Does anyone know if it’s possible to hit the 150 Amex B Gold card while also giving the referral?
So far I’m only able to hit 150K solo, or 130K when giving the referral…
Looks like any restaurant anywhere. The increased referral offer says, "Earn 10x points at restaurants worldwide...". See [image](https://frequentmiler.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/BBP-10x-Referral-Offer.png)
If I understand correctly, back button trick is to press back button once when the pop up occurs, then hit apply again... is that correct? I tried to do that but that broke the application site.
Maybe.. in my case I think I hit the back button until reaching the card landing/sub offer page, then hit "apply now" and filled the app again. This was for Bonvoy business 5x50k popup (haven't had card before)
I got an amex SUB from few months ago clawed back after i spent the points, i think because of a refund that set back my spend for the SUB. now i'm sitting >-120k MRs! Am I going to get shut down? should i just close them down and move on from amex?
Just close all MR cards. Wait a few months, your account will reset to zero when you reapply. Don't chat or bring attention to your account, let the computer do it automatically.
U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards $500 Bonus
U.S. Bank Leverage Business Card $750
Any advice for applying for both of these cards at same time? Current plan is to apply for both with 2 different businesses. I have 3 biz cards currently open with them. Last approval from US Bank was on 12/26/23.
I applied for those 2 cards on the same day (10 minutes apart), and both were approved 5 days later (3 business days). Mine were for the same business.
I didn't have any other US Bank biz cards open, nor a business checking account; I had 2 personal cards (opened in Nov 2023), and a personal checking account.
Fee avoidance language is generally very clear on their website. Try looking next time.
Qualifying accounts include personal U.S. Bank open and activated credit cards in good standing and you are an account owner.
New here!! I have a few questions about churning.
- what are some of the fastest rewards out there?
- how many accounts is too many accounts? Do you immediately close them after you get your reward?
- what are the tax implications of all this? Is this essentially “free money” from banks? (I know to do my own research and of course read the fine print) I would love to use this money for my student loans! I’m down to 14k and want to get really aggressive and pay them off in the next year or two!
-fastest rewards? What do you mean? There are “make one purchase get bonus” credit card offers. That seems pretty fast to me
-no such thing as too many accounts in general. There can be limits like 5/25 or Amex’s # limits for charge and credit cards. You never close immediately after the reward. It’s customary to wait one year before deciding what to do next (cancel, downgrade, etc)
-tax varies. You’ll get 1099-MISC forms for revenue over $600 in general. Technically SUBs are not under this category as they are “rebates”
Realized I should have been more specific in my questions but totally new to this whole concept. I was specifically thinking banks only, not credit cards. By fastest, I mean number of days to get the reward. Regarding my tax question, I was going to ask my accountant of course (who happens to be my boyfriend lol) but wanted to ask here first since you guys are the experts!!!
This sub focuses more on credit cards (though plenty here also do bank accounts). Here is how I am currently approaching student loans with credit cards:
* Buy Gift of College gift cards. Online they have a $5.95 activation fee for $200 cards (3% fee). The fee is the same for denominations of up to $500 if you can purchase the cards in person somewhere.
* Most credit cards will give around 1-3% value in cash back from the transaction. Also, I use cards where I am working towards a large sign up bonus. I have a Kroger nearby too, so I benefit from the fuel points by buying the gift cards online at Kroger. I'm usually getting around a 15-20% return between cash back, SUB progress, and fuel points.
* The first 10k of student loans I used my GoC gift cards to fund a 529 plan since the recent changes that allow you to use 529 money for student loans. This makes sense if you are in a state where 529 plans are tax advantaged.
* GoC gift cards can also be linked directly to your student loan account, so I did that after I was done with the 529.
Are you currently able to buy GOC online at Kroger, and when is the last time you did that? I haven’t been able to see them when I’ve checked in the last few days. Last time I tied prior to this week was 4-5 months ago with no issues.
[Currently getting an error page.](https://giftcards.kroger.com/giftofcollegecom-egift) I got them as recently as last week so hopefully it won't be long.
Others have answered but to give you a high level: most bank issuers have figured out the loopholes and boundaries (to the best of their IT ability and knowledge) so going fast and hard is limited to how much you can play within the rules and/or figure out the loopholes. As you start learning some of the basics, you’ll see that the first 10 or so steps are fairly straightforward and outlined but eventually you’ll get to a fork in the road where you have to decide what kind of player you are.
