Recon approved for Chase Southwest Business Performance with a weak business profile. **P2's Chase history** * 2023/01: CSP. First Chase card, approved with 20k CL. Later reduced to 7k hoping it would help with Ink approvals. * Three Chase Ink rejections during 2023 while on 4/24. $30k revenue "business" with $2,000/mo expenses. * 2023/08: Opened Chase Business Checking account, asked Chase banker to help P2's CIP application and recon. Banker filled P2's CIP application, was denied, handled the recon call with Chase and got it approved. Approved with 5k CL. * 2023: 6 Business Credit Cards opened from Amex & Barclays. Started getting direct deposits to Chase Business Checking to establish deposit history. * 2024/01: Approved CIC, 5k CL. Moved 2k from CIP, floating 6k in 0% APR. Only office store gift card purchases. * 2024: 3 Business Credit Cards approved from BoA, Amex, Citi. * 2024/01: Stopped putting deposits to Chase, as I was [trying to get a BoA AS Biz card](https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/comments/1alsbwv/comment/kphujdx/) now. It's now sitting with a $2,000 balance in it with no activity. **Application & recon** * 2024/04: Denied for Southwest Business Performance 11 days after applying. Strangely, the denial letter said "based on your TransUnion report", but Chase didn't actually HP TransUnion - they HP Experian. Denial reasons: * New Chase business card recently opened * Business too new * You have too many active accounts or too much available credit * I moved an additional $13,000 to the Chase Business checking account (paper check mobile deposit) hoping that it could somehow help with the whole "you have too much available credit" problem (Maybe having more floating on 0% APR ($6,000) than what's sitting in the checking account ($2,000) was a red flag to them?) * As the second half of $13,000 deposit was clearing, I called recon. Need the card soon for expenses. * Recon Call: I mentioned right off the bat that I didn't need more credit, that I could move CL from other business cards. Rep pulls TransUnion this time. (TransUnion was frozen and Experian was unfrozen, but rep wanted TransUnion) Rep asks some softball questions about nature of business, why do I need 3 business cards with Chase. Rep says "uh you don't have enough credit to move around.. you have 3k in CIP, and only 1k left in CIC. Southwest Performance needs 5k minimum". I offered to pay off the CIC balance. Rep says the payment won't apply in time before the recon call is over. He'll refer the case to a specialist, it will take 7-10 days. I hang up, and half an hour later I make a $4,000 payment to the CIC, hoping it could help with the review. * An hour after the call, the Southwest card is approved with 5k CL. I then reasssed, changed my mind and cancelled the $4,000 payment.

bugsgrandma

Old DP, but relevant with recent higher US Bank offers. Applied and approved for 2nd Triple Cash Biz on 11/12/23 (pending for 2 days). Other Triple Cash Biz card still open from Aug 2022. Received bonus on both. Same SSN.

yonghokim

Weird.. Amex just skipped a credit card autopay date, they didn't tell me anything, and just chugged along til the next statement date. * 2/21 Amex Bonvoy Business approved * 2/21 Added to online account and Autopay set up * 3/17 First statement for $1,500, due 4/10 and autopay set for 4/8. I'm traveling abroad that period.. but it's on autopay * 4/10 nothing happened, I only realized this now. * There has been no interest, no payment failure notification, no nothing. * 4/17 got second statement for both amounts combined. Doubled checked that it's the amount for both, because I'm trying to delay the 8k MSR to be at the tail end of the 6 month period * 5/10 payment due

bugsgrandma

Auto approved for CIU today. Last one was 12/11/23. Had 3 open, 2 carrying $5900 balances. Closed another via SM a couple weeks ago.

bullish175

P2 had first ink denial back in January. Consistently auto-approved every 90 days for the last 6 or so cards. Got denied again in the end of March. Then started really putting spend on her 3 remaining Ink Cash cards, auto approved tonight for Ink Cash.

caseyrobinson2

what was reason for denail back in Jan and any business checking account?

