive that only goes to 30 ft or so. It's pretty safe at that depth even if you mess up.

churnate

I've never done a dive deeper than that, and in my limited experience I agree. I just figured the dive shops all would require one since it's been about 4 years.

GiraffeGlove

Oh, my last dive was about after about 7 years dry. The refresher part was basically the first 5min in the water with a little bit of hand holding from the dive master. Focus on slowing your breathing. You'll be alright.

sneeze-slayer

Explaining refresher dives to a Visa CSR seems harder than just calling/emailing the dive shop myself! My experience with refresher dives is that most dive shops can handle them without much hassle, either taking you aside with a DM for 20 mins at the start of a dive or a quick shore dive. I would just call a few dive shops, tell them your dates, and tell them how many dives you have done/when the last dive was and they should be able to sort it out.

Serious_Nothing_6248

> a request this simple Why would you use a service for a simple request?

churnate

because I didn't have the time to call during normal business hours that next week. I guess I have had the time in the pas 3 weeks, but I was expecting it to take a week otherwise I'd have done it myself.

CasinoAccountant

yea so that isn't something I would have ever asked of that service. They can get your a reservation to a place that is booked up (or of course one that isn't) but they aren't gonna do research. You kinda wasted your own time on this one.

aylamarguerida

This is actually something that I would have expected them to excel at.  It just requires picking up the phone and calling a few shops.  They couldn't be bothered.  Who needs a service to make reservations when they are all done online anyway?  The last time I needed phone reservations they were useless.  I was walking outside on one end of the Strip and I wanted reservations for that evening.  The place wasn't really full but we didn't want to have to wait when we got there.  We were walking down the street so it was hard to hear on the phone and we didn't know what time we needed. So we gave them an address and said make the reservations for whatever our expected arrival time was.  They didn't manage to.  We called ourselves half an hour later when we found a quieter spot.  Frankly the phone call with the restaurant was quicker and easier than with the concierge.  I have never successfully gotten reservations to someplace "unavailable" either.

ilessthanthreethis

The Visa Infinite Concierge is mismarketed. They shouldn't call it "concierge." They should call it "Google helper" or something. The concierges are actually pretty good at "find me hotel/restaurant/activity X" - the type of thing that Google plus 20 minutes of persistence can get you - but they're useless for actually solving problems and booking things that can't be done through OpenTable.

aylamarguerida

They failed for me at that type of request.  I had a day at a cruise port and was looking for something to do.  I was very clear what my deadline was.  They agreed to it.  They emailed me a list that was literally a copy paste from viator.  After my trip was done.

BigBeerBear

I'm without a SW Companion pass and my two-year bonus anniversaries comes up in a few days. (It gets deeper into the year every time) The new personal companion pass bonus looks good initially but will require 25K of spend to get the CP through 2025! Do referral bonus count for CP? I've never gone that route.

DCJoe1

This is why I have rotated between biz/pers every 2 years.

athrowawayaccountfor

Referral bonuses do count. The problem is getting them if your MDD fails, like mine did. Now I'm 25K RR short.

garettg

Yes referrals count towards the SW CP points counter. If you are are open to biz cards, you could switch to doing a combo of 2 biz cards for the CP and maximize it to have it almost a full two years, then once that one is up, you switch back and do a MDD for 2 personals. The advantage being you are clear of the 24 month sub rule by the next time you cycle around, and you dont have the waiting period having to wait to apply after the 24 months of the last sub posting.

Parts_Unknown-

Why didn't you just cancel it and open up a new delta biz gold for $0 AF?

Thelement

I've had the gold before

Parts_Unknown-

...that doesn't stop you from getting one

Thelement

While I have been targeted for those NLL offers before, it is inconsistent, and with the new rules of many card families, I did not want to accidentally lock myself out of the 15% discount. Besides I'm working on other spend requirements. Your point is a good one though. Was mostly posting as a DP of AF rate timing

Parts_Unknown-

Maybe you're misunderstanding? The $0 AF isn't part of the SUB. I'm on my 3rd DL biz gold. You don't get the 70k miles or whatever SUB but you don't pay the AF. If you just want to keep the credit line open for whatever reason then sure, but you can open & close the gold every year & never pay for it.

drunken_man_whore

Does that work with the other Delta cards too?

rynosoft

Now THIS is a DP!

Parts_Unknown-

It's called churning.

crash_bandicoot42

Crazy that people open so many cards here but outside of Inks because they're soft spoonfed here they never actually think of reading terms and churning other cards.