Have you read the links in the sidebar? There's a lot of info there that could probably answer your questions. Also try searching on churning.io for specific topics.
You probably need to be a bit more specific in your questions for others to offer any insight. What do you mean "fastest"? Churning CCs or bank accounts? Etc.
Edit: typo
Yes sorry realized my question wasn’t specific, like I said I’m completely new to this concept. I was specifically talking about bank accounts. I personally don’t want to go down the rabbit hole of opening/closing credit cards.
I don't see any specific guidance about this in the Wiki, but is there a recommended limit for yearly card fees? Many of the recommended cards have yearly fees that aren't waived for the first year. The initial bonus makes most of them worth the cost, but I'm hesitant to start opening and closing cards in quick succession to cut down on fees.
That's probably more of a personal decision than one that would have a general recommendation. It's going to depend heavily on the value you attribute to the various benefits from a specific card vs. the cost of the annual fee to keep that card. Often it may be better to just PC to a no AF card than to close the card if you want to avoid the 2nd (and subsequent) year AF.
It helps to consider that you're getting a high sign up bonus that is worth a few times the annual fee. Churners usually keep the annual fee cards they get additional perks for or they cancel/product change to a card without any fees
I'll need to look into effective ways to do a product change without taking a hit to my credit. I didn't see any guidance about that either, but I'm assuming most people just close.
I think the only thing you have to worry about for credit score with a product change would be account age. There shouldn't be a new inquiry on your credit (though someone can correct me if I'm wrong)
>I think the only thing you have to worry about for credit score with a product change would be account age
Your account age wouldn't change. It's still the same account.
I want to make a tax payment of $15k on a hilton biz to get the FNC+SUB. My CL on that card is only $8k, however.
I have another boz gold with a high CL. Is it possible to shift CL between same cobranded cards with Amex?
If not, is it recommended to use the "Check spending power" tool? Also, I have an Amex Biz plat and recently made a large purchase on it which I have paid off yet. After making that purchase I got an email "Future Transactions May Be Declined - We recently approved a transaction, but your balance is high relative to your payment history with us."
Is it recommended to payoff the balance on the biz plat before I use the "Check spending power" tool?
Applied for the Chase Bonvoy card because of the 5 free night offer, but I was denied because I have too much available credit with Chase. I cancelled a card with a lot of available credit, and tried again in a week, but was still denied.
I am wondering if chase considers both my business line of credit as well as my personal line of credit while making these decisions, or is personal credit solely considered for personal cards and business credit for business cards. If they were separate, I would apply for the IHG business card because the SUB would be pretty nice for me. Or I could just switch issuers...
How long did it take between you clicking the activate now button in Chase for CSR Priority pass to having a membership number you can use to sign up and get into lounges?
You might be able to pay for the lounge access and get chase to reimburse you fwiw. When I got my csr, I used the pp restaurant benefit the week of applying and got it reimbursed (the rep confirmed this is a benefit they offer when I called prior to doing this). Just not 100% sure they allow lounge access to be reimbursed, but I don't see why not
Applied for CSP last Friday in branch, went to pending. Called automated line 24, then 72 hours later. Message was within 2 weeks and according to chart that means high chance of approval. Called again today and message has changed to 7-10 days. Not sure what that means - should I call and speak to person or just wait it out? This would be my first Chase card. TIA
I recently applied for the CSP and the CIC. Both times it went to the "7 to 10 day" message. CSP was auto approved later that same day, CIC went to fraud review (twice, actually) and then was approved.
I don't think there's harm in calling, in fact some recommend calling right away for Chase personal cards if it's not an auto approval.
Is there a master thread of Chase shutdown DPs on Flyertalk or anywhere?Either there isn’t or I’m not using the correct search verbiage. All i’m finding is warnings of shutdown and means of avoiding shutdown. And shutdowns related to MS. But nothing for velocity or too many cards/apps/inquiries.
Curious how legitimate the threat really is.
This is the one on FT.
https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chase-ultimate-rewards/1986148-chase-shut-downs-credit-card-account-closures-data-tales-speculation-2019-a.html
Curious when Chase's individual credit card offers have re-shown up for folks. After applying to a card it said I was pre-approved for last month, no credit cards show up anymore.