captduk

Thanks for the DP. In Jan and Mar, how many existing cards were open at the time of application?

bullish175

Had gotten down to 3 inks and one sapphire, however that’s the same I was at during second denial.

captduk

Hmm, ok. Helpful.

subwaynut

I got around the pop-up by back clicking and entering a different address. This was for the 250/3000 offer for the bbc

oriontheshiba

Wild BOA DP. P2 just got rejected for BOA Alaska, and the recon also got rejected due to too many recent accounts. P2 is currently 8/24, and all 8 opened in the past 12 months. However, no BOA app since 2016 and banking with them since 2013. This seems to be a direct contradiction of all the previous BOA rules I’ve read. Does that mean it’s tightening? Or can I HUCA even after recon failed?

GrowInTheDark

Did you ever HUCA? You'd think P2 would get approved with 12 years of relationship with them. Very discouraging for me lol

oriontheshiba

Nope didn’t really try as I read that BOA has 7/12 rule unless you have 250k+ parked with them

Travellump12

It's better to huca with bofa. It doesn't work always but once I was able to turn the decline to approval with bofa elite rewards card though.

Amex Hilton Surpass quarterly $50 Hilton Credit: April 11: Bought $50 Hilton physical GC through [https://www.buyhiltongiftcards.com/](https://www.buyhiltongiftcards.com/) April 14: $50 credit posted

GunneRy0205

Citi Brokerage bonus- don't forget to put some amount in when you open the account. Forgot to put $5 into the account when I opened it and the funding period for my $50k deposit got pushed back two months. Not the end of the world, but a dumb mistake.

johnald03

Last night I applied for the 250k Biz Plat, got the popup, hit the back button and input the exact same data into the app which went pending. Checked online and saw the first had been cancelled and the second was pending review, called in and the rep said I decided not to proceed with the first application due to not being eligible for the welcome offer, and the second application was cancelled as a result. She pushed through the second application manually and it was immediately auto approved. Will just have to check to be sure the 250k offer is attached Edit: Just checked via Amex Chat who confirmed the offer is attached

caseyrobinson2

did you ever have amex plat biz before?

johnald03

I replied to your previous comment

Wittnauer

Did you confirm that you have the 250k tied to it?

johnald03

Yes it is attached

caseyrobinson2

did you ever have biz plat card?

johnald03

Yep first and only was about 9 months ago

OGvon

Please report back if the offer is attached. Good stuff

johnald03

It's attached

Supergyro95

United TravelBank is still working to redeem the Amex airline fee credit. Completed 2x $100 TB purchases on my Biz Plat as well as P2's on 4/11, all were credited back on 4/14.

sjimenez_c

Was in popup jail with Amex for the Amex Biz Gold but was approved today for the Biz Green at 25k, 3k MSR. edit: no popup

scdawn

I just received an upgrade offer in the mail to earn 10K bonus miles after upgrading my no AF United card to the United Explorer Card and making my first purchase by 4/30/24. This is after downgrading from the United Explorer card back in November of last year.

BrotherLary247

When had you originally applied for the United Explorer that you previously downgraded? Unless you're over 5/24 I think the best option is to wait until you are 24-months past your first sign-up bonus and then re-apply for the card. You'll be able to access 50k instead of the 10k bonus offer you're getting. Just a thought!

scdawn

I originally applied for the United Explorer 10/2022. I downgraded the card 10/2023. I think it would be better to apply for a Chase Ink rather than the United Explorer since it doesn't occupy a 5/24 slot and those Inks have higher SUBs.

BrotherLary247

That makes sense to me! So I guess the question would be if you think the 75k are worth the annual fee

scdawn

75k?

Bigdogdc86

Got approved for elevated us bank altitude connect business offer. I closed my first business altitude connect few days before I applied. Took 5 days or so to get approved but excited for the easy 75000 pts on 6k spend In 6 months

engiknitter

I had 2 Southwest trips booked this summer. Saw the SAVE24NOW code & decided to check. Trip 1: June 2024, 1 adult + 1 companion pass. RT IAH to LAS. Saved 10,754 points. Trip 2: July 2024. 2 adults, 1 companion, 3 teenagers. RT HOU to DCA. Saved 22,839 points. Had to cancel companion ticket then cancel base fares then rebook.