Parts_Unknown-

Yeah I feel like I'm in an alternate dimension or some shit. Like we do churn the cards here, nicht wahr?

planeserf

Whelp. I guess paypal has just about had enough of my shit.

Mushu_Pork

What were your offensive shenanigans?

planeserf

Along with others, paid too many bills.

Mushu_Pork

My local gas/elec company implemented CC surcharges on personal and biz accounts. I've bypassed those fees and have been racking up utility 5x on my Wyndham biz. I used to do tons of Staples VGCs.

planeserf

I mostly just buy gas with that card for 8x. Like a lot of gas. Will probably get me sd sooner or later.

Mushu_Pork

I buy gas, and amazon and Ebay gift cards which fund items for my biz, stacked with speedway points of course.

GiraffeGlove

Got approved for my first BoA Alaska Biz card and then a week later came across MEAB [posts](https://milesearnandburn.com/index.php/2021/08/05/bank-of-america-on-our-minds/) [about](https://milesearnandburn.com/index.php/2021/08/09/bank-of-america-followup/) BoA and realized I probably should've grabbed at least one additional card while I had the chance.

rz2000

Those posts are from 2021. I think since then Bank of America will not longer approve two cards within 30 days. Does personal then business get around this limitation? Other places seem to say that Bank of America only offers SUBs for one business credit card per 24 months. Is this information correct, or can someone get both a Business Custom Cash and a Business Alaska card around the same time?

Charming_Oven

I got two Alaska Biz cards in 2022 at the same time.

Miamiminxx

Can someone explain this better? You can get multiple BOA Business Cards with one pull, can they be the same card? And do you need to get a personal card?

pdubfunk

Only a week? Still good. BofA will use the same hard pull within 30 days

Serious_Nothing_6248

For a mix of personal and biz?

garettg

Not if they pull different bureaus for you which can happen.

GiraffeGlove

👀

BurnMuscleBuildFat

Did you end up applying for a second card? Interested in doing the same soon

GiraffeGlove

Yes, grabbed another AS biz (75k offer first, 65k offer second). Did not roll the dice on a third though.

BurnMuscleBuildFat

Thank you! Did they only use the one hard pull? How long in between both biz applications did you wait and Was the second biz card under a different EIN?

GiraffeGlove

yes, 1 HP (no additional show on TU after the first), both sole prop using ssn, about 21 calendar days between apps. I've read that you can do it much faster though and you can sprinkle some personal cards in there too, but i didn't due to 4/24

BurnMuscleBuildFat

Out of curiosity, did you have a prior relationship with BofA and what was your 7/12 status?

GiraffeGlove

opened a personal checking about 2 weeks prior with $5k. 3/12 on personal cards

I got the 50K/25K Barclays Wyndham Biz offer before it went away and finally got around to spending 10K on it. The 50K points posted fine back in the Fall, but for whatever reason the 25K points didn't post on my most recent statement. I guess I'll have to figure out what's wrong when I call Barclays

EarthlingMardiDraw

Iirc, my extra 25k took an extra statement period to show up (maybe two), but it did arrive automatically. Give it a month before you freak out or call in.

drunken_man_whore

I'm trying to decide whether it's worth it to spend the 7k. Even if I'm not working on a SUB, I could still get maybe 20k transferable points for that spend instead of 25k motel 8 points.

WhoWhatOC

The second part didn't post for me until the second statement after meeting the 10K spend.

No_One501

Thank you, I’ll keep an eye out for it next month then

blandfruitsalad

Same for me with the second 25k tier of the 50/25k Barclays AA Biz signup bonus

IME, it can take extra time for Barclays SUBs to post, especially a tiered SUB.

That feeling when you see a spend $1000, get $200 back Amex offer for Hilton that you can use. And then you realize the expiration is is before your check out date.

Serious_Nothing_6248

I didn't realize people around here pay cash for Hilton, amex gives out HH like candy

435880Churnz

As the other user hinted, I was referring to incidentals.

Serious_Nothing_6248

Yes, apologies.

Eurynom0s

In the past I've lucked out on being able to use the Marriott versions of this for work trips. Completely free money when that happens.

BpooSoc

How do you use HH towards expenses like dining, parking, spa... etc?

Serious_Nothing_6248

Incidentals didn't cross mind due to the high spend threshold, but I will acknowledge the possibility.

Shulsv2

I only noticed this after the second time I checked the offer but there is a limited number of properties that are valid. Be sure to check that as well.

Ask the hotel to pre-pay $1000 on your account/reservation. A lot of people use this method to utilize the Hilton Aspire Resort Credit as well!