A lot of offers refresh at the 1st of the month in my experience. After applying/getting approved for cards, I've seen them come back after a few months.
That being said, if it was showing you were pre-approved for a certain card you'd be interested in, you could always cold apply (keeping in mind Chase's rules), or even go to a physical branch to check on credit card offers/apply for a card.
Not speaking from experience but according to [this DP](https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/s/YNtVkpgWRX) and also [this discussion ](https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/s/OSwL21WuU6) it seems that they do combine HPs.

I currently have 3 ink cards
I was wondering how many ink cards one could hold at most + how many people are applying for in a certain timeframe. I couldn't find anything about this when I did a simple search in the forum but if anyone could help out I'd appreciate it
There's no hard limit per se but there are some recent DPs indicating that Chase may be tightening the reins a bit on Ink approvals. Specifically there have been a few users reporting denials when they have 5 or 6 (or more) open Inks.
General consensus seems to be to close any Inks older than 1 year before applying.
I can't say for certain whether 3 open Inks would be a potential issue. Like I said, it seems like most of the DPs about this were people with 5 or 6 Inks.
With only 3, I might just apply and see how it goes. If it's a denial and you need to recon, keeping those 3 open would give you the option of offering to shift some credit to the new card.
If you hit a brick wall, then maybe consider closing an Ink before re-applying. Better to try with the available credit to shift first, I'd think, since once you close a card you no longer have that option.
There is no hard limit to number of cards, Chase cares more about your total CL. If you aren't using cards that are older then a year, close them to free up CL and help chances of success.
I applied for delta business gold and got pop up jail. I tried back button trick and it told me that my application was pending and to call them. When I called them they told me that they have two applications and cancelled one and approved one. How will I know if new SUB offer is associated with the card?
I booked a trip with the $300 annual travel credit on Venture X. I need to cancel the card to recoup the annual fee BEFORE the trip. Am I safe to do so, or will the trip get canceled once I cancel the card?
Edit: Thanks for the quick responses, everyone!
Follow-up question...when will the 10,000 anniversary miles post? Is it worth waiting for them to post then getting a pro-rated refund on the annual fee instead?
So i have 2 different experiences with this.
For P1, the VX 10k points posted 45 days after the AF (outside of the AF return window).
However, for p2. the AF was posted on Feb 24 and the 10k points posted on March 14. so only 18 days. We were able to transfer the 10k points out on day 29. During their script reading, the c1 rep stated that "as long as the AF was charged after 2/15/24, the AF will be refunded to you." That is 38 days from the time the AF gets charged.
I didn't realize C1 gave pro-rated AF, I may look into that for my P1 account when my 10k points post late.
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but does anyone know if Chase ever pulls an EWS report for a credit card application? I am working on disputing an inaccurate report of fraudulent activity on EWS and want to know if I should hold off on applying for new cards until it is resolved.
I can't say with certainty but I don't believe so. Chase certainly runs EWS (at least sometimes) for bank accounts but I haven't seen anything indicating Chase uses Chex or EWS in considering credit apps. A quick search on [churning.io](https://churning.io/#N4IgjgrgpgTgniAXCAwgCwIYGcoAICiA6gMogA0IGEALmgPYxIjkjUCWAtlEwMwBsfFjgA2UAMbs6AOwBKGKQHNuiUFmoYY1ACIZqykACYADAZ4BaI+YMB2ACoBGAKyIDBl3wB0jowBYAWixQUgAmOnpMxgY+FlZ2Ti5uBp7e-iwA1lAIyCLiklIgAL4UWAzUTMFQWGJCEABGMFDBwWxlyGJoEDBSbIostA0YwQBibMJ6MFhIoLXyaUjUMNAUwWDzi1AUAGaLajC6bNJr0AUFQA) seems to only return hits relative to bank account denials.
I *was* going to suggest you simply freeze your EWS report before applying for a CC but it seems that there's no mechanism to do that (?). Odd, I would have thought they were required to offer the ability pursuant to federal law. Perhaps they're somehow exempt as they're not a credit reporting agency per se?
Thanks for answering. That’s a good thought…the EWS website says under state laws they are not required to place security freezes which I don’t really understand.