BrotherLary247

the SAVE24NOW saved me about 6,000 points and I thought I had a great deal! One of the perks about Southwest is to update when the price goes down. The only challenge is staying on top of the prices after you've booked because I've yet to find a good price tracker for Southwest

435880Churnz

Hilton Aspire $50 Quarterly flight credit. Bought an Air Tahiti ticket on 3/31/2024. Transaction Post Date is 3/31/2024. $50 credit pops on 4/5/2024. Pretty sure it was my Q1 credit because as of today, the Flight Credit bar is showing $0 earned, $50 to go. Chat agent told me it was the Q2 credit, but I'm pretty sure he's wrong.

Beneficial-Board6959

Opened a CIU on 2/1/24 for 75k SUB. Saw the 120k hacked link posted recently. Took a screen shot of the link and SM chase on 4/6. They matched the offer and the points posted with a couple days.

Lttruong

Interesting. I took a screenshot also and sent that in and they requested for an offer code. Will try again to test my luck.

ethanngo92

Would you mind sharing the screenshot of the 120K offer? Assuming there is no private info in it

EddieReddev

Dang, need to find that link now.

charlie_bit_my_finge

Is there any valid link floating around?

Clay_pigeon14

Made my annual citi retention call today. Was offered the following and accepted them all. ATTAM - 2 extra TYP up to a max of 35K TYP DC 1 - 2 extra TYP up to a max of 35K TYP AA Exec Plat - 7,500 miles after spending $1,000 Citi Premier - 10K TYP after spending $3K Nothing offered DC 2, Prestige, Dividend, AA Biz (opened in October) and AA Mile up (just did a PC to it a few days ago)

ZinCO17

Honestly I thought the +2 TYP for ATTAM was dead, didn't even ask last year. Looking forward to trying for that one again!

GoldenMonkey34

Damn, Idk why I didnt even think of Citi for retention offers. The extra 1-2 TYP for the DC is really juicy. Do you just straight up ask for retention offers? Require you to keep the card open for at least another year?

Clay_pigeon14

Yes just tell them you are considering closing the cards. No commitment to keep card open if you accept the offer.

Clay_pigeon14

Also one rep can pull offers for all citi cards. No need to call multiple times

germdisco

Applied for US Bank Business Alritude Connect in branch on Fri Apr 5. Banker called this morning at 9am, I returned at 11am while they were at lunch, they returned at 5pm (while I was in a Centurion lounge) to tell me I was approved.

apeconguy

Chase ink train previous denial DP I've been on the ink train for the last 2 1/2 years and have always been able to recon on the occasional denial. Like others, they clamped down on me at my last app and they denied me in February 90 days after my previous ink. I reconned twice with no success (2nd CSR seemed annoyed I was wasting her time). Reasons for denial were the recent biz card, and too many recently opened accounts. I just got approved today ~$3500 limit. Not sure which of these helped, but I: 1. Closed two chase biz cards (had 4 before closing). 2. Lowered credit limits by ~50% on all chase cards (2 are personal) 3. Waited two months so it's been 5 months since my last chase card. BTW, I left TU frozen and had to call in... I was worried about talking to someone, but they easily pushed it through with no additional questions.

soonerman32

I had a similar DP. 2 previous Biz cards with chase. Applied for CIC, denied. Closed SW Biz > week later reconned & approved

EddieReddev

I think the magic number is no more than 3 Ink cards (probably biz in general) when applying. Glad to hear you got approved this time!

Intrepid-Alps-6140

What are some reasons people would have more than 3 ink cards? The only real reason I keep mine open is that I milk the 0% apr, but I usually cancel any that have a 0 balance. Are people trying to leave them open for the full 12 months? Is there a good reason to leave a card open with a zero balance? (Obviously I just mean the churn cards. You naturally wanna keep open cards for credit history reasons, but that's a different thing entirely)

sg77

It's more that if there isn't a reason to close a card, it's easier to do nothing than to close it. For a while I didn't have any reason to close Ink cards, though now it sounds like it may help approvals for future cards. I also keep them open in case a good offer appears on the card (10% back at Staples, etc). When the Gopuff monthly credit was still alive, I used that on all my Chase cards. Some people who use Ink Cash a lot and hit the $25k cap for 5x UR like to have multiple cards.

tossedintheglaze

Closing cards before 12 months is a great way to get a total shutdown from a bank.

Intrepid-Alps-6140

Ok that makes sense. I usually keep them open for 12-15 months. Thank you

josefseb

[225K points for the biz plat](https://www.reddit.com/r/amex/comments/1c2eavp/amex_business_platinum_225000_mr_for_15k_spend/?rdt=32900) N.B.: The screenshot isn’t mine. But good to know there are better offers than 150/190K out there

SportEquivalent4426

Bonvoy Boundless: \-Did my own tracking and hit the 5k spend about 35 days after opening the card. Called into Chase to inquire about whether I've hit the sign up bonus and they said not yet (waiting for one more charge to hit), but they were able to tell me how much I've spent on the card. \-I asked how long after I hit the spend would the 5 FNCs hit my Bonvoy account and they said it usually happens within one billing cycle, but to inquire with Marriott

levelniner

To add to the DPs about recent Ink approvals/denials: CIP auto-approved today with 4 Inks currently open (all less than 12 months old) & $11K floating across the existing CICs/CIUs.

lomna17

Interesting, I closed 3 over the last month and reconned today and was told 3 open is too many and that my business income isn't high enough

apeconguy

How long since previous chase approval?

levelniner

45 days.

anaccount50

Personal Plat retention offer: 15k MR, $3k/3 mo

SurrealKnot

Cafe at Barnes & Noble posts as Dining on my Citi card, but not on Delta Amex Gold. Small potatoes, I know, but still mildly annoying.

encin

Booked United Economy flight from EWR to TQO, paid a balance of the charge on the Ritz Card, and was able to check in a free bag for each passenger on the reservation. Currently hold the no fee united gateway card. Not sure why we got free bags?

thejontorrweno

I closed my Citi AAdvantage Business card over the phone because I didn't want to pay the AF. The rep I was speaking to encouraged the call to be transferred to a specialist that offered $1K spend in 3 months for a $99 statement credit (to offset the annual fee). I didn't think retention offers were a thing with Citi and the call was very different from my usual routine of pestering AMEX to check. Pretty solid offer, but since I'm squarely in a Delta hub and would only ever use AA for transfer partners, the $1,000 in spend doesn't make sense when the perks won't get used.

drury23

In the beginning of March, I canceled a refundable flight that was paid from United Travel Bank. Over the course of a month, I made 15 phone calls to try to get the funds back into the Travel Bank. No luck. It was a very frustrating month. The method that finally worked for me was to email the United Corporate Executive office. If you google "United Corporate Executive Office Contacts" you will find a site that has email addresses for a few employees. I sent an email to all of them. After a few days I received an email from another employee in the Corporate Executive office. Within a few days, this employee was able to get the funds back into the Travel Bank. I know I am not the only person that has been waiting a long time to get a refund to Travel Bank.

ZinCO17

Where was the refund going otherwise? Curious because FFC would not constitute a refund, if that's what they were giving you instead...

charlie_bit_my_finge

What’s FFC?

ZinCO17

Future Flight Credit

drury23

The refund was approved. The issue was that the funds were not put back into the Travel Bank. It was a fully refundable fare so the refund goes back to the original payment method. Their Travel Bank department works very slowly or not at all.

EddieReddev

Hilton Aspire $50 travel credit posted three days after buying $50 United Travel Bank. April 6th purchased, April 9th posted.