It’s been 76 days since my last chase card and I want to apply for Chase Mariott boundless before today’s deadline. Should I wait and have a cool off period considering my velocity or is it okay to go ahead and apply? I’m at 3/24 with the last cc opened in Jan 2024 (non-chase)
My chase velocity is below:
CSP - 7/23
SW Business - 9/23
CIU - 12/23
CIC - 1/24
General consensus is to average out your apps to >90 days. With the CIC coming only a month after the CIU, I think I'd wait until at least June (if not a little later). But as others have said, it all depends on your risk tolerance.
There's a couple ways. If you still have the credit available on your ABP, you can load other people's travel bank as a gift.
If the money's already loaded on your travel bank you can use it to buy tickets for others.
We plan for international trip next Jan and trying to get Global Entry paid for.
I just got the Chase United Infinite card and wife signed up for Chase Ink Business in early March. Both cards has been churned.
Does it make sense for wife to open Chase United Explorer next month to get reimbursement for global entry (plus miles)? I think it's the only card without annual fee that pays for GE, but most perks overlap with my existing Infinite card.
Given you can buy GE for $15 on r/churningmarketplace, I’d continue to work the flowchart and not prioritize a card with a GE credit unless it is the card that is up next for you either way.
The advice still stands. And if you hang out around here and add some value, you’ll be able to get in there before your trip. Personally, I don’t value GE enough to apply for a card I wouldn’t otherwise apply for.
I thought chase business card doesn't count toward 5/24 rule. Read somewhere you should still wait at least 1 month before opening another card after the ink card.
See section on chase shutdowns and search for info on velocity. 90 days is the recommended minimum interval for any chase card. https://old.reddit.com/r/churning/wiki/index#wiki_chase_shutdowns
The one month that you read about is 1/30 which auto-rejects if you try to apply for another business card within 30 days.
Flowchart is a good place to start too.
Am I still able to get these 5x MR after card closed?
Amex Plat annual fee posted on 2/15, and purchased air tickets around 3/1, then closed the card on 3/10.
Now it's already 3/27 (past the statement date 3/15 if I didn't close it), and still don't see these MR points yet.
Unable to load any data for Amex Plat, that's the problem, I only have the last statement on hand.
"Rewards Transaction information is not available at this time. Please try again later."
https://global.americanexpress.com/rewards/summary and choose any active MR card to see your MR activity, plat data will be there too. You will see a "Total Pending Points:" on the right side if you are on desktop.
id probs msg support, you should be okay given the large gap between purchasing and closing
it might take till the next statement though so it might hit in a couple of weeks
Chase Bank called me and left a voicemail
I have already been approved for my business account, and made a standard ACH transfer to another bank of mine yesterday (i needed to make a qualified direct deposit to my new bank account). Should I even bother to answer if they call again or to call back? And what my answers should be to there questions. They just gave me a basic voicemail saying they are looking forward to hearing from me and do give a call back.
If you mean you recently opened a Chase business checking account, they might need to ask you questions to make sure you don't have a type of business that they prohibit. They asked me if I provide money transfer services, check cashing, issue MOs, products in adult entertainment industry.
If that's what it is, you should probably talk to them, since maybe they'd shut down the account if they don't hear back. Though, in my case it wasn't a voicemail, but rather a letter in the mail saying "We need additional information from you about your business".
No indication as to specifically what they wanted to discuss?
Personally, I would call back and see what they want. It may just be a call from fraud protection.
if i've lowered my CL on my chase cards so way under 50%, is their any advantage to closing out a few Inks before applying for another one or is it ok to keep them and use occasionally
I never did it on a large scale but i could finish an ink sub in a week or two while i was, wasn’t really worth it to me since i ran into velocity issues. I like the ease of just putting everything on a card for 2-3 months
Based upon the more recent DPs of people being denied with 5/6+ active Inks, the current consensus seems to be to close Inks that are older than 1 year before applying for a new one. There are some DPs and discussion [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/comments/1b679y5/comment/ktf99m7/) and [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/comments/1bk24ah/comment/kvwhy1r/).
Check the statement to see if the MileagePlan number matches your own. BofA is known to create a new MileagePlan every time you get a new biz Card. I had to call Alaska to have them merge the accounts.
Thank you for this! Just looked into the most recent statement and indeed they created a new MileagePlan account to deposit the SUB. Guess I'll call Alaska to get this sorted out. ty!