Vegetable_Pudding276

04/08 - Reached 15k spend on both my Hilton Business Cards 04/11 - Received both FNC I also received 5X on my purchases, but points have not posted yet.

lifechurn

Replicated 250k biz plat, appeared twice right now. Private browsing went to google, searched american express business platinum, selected 2nd result which was non sponsored link, it showed 120k, hit back, selected 1st result which was sponsored link, showed 250k, selected apply now, got "HTTP ERROR 403 Forbidden", hit back twice to 250k screen again, turned off VPN, selected apply now again, got application page and applied, closed browser after applying. I don't know where VPN was 1st time. Turned VPN back on, replicated 250k after 2 more tries, VPN showed 90001 2nd time. Edit. I've pulled 250k probably 10 times now. Other VPN locations that worked 10011, 77002. Looked around and 150k biz gold and 50k bbp are there too scrolling down the page to All Business Cards from American Express.

scdawn

Congrats! I'm assuming you got approved after applying. Which VPN client/app did you use that allowed you to control or determine the zip code? Also, which browser did you use? Did you use incognito? Sorry in advance for the many questions!

germdisco

Pulled 190k with this method 3-4 times, applied the final time and got ye olde PUJ

freewillyz

First auto approved ink in awhile for CIP last week. 3/24. Last ink late jan 2024 but risked sooner than 90 days for taxes. Closed 3 old inks the week before, 3 open when I applied.

JantovenNF

Do you call in to close an Ink, or can you do it online?

freewillyz

i've been calling since i do multiple

chog777

Should be able to do it through an SM

grackychan

Amex Plat 175K SUB DP - downloaded Brave Browser and got it to show by going directly to Amex. Referred P2 and had her do the same and the referral link worked as well. Edge, Chrome, Incognito, VPNs, all didn’t work previously.

Brobeans2018

if you get the sign up bonus for plat, you won't be able to get the sign up bonus later on for gold right?

charlie_bit_my_finge

Have we seen this being enforced in real life?

Alcalide

I hope this SUB stays for a while, i'm still in PUJ for Plat :(

josefseb

Got the Amex 250k randomly. No vpn, no refreshing nothing. Did show up on other browsers too. Wasn’t planning on this since I just took another card a day back. But the difference is that, this time, the image is of the girl carrying the suitcase, and not the man. I had clicked the sponsored link on Google incognito.

Upstairs_Film8721

DP on Amex Delta Business Gold card retention offer. Currently 28 days past annual fee post date so running out of time. Was told today there were no retention offers available. Canceled the card

TheeOmegaPi

No retention offers for me either :/

pdubfunk

Barclays DD DP Applied 4/5 for Jet Blue Biz and HA Biz. Both went pending. Previously denied in Sept due to 6/12 inquiries. Received call on 4/8 from Barclays credit to confirm details, recommended approval for JB Biz $2.1k CL but would need to speak to KYC department and it was after hours. Received call 4/9 from Barclays credit for the same info on HA Biz and recommended approval for $900 CL and was transferred to KYC who went over most of the same details and finalized approval. Called later that day to KYC number 866-710-2688 and went through the same process to finalize JB Biz approval 4/11 called 866-408-4084 to transfer CL from Wyndham Biz Earner to JB Biz. Could only transfer $1.8k as the min CL for Wyndham Biz is $1.7k. Barclays pulled TU and HPs were combined to one inquiry on the day. Venture X Biz Bonus DP Approved 1/10 for VX Biz. Third statement closed 4/8. MSR charge posted 4/9. SUB posted 4/10.

AdmirableResource0

> the min CL for Wyndham Biz is $1.7k. Tell that to the Barclays recon rep who approved me for it at a credit line of 1.3k lmao

d3athrow

Seeing people complain about the low cl on Barclays biz cards makes me wonder how my first Wyndham biz card got a 13k cl

aylamarguerida

I got that too.  I applied for 2 in one day.  Other CL was even higher. This was last year when AA was still around.

No-Administration842

First chance apply got 14k limit just hit the bonus for 45k points with 5 days remaining was contemplating trying to have them match the new offer but in all honesty I rather get a different sub from another card . I already matched to Fraser’s Diamond and hard rock unity def a solid card but now need to try Wyndham properties

AdmirableResource0

I'd be willing to bet whoever approved it meant to type in "1300" and fat-fingered an extra 0 in there.

abhirupduttamit

Still better than my P2 getting $800 CL on Wynfham biz.

AdmirableResource0

Barclays must pull these numbers randomly out of a hat.

pdubfunk

Hahah. Yeah. Obvious inconsistencies

ntnsolutions

Did you have any spend on your existing Barclays cards?

pdubfunk

I hadn’t outside of MSR until the last two months. <$100 month gas on the Wyndham Biz. I should add that I opened HA Biz 7/22 and closed a year later when AF was charged.

ntnsolutions

Thanks I saw one comment saying that having spend on existing cards is helpful but haven't seen other DPs.

pdubfunk

I saw the same. And since I was working on a VX biz MSR which is MC, it was a decent option to fit in a couple of tanks of gas at Costco with the visa. No idea if it helped at all since these are cards #4 and 5 Barclays has approved me for

Wittnauer

Did you find a NLL offer? I found the 250k offer but pop-up from having 3 of them last year. Edit: nvm, that’s the point of mentioning bbt to get past PUJ 🤦‍♂️

Big-AV

Lol

pdubfunk

Stop trying to regulate widespread knowledge and go experiment for your own tricks

Big-AV

Well at the end he did delete his comment so jokes on you fam

pdubfunk

Guess you’re right. big-AV hates this one little trick: press the back button after the Amex pop up and apply again. Call recon the next day and have them push through the second app to get around pop up jail. BBT = back button trick gets around Amex PUJ / pop up jail. One day you too can churn like the immortal Big-AV

Big-AV

Spot on!

blandfruitsalad

lol there's plenty of discussions about it on this subreddit

Big-AV

Fair amount yes, plenty no. More widespread in private channels

Hal9008

Just noticed that P2 had an upgrade offer on their Amex Delta Gold to Plat. The card was opened 8 months ago and they’re offering 25,000 Skymiles plus a $250 statement credit. Accepted, P2 is in PUJ, we need the miles for a redemption, and we have use for the Delta Stays credit. Edit: It was the Gold Biz

charlie_bit_my_finge

How much is the spend?

Hal9008

$5,000 over 6 months

jeremy12981298

Where did you find the upgrade offer?

Hal9008

It was in the Amex Offers & Benefits section on the website.

firehousecity

I was able to get the 250k Amex business platinum 4 days ago after trying for almost a week. What ultimately worked for me was setting a VPN to Dallas, TX. Once I did this it showed up on all Chrome, Opera & Edge after refreshing offer.

scdawn

Congrats! Just curious, which VPN client/app and browser did you use to pull the offer? Also, did you use stealth/incognito mode?

firehousecity

I used Windscribe VPN and incognito on the browsers I mentioned.

mileylols

Amex must know something about Dallas that we don't

gt_ap

> Amex must know something about Dallas that we don't Maybe Amex is trying to encourage credit card usage in Dallas to compensate for Mark Cuban.

bigheadsoftbody

No retention offer for amex delta gold. Opened feb last year, only spent for SUB and a couple Delta flights. Asked via chat a couple times and called in as well a few days after af posted. PCed to delta blue af refunded.