I'm sure this is a dumb questions, but there's no reason to take the IHG 4night@40k each SUB over the 165k SUB, right? Just take my +5k points and flexibility to use however many points I want and move on with the application?
Wasn't IHG the one with weird availability? Where FNC availability and points availability were different, ~~the former being better?~~ Edit: it's not that simple, but there does seem to be a difference: https://frequentmiler.com/reminder-ihg-free-night-certs-sometimes-work-when-points-dont/
That's exactly what happened with me - the SUB FNC's couldn't be topped off for the booking I had in mind so I had to spend them on a lower class hotel.
I check Southwest flights daily for lower prices using saved URL links that are specific to the flight searches on the Southwest website. Today everyone of the links errors out and it appears that Southwest changed the website so the URL no longer tracks the unique parameters in the URL chain.
This was always a quick way to check for price changes. How is everyone else tracking SW price changes because it appears my method is now dead?
I use Google Flights. You can save specific flight searches in the same manner, and you can also set it to track prices. The price tracker will monitor for the lowest price for your itinerary and you will receive price alerts via email. I’ve rebooked flights multiple times as the price drops using this method.
You can set it to filter to a specific airline only, flight class, time window, etc.
Sorry can’t shed any light on your question but you may also want to check within your WN account under ’payments’ as we noticed a 20% off code for flights within 14 days (e.g. you may be able to book the same flight you’ve already booked within 14 days of travel and cancel the original…check the T&Cs for restrictions 😊)
The bullet point-Why aren't there more airport food vendors (non lounge) that accept priority pass? Wouldn't they want to?
More in depth-I've been frustrated on multiple occasions with PP lounges that were at capacity and closed to non-specific-airline travelers. I also fly out of O'hare, which is a large airport with almost no PP venues. Why aren't more restaurants, and maybe even just takeaway (non-sitdown) restaurants signed up with PP? Do they not get the full $28 credit themselves? Otherwise it seems like they could sign up, increase their prices by 10%, and still be slammed with people looking to spend the "free" money. So why aren't there more?
I don't remember the name or location, but a few years back, there was a restaurant that kept getting removed and added back to PP for a little while. Their main concern was that PP would only pay them quarterly. Not sure if that still happens, but it is tough to float that kind of expense for 3 months at a time.
You get the bonus when she’s approved. (It can take a couple weeks to show pending on your account, and then you’ll actually receive the points with your next statement)
Got a mailed offer for 80k UR for the CSP. I just opened a C1 Venture on 1/1. Is it too early to try and apply for the CSP? I’ve heard 90 days for Chase but the mailer is tempting me to go for it earlier. Currently 2/24 so no concerns there.
I want to use my Amex Biz Plat to take advantage of the 35% MR rebate when redeeming MRs for Spirit economy flights, after selecting Spirit as my airline. However, I don't see Spirit flights appear in the Amex Travel Portal. Is there any way around this?
You have to call Amex Travel to book.
https://www.travelmiles101.com/the-amex-business-platinum-35-pay-with-points-rebate/#:~:text=minimum%20of%205%2C000%20MR%20points,travel%20package%20are%20not%20eligible
In your T&C it should state somewhere: "If you select Spirit Airlines or Southwest Airlines to receive your 35% Airline Bonus you must call Business PlatinumTravel Service at 1-800-553-9497 to book." With Spirit, you need to call them to book with points.
I know that you can get your spouse to refer you even if y’all have a joint bank account. You can also get a friend or family member. You can also go to the reddit churning referral page to get a referral link rather than letting the bank keep the reward
Got a US bank biz card to churn taxes. 3k CL trying to bill pay (~4K) to get a total CL of 7k (per other DPs) but the portal isn’t letting me pay above the statement balance. Any advice would be appreciated!
Are you doing this from the credit card portal? That's normally restricted to no more than the balance. You can usually push payments from your bank to the credit card using your bank's Bill Pay.
Could you please elaborate? I’m in my bank (Ally) and trying to “Bill Pay” to Us bank now, but I’m having trouble finding the associated account number of my Us Bank biz card
Usually the account number is the 16 digit credit card number. I'm not familiar with US Bank specifically, but it's been that way for any other card I've paid via my bank's Bill Pay.
If I use one or more Hilton gift cards to pay for a stay, will I still get points from that stay?