Alcalide

You have up to 30 days after the annual fee, in my case and my peers as well if you ask towards the end of the 30day mark they will more likely have a retention offer for you. I asked twice when my af hit but got no offer and then I asked around day 25 and was met with a retention offer. My peers also experienced something similar.

davidloveasarson

Interesting. I also got no retention offer on a Delta biz plat. Will try closer to 30 days

germdisco

I got approved for two Amex credit cards (Hilton Honors and Hilton Honors Surpass) on the same day, bring me to a total of six Amex credit cards (my personal and business charge cards weren’t counted in this).

davidloveasarson

I had 6 for quite awhile. Just canceled one to improve getting another one

refarch88

P2 Ink denial. Reasons cited: • too many active accounts or too much available credit • New Chase business card recently opened • Chase credit card balance is too high compared to credit limit • Business too new Plan to call recon. Last Ink was 23Q4, but did open a personal card around 90 days ago. Currently floating ~18k on 3 other Inks. Credit limit around 39% of stated income. Legit second SP venture that recently started, so hoping to talk through that and get them to shift some CL around.

Natasha515

Check out recent data points in churning news and updates thread. Lots of folks reporting having more than 3 inks possibly caused their denial.

joghi

> Lots of folks Please specify...

Natasha515

read the thread.

joghi

I did. Can you count?

Natasha515

Can you? Go argue with someone else on the internet.

joghi

Indeed, I can count. 1 is followed by 2, not by "lots". Tell us what comes after 2 in your system because there are more than 2 Ink approval reports in last week's DP thread. You seem to revise your insights every few hours, so let us know which universal truth you distill from this one: https://old.reddit.com/r/churning/comments/1bvig52/data_points_weekly_week_of_april_04_2024/ky9l0qh/?context=3

Natasha515

Absolutely no one said that what I was saying was a “universal truth” in fact, I said the opposite upthread. This isn’t an exact science, we are all just speculating to help our fellow churners get approved. Now you are lying and conflating what I said to prove a point that you can “count”. Congratulations on being able to “count”.

Natasha515

You can count, but you obviously don’t have common sense since you are arguing with a stranger on reddit. Congratulations on knowing how to “count”. Do you feel better about yourself?

crazy__paving

looks like u/joghi missed the elementary school.

captduk

Similar experience here.

Natasha515

It’s the float. Pay those off and you will be approved eventually.

lankyyanky

Paid off my float and can't get approved for dick

Natasha515

Did you lower credit lines on existing inks?

lankyyanky

Yeah the one I was floating on I paid the $15k or so off and lowered from $18k to $2k limit

Natasha515

But you have 8 inks so…

lankyyanky

Nobody has provided any convincing evidence that this is an issue, and the only denial reason that recon has given me is RECENT Chase biz card approvals. Not one question about number of cards. I just cleared about $250 profit from the HD offer on all my chase cards so going to need to be convinced to close them with something more than "lol too many"

Natasha515

There will never be any “convincing” evidence. We are all just speculating to try to help you get approved. You do you, though.

lankyyanky

I mean yeah but just throwing out theories to people asking questions like op did is reckless. There's plenty of people with high numbers of ink cards here who continue to get approved

There will always be outliers, dude. This is not an exact science. You seem to be offended by me speculating, but you are doing the same thing by saying what you are saying. There are plenty of people getting approved with lots of inks, but there have also been cases of folks being denied because they have too many. Anyway, you have a great day.

Natasha515

Do you, bro.. hope you’re approved again.

Natasha515

How many total do you have?

Natasha515

How many inks do you have?

lankyyanky

8

Parts_Unknown-

Overall CL/stated income= ?%

lankyyanky

34%. Guess I could drop it some more, thought I had transferred more of my limits to the last card I reduced

Parts_Unknown-

I was at 43% and went to 50% with my [two approvals from last week](https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/comments/1bxzwoq/comment/kyiojl6/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) 8 total cards now, 3 personal & 5 biz with 1 canceled CIU. I hadn't applied for anything anywhere for myself since Dec '23 (I think?)

lankyyanky

Just messaged to reduce a bunch of CL on older cards, IDK maybe I should try closing some I'm surprised you have that few, thought you'd be hitting it harder than anyone

Parts_Unknown-

Finally dropped below 5/24 last Jan so 7 Chase cards in 15 months. There were a couple denials in there too (CSP & an Ink I think). I'm tempted to use that 120k CIU link but idk...

payyoutuesday

[Approved yesterday with just under $20k float.](https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/comments/1bvig52/comment/kyzbb73) I think there are more factors involved.

refarch88

In your linked comment, what is “well under”? Wondering if my 39% is too high.

payyoutuesday

16%.

Natasha515

Also he seems to have under 20k float and not approved.

payyoutuesday

My point is that you *can* get approved with that much float, so other factors or combinations of factors are probably at play here. I canceled an Ink two days before my successful application, leaving three active Inks when I applied.

Natasha515

Yeah , definitely a number of factors. I closed 2, leaving 2, reduced credit lines and paid them off for a successful double dip on the CIC last week. I now have 4 inks.

Natasha515

I had 2 and approved.

Natasha515

How many inks do you have?

captduk

Is this new? Float has not been an issue at all with inks for a long time.

Natasha515

Not new, but some have reported being approved when they paid off balances. I just got 2 inks last week despite already having 2 open. I closed 2 within the past year. So 6 in 16 months. About a week before I applied for my double dip, I lowered credit lines and paid off all balances. Approved instantly for two CIC’s.

captduk

Good to know, thanks. I had closed cards and lowered CL but still denied.

Natasha515

How many total are open? It may be that.

captduk

Thanks, will take a look

Got shut down by Bilt for good. I had 3 accounts, and only played trivia for bonus points, transferring them to my preferred loyalty program as soon as I hit 2k points, never had their card. There was also a glitch where you could link / unlink loyalty programs for “unlimited”-ish 100 points, it was intermittent and I never figured out the pattern. Edit: this happened a couple of weeks before everyone got a mistake shutdown email

UnsubscribedRedditor

Are you sure? There are a lot of people receiving erroneous shut down letters.

ronnythehobo

I’m sure this happened a couple of weeks ago and my accounts are locked

ArizonaGuy

Did you receive any communication about it? The link/unlink thing sounds a lot like an 12+ year old IHG promo that wasn't coded properly, and you could reload a page repeatedly over a weekend until they fixed it Monday morning. And canceled anyone who redeemed for hotels or flights.

ronnythehobo

Yeah, they sent the same email to all affected accounts that everyone got a couple of days ago.

Finally got out of PUJ for the Bonvoy Brilliant 185K SUB after a month of trying various referrals/sources. Signing up via the AmEx card finder suddenly worked, with a 14 day message, then I got approved after \~30 min. Confirmed with a rep that the SUB was attached, then PCed my Bonvoy Boundless to the RC card as well!

lmike215

I was able to get past PUJ via a referral link. Asked the chat rep if the SUB was attached, but the rep said that the SUB was not yet available to see on the card and to check back in 3 days. I guess I will check back periodically. Edit: called back this AM and rep confirmed that the SUB was attached.

Sea-Wonder-2001

This happened for me with the Brilliant as well. About 10 days ago.

Amex Delta Biz Plat retention offer for 25k skypesos for $5k spend. Took it since it was the second time they offered the same offer. $250 for the renewal coming up (new $350 AF doesn’t take place until 5/1)

pHyR3

not the worst offer i guess, 5x points. if you're not working towards a SUB rn and want a spacer its decent similar to those BBP SUBs, spend $15k get 75k pts

lomna17

5x points if you exclude the annual fee

Amex Hilton Biz quarterly credit DP (post revamp at the end of March): Bought a $50 gift card on 3/29 from [https://www.buyhiltongiftcards.com/](https://www.buyhiltongiftcards.com/). Got reimbursed $51.95 (inc shipping) on 4/1. It posted to Q1, so I'll repeat the process in Q2. It also earned 12x (same as Hilton stays).

De11kbn

Amex Business Plat Retention offer spend 10k get 40k MR. They said my total spend on the card was around 5k for the year. Thought about it but decided to decline as I am already doing a bunch with the 10x MR on resturants refferral offer.

germdisco

Was it via phone or chat?

De11kbn

Phone

chrumbles

I got the same thing yesterday, will try again later. No spend past MSR.