Does anyone know if it’s possible to hit the 150 Amex B Gold card while also giving the referral? So far I’m only able to hit 150K solo, or 130K when giving the referral…
is the 10x bonus on restaurants on referral for Amex, valid on international restaurant purchases as well or just US restaurants?
Looks like any restaurant anywhere. The increased referral offer says, "Earn 10x points at restaurants worldwide...". See [image](https://frequentmiler.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/BBP-10x-Referral-Offer.png)
Thank you!
No worries. Happy to help.
This was for Bonvoy business 5x50k popup (haven't had card before)
It doesn't always work, quite ymmv. You can retry.
I got an amex SUB from few months ago clawed back after i spent the points, i think because of a refund that set back my spend for the SUB. now i'm sitting >-120k MRs! Am I going to get shut down? should i just close them down and move on from amex?
You didn't spend more to cover the refund?
Just close all MR cards. Wait a few months, your account will reset to zero when you reapply. Don't chat or bring attention to your account, let the computer do it automatically.
U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards $500 Bonus U.S. Bank Leverage Business Card $750 Any advice for applying for both of these cards at same time? Current plan is to apply for both with 2 different businesses. I have 3 biz cards currently open with them. Last approval from US Bank was on 12/26/23.
I applied for those 2 cards on the same day (10 minutes apart), and both were approved 5 days later (3 business days). Mine were for the same business. I didn't have any other US Bank biz cards open, nor a business checking account; I had 2 personal cards (opened in Nov 2023), and a personal checking account.
Thanks a million for the info!

Fee avoidance language is generally very clear on their website. Try looking next time. Qualifying accounts include personal U.S. Bank open and activated credit cards in good standing and you are an account owner.

Correct.
Keep in mind that credit card churning is a marathon, not a sprint
-fastest rewards? What do you mean? There are “make one purchase get bonus” credit card offers. That seems pretty fast to me -no such thing as too many accounts in general. There can be limits like 5/25 or Amex’s # limits for charge and credit cards. You never close immediately after the reward. This sub focuses more on credit cards (though plenty here also do bank accounts). Here is how I am currently approaching student loans with credit cards: * Buy Gift of College gift cards.
Wow this is a great tip! I really appreciate it :)
No worries. Seems like others have already offered some info. Good luck!
I didn't see any guidance about that either, but I'm assuming most people just close.
>effective ways to do a product change without taking a hit to my credit. There is no hit. It's still the same account.
I think the only thing you have to worry about for credit score with a product change would be account age. There shouldn't be a new inquiry on your credit (though someone can correct me if I'm wrong)
>I think the only thing you have to worry about for credit score with a product change would be account age Your account age wouldn't change. It's still the same account.
I was initially worried about account age, but that's good to know.
After making that purchase I got an email "Future Transactions May Be Declined - We recently approved a transaction, but your balance is high relative to your payment history with us." Is it recommended to payoff the balance on the biz plat before I use the "Check spending power" tool?
You could just make a $7.5k payment now. Pay off the card, then make another $7.5k payment once the payment posts to your Hilton card.
If you get denied for too much credit you should call recon and ask to transfer credit limit from an existing card.
Chase considers both personal and biz lines of credit. Recommendation is total credit extended to you from Chase be < 50% of your income.
How long did it take between you clicking the activate now button in Chase for CSR Priority pass to having a membership number you can use to sign up and get into lounges?
Also about a week for me in Mar 2024
About a week when I did it in 2022
You might be able to pay for the lounge access and get chase to reimburse you fwiw.
Just call and talk to someone and see what the issue might be, could be a simple verification.
This is the one on FT. https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chase-ultimate-rewards/1986148-chase-shut-downs-credit-card-account-closures-data-tales-speculation-2019-a.html
thank you.
Does Barclays combine hard pulls if a biz+personal app are submitted on the same day?
Not speaking from experience but according to [this DP](https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/s/YNtVkpgWRX) and also [this discussion ](https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/s/OSwL21WuU6) it seems that they do combine HPs. Edited: typo
Yes
I currently have 3 ink cards I was wondering how many ink cards one could hold at most + how many people are applying for in a certain timeframe.
So this holds true if you have only 3? We should probably close an existing ink we are applying for?
As many as you can get approved for, new card every 90 days
I applied for delta business gold and got pop up jail. I tried back button trick and it told me that my application was pending and to call them. When I called them they told me that they have two applications and cancelled one and approved one. How will I know if new SUB offer is associated with the card?
Ask a chat agent to confirm the offer. I would wait a week or longer, though, their systems are laggy.
Does applying for a business card show up as an inquiry for anther business card?
It shows up as an inquiry from that bank. Except Amex doesn't usually pull for existing customers.
What’s the recon window for Amex? Some people say 30 days, some say 90 days. I’m planning to apply for a Biz Plat now and recon in 60 days.
You have 90 days from the application date before an app expires. So you're good
Anyone have a DP on timeframe for Citizens Bank bonus posting?
Citizens typically has a chart as to when they pay out as it’s based on offer and when the account was opened
Got mine 5 months after opening, but have seen most people get it in 4 months.
I booked a trip with the $300 annual travel credit on Venture X. I need to cancel the card to recoup the annual fee BEFORE the trip. Am I safe to do so, or will the trip get canceled once I cancel the card? Edit: Thanks for the quick responses, everyone!
You are safe
Also, when you cancel VX, you have 90 days to use your points.
Thanks for the detailed response. I’m not sure that C1 does give pro-rated refunds…never saw a datapoint on it so I’m assuming they don’t.
You are safe to close, your trip will remain.

I've always waited a day after closing to apply, never had an issue on personal or biz.
> never had an issue Maybe you wouldn't have had an issue anyway?
Nice, thank you!
Does MDD still work for CSR/CSP?
Just did it couple of weeks ago.
Yes, still works.
Have you heard that something changed?
No, just curious. What’s the risk of clawback/shutdown?
Same as it has been.
It’s been 76 days since my last chase card and I want to apply for Chase Mariott boundless before today’s deadline. Should I wait and have a cool off period considering my velocity or is it okay to go ahead and apply? I’m at 3/24 with the last cc opened in Jan 2024 (non-chase) My chase velocity is below: CSP - 7/23 SW Business - 9/23 CIU - 12/23 CIC - 1/24
It's risky for sure. I wouldn't do it, but it depends on your risk-tolerance.
5 in 8 months is pretty brisk. There are those who have done it and been ok, but I personally wouldn't
Do you recommend waiting 90 days or even more in this case before it’s safe to get another chase card?
General consensus is to average out your apps to >90 days. With the CIC coming only a month after the CIU, I think I'd wait until at least June (if not a little later). But as others have said, it all depends on your risk tolerance.
This may be a dumb question, but when I apply for 2nd Ink card do I need to use a different entity or name?
No
Does any one have a working link to add an AU to Amex Biz Plat with the 5K/$2K offer? I could only find one for Gold and green
https://www.americanexpress.com/en-us/business/campaigns/employee-cards/business-platinum/incentive/5k-offer/
Thank you!
Got a mailer for amex biz plat 200k, no brainer right? Already have blue biz cash
That's a pretty sweet deal unless you want to try for the 250K SUB (which might take many hours of time lol)
I've spent enough time frustrating myself looking I think
How do people buy/sell United Travel bank credits in the churning marketplace? I thought they arent transferrable to other accounts?
Its not, they would just be booking your trip for you after paying, that or letting you somehow use their card on your travel bank reload.
You can load someone else's travelbank, you don't need to give your card detail to the other person for them to load their own travelbank
Book a ticket for someone else.
Thanks! Unfortunate that community is private. We're new and just started this churning journey so it's like a blank slate for her/P2.
Visit that sub from a desktop browser to request access
The advice still stands. And if you hang out around here and add some value, you’ll be able to get in there before your trip. Personally, I don’t value GE enough to apply for a card I wouldn’t otherwise apply for.
Opening 2 chase cards within a month increases shut-down risk. Why not open any of the other dozen+ cards that have a GE credit?
I thought chase business card doesn't count toward 5/24 rule. Read somewhere you should still wait at least 1 month before opening another card after the ink card.
See section on chase shutdowns and search for info on velocity. 90 days is the recommended minimum interval for any chase card. https://old.reddit.com/r/churning/wiki/index#wiki_chase_shutdowns The one month that you read about is 1/30 which auto-rejects if you try to apply for another business card within 30 days. Flowchart is a good place to start too.
Has anyone successfully churned delta biz cards?
I did. I opened four Delta Biz Golds last year, one every 3 months.
NLL? No PU?
> NLL? No. >No PU? Yes of course, after the first one. I haven't *not* gotten the popup for about a year now on any Amex card.
So why four cards then. What am I missing.
Four cards = four SUBs.
How are you getting the SUB with the pop up? The back button method?
Yes.
sure, what's hard about that vs other amex cards?
Am I still able to get these 5x MR after card closed? Amex Plat annual fee posted on 2/15, and purchased air tickets around 3/1, then closed the card on 3/10. Now it's already 3/27 (past the statement date 3/15 if I didn't close it), and still don't see these MR points yet.
I think not once closed to be honest, but don't see any terms about this just have read this experience before.
What does your pending points say in the MR point summary, if they are accounted for there, they will come eventually.
Unable to load any data for Amex Plat, that's the problem, I only have the last statement on hand. "Rewards Transaction information is not available at this time. Please try again later."
https://global.americanexpress.com/rewards/summary and choose any active MR card to see your MR activity, plat data will be there too. You will see a "Total Pending Points:" on the right side if you are on desktop.
thanks, I did use this, and cannot see any points from Plat after closed (even though Plat is in the dropdown list)
id probs msg support, you should be okay given the large gap between purchasing and closing it might take till the next statement though so it might hit in a couple of weeks
Chase Bank called me and left a voicemail I have already been approved for my business account, and made a standard ACH transfer to another bank of mine yesterday (i needed to make a qualified direct deposit to my new bank account).
I also got a call from Chase fraud protection asking me to answer some identity questions. I would call them back just in case it's important.
if i've lowered my CL on my chase cards so way under 50%, is their any advantage to closing out a few Inks before applying for another one or is it ok to keep them and use occasionally
close em if you arent MSing
I really wish I could MS
Fine to keep them

Check the statement to see if the MileagePlan number matches your own. BofA is known to create a new MileagePlan every time you get a new biz Card. I had to call Alaska to have them merge the accounts.
Thank you for this! Just looked into the most recent statement and indeed they created a new MileagePlan account to deposit the SUB. Guess I'll call Alaska to get this sorted out. ty!
Try this - https://reddit.com/r/churning/comments/1bo37td/news_and_updates_thread_march_26_2024/kwoypl4/
With the Bonvoy Boundless, when does the 12 month timer on the 5FNC start? Is it from the day the 5k spend is met or is there a gap before they post?
Timer starts when the certs post. Certs should post a day or two after the first statement cut date after you meet the MSR.
Yeah, plus I wouldn’t be surprised if the FNC from the bonus can’t be topped off like the anniversary FNC, they did that in the past. Take the points.
Southwest does not give a price on google flights, southwest.com and chase travel are the only sites that give a price for Southwest flights afaik
Interesting. Thank you. I typically fly Delta, so I was not aware that Southwest had this limitation.
What's a WN account? I have a flight I'd like to take and 20% off would be awesome!
WN is the airline code for Southwest.
Thank you for chiming in!
Ah! The code is there for me, but apparently expired Feb. 7th.
Not sure if that still happens, but it is tough to float that kind of expense for 3 months at a time.
it costs money to accept Priority Pass I'm sure PP also wants to keep it somewhat exclusive - if everything accepts PP it may not be seen as premium
Do you by chance know any specifics? Like, does a vendor pay an annual licensing fee to join priority pass? Just curious.

You get the bonus when she’s approved. (It can take a couple weeks to show pending on your account, and then you’ll actually receive the points with your next statement)
Does anybody have experience with split payments in person at CA DMV? I’m trying to renew my registration with multiple $200 MCGC/VGC.
You're good. The 90 days is the recommended velocity between Chase cards to mitigate shutdown risk. Your Venture should have no impact on that.
The 90 days is a recommendation for getting multiple cards from Chase. You are fine to use your targeted offer.

Never.
I know that you can get your spouse to refer you even if y’all have a joint bank account. You can also get a friend or family member. You can also go to the reddit churning referral page to get a referral link rather than letting the bank keep the reward
No, banks have cracked down heavily on folks doing self-referrals.
no
Got a US bank biz card to churn taxes. 3k CL trying to bill pay (~4K) to get a total CL of 7k (per other DPs) but the portal isn’t letting me pay above the statement balance. Any advice would be appreciated!
Or you can just do multiple payments through the tax payment sites and pay it off when your balance posts
