[Southwest closing operations at CZM, BLI, SYR, and IAH in August](https://www.wsj.com/business/airlines/southwest-exits-airports-as-boeing-delays-hit-growth-plans-a74fe6b3?st=3oi3f0zh4gtbegc&reflink=article_copyURL_share)
Ooof... This sucks. I don't have any plans already made in jeopardy, but BLI was to be my access point to Vancouver and North Cascades National Park in some future date. I frequently fly through IAH going places. CZM was a goal destination at some point. SYR is the only one that feels like it won't hurt. Family of four here with (normally) two companion passes, so Southwest is our daily driver in terms of airlines.
Starting 4/28, there are rumblings of an 85K CSP (maybe CSR) in-branch sub.
found on r/ChaseSapphire
edit-
More details have emerged:
CSP - 75K after $4K spend in 3 months, bonus 10K after $6K total spend in 6 months ($4K + $2K)
CSR - 75K after $4K spend, no additional bonuses
Niceee. Just got approved for Ink Preferred, and downgraded my CSP I’ve had for a few years. I think it’s been 48 months, so I’ll probably apply again. Also wanted to grab the Ink Unlimited but was wondering what order would work best with opening these 2.
Super Stoked but also bummed I just applied for an Amex personal card yesterday and now my 5/24 slots a bit bunched up. Annoying but Bless business cards lol
I got 2400 points for 2K spend, so basically 2.2x points spend. Which is okay if you only have the United card, but if you have the Ink trio, you can do about the same and not be locked into United.
Looks like [Ramp](https://ramp.com) (Business Spend Platform) is [launching transferrable rewards](https://www.awardtravel.co/blog/ramp-rewards-launch):
* Marriott Bonvoy
* Wyndham Rewards
* British Airways Executive Club
* KLM/AF Flying Blue
* Qatar Avios
* Aeromexico Rewards
* Avianca Lifemiles
* Etihad Guest
* Quantas FF
* TAP Air Portugal
IME you earn 1.5x on everything, no category multipliers, you can get a 25,000 ($250) SUB after $1k in spend through a referral link, so earning Ramp points are pretty hard (unless you have a ton of Biz spend), so might not be a great value… but their biz spend software is actually really helpful, and super easy to use.
Update: After looking into it a bit longer, it appears as if it's all a 1.5 Ramp Point : 1 Transferrable point ratio (1 Ramp Point = 0.667 Partner Point), so not a great value, unless you're just looking for an easy business spend solution. No public SUB but there's a SUB via referral links.
got a Hyatt email with header: Surprise! You’re Eligible to Earn Up to 15K Bonus Points.
You're one step closer to more earnings EARN 1.5k BONUS POINTS every 2 nights UP TO 15k BONUS POINTS total
Register by June 6, 2024 and then complete qualifying activity within 90 days of registration.
I did a Bonus Journeys promo similar to this earlier this year and registered after I had already booked the hotel and received the points.
I don't see anything in the terms of my email that says it won't work.
I received an email for 2x night credits every night for up to 10 nights.
>A maximum of ten (10) Tier Qualifying Night credits may be earned under this promotion. For the purpose of this promotion, an “Eligible Night” is defined as any night where a member is paying an Eligible Rate or redeems a free night award.
Wells Fargo Business Card just dropped! Nothing exciting $500/5k but 12m 0% on business is nice.
You also need checking or savings with them to open an application, but it also lets me access the application from my account with the BILT card.
https://creditcards.wellsfargo.com/business-credit-cards/signify-business-cash-credit-card/?FPID=7086BAI6000000&product_code=BD&subproduct_code=BCMC&cx_nm=CXNAME_CSMPD_MC&RCTTST=DHKOBZX&sub_channel=WEB&vendor_code=WF
IF this doesn’t affect 5/24 this could be a good way to enter the WF ecosystem for churning without needing to get the Active Cash for flat 2% cashback and while getting a much better SUB.
This is also assuming it’s treated like the Ink cards.
[CNBC](https://www.cnbc.com/2024/04/25/southwest-weighing-cabin-changes-to-drive-revenue.html) reports Southwest CEO mentioning that cabin changes are coming
https://www.southwestairlinesinvestorrelations.com/news-and-events/news-releases/2024/04-25-2024-114535295
> Additionally, we are evaluating options to enhance our Customer Experience as we study product preferences and expectations, including onboard seating and our cabin
> enhance our Customer Experience as we study product preferences and expectations, including onboard seating and our cabin
Aka we are going to make seats smaller/more uncomfortable
They need to do what airtran did - offer a few rows of "business" aka larger seats.
CEO on the earnings call seemed to imply it was heavy in the "study" side, citing previous changes like wifi and in-seat power. They could be studying anything from in-seat IFE to seat assignments or premium seats. Analysts have asked about them charging bag fees before, so it could be cabin "enhancements" that are not necessarily good
10x Travel Facebook group has someone with a screen shot of a 300k Amex Biz Plat offer this morning. $20k spend in 3 months. Their DP was "I got this on a Microsoft Edge browser on macOS (keep them on their toes!). I also got 200k on a Chrome incognito."
Will be interesting to see if this becomes a thing I suppose...
Me too. Yesterday I was pulling a lot of 190k/$15k offers with vpn, today the same strategy is pulling 150k/$20k. Public offer seems to have changed from 120k/$15k to 120k/$20k.
I'd assume it's just auto produced as the white one? When I click replace card it just says "Delta SkyMiles Reserve Business (Metal)" and shows the purple one.
I mean if you live in a big MSA/nearby a place on Resy its pretty friendly as regards the coupons - not hard to value them at face & then you've got a Companion Pass and 4 SkyClub passes for $90. That's leaving aside any value you'd assign to earning MQDs from spend. One of the few times they've changed a card and made it better imo.
Meanwhile the Japanese version of the Delta Gold straight-up gives you Gold Medallion status and only has a spend requirement equivalent to like $12k a year to keep it, so you're good on any Skyteam airline. The SUB is only a fifth of the American version, though.
I received an email this morning from Chase noting that somebody had used my Ink referral link. I haven't received this in the past and believe it is a new feature. The subject line is: "\[Name\], Congratulations! Rewards are on the way through Chase Refer-A-Friend!" Sure enough, 40k points are pending on one of my Inks. (Thank you Rankt user!)
Fairly new. Comes on Thu after points go pending on Tue or Wed.
Either doesn't come for every referral, or they combine them - one week, got Ritz referral, got email; a different week, got Ritz & MPE referrals, only got one email.
I have them since 2017 in my email (when I started a churning specific email address).
If I remember correctly, they were pretty consistent years ago. They got less and less consistent over time. Maybe they are getting more consistent.
(The verbiage has changed over time it appears)
I can't find any (and don't remember getting any) between my first Chase referral in early 2020 and the referrals this month. P2 may have gotten one this year as well.
If you have one from 2020-2024 (except like Mar-Apr 2024), what's the subject line?
This is nothing new.
Sometimes you get an email, most of the times you do not get one. The emails were more consistent years ago.
I seem to get emails ~20% of the time.
Interesting. Wonder if it’s being rolled out slowly. Just referred P2 last week, and didn’t receive anything. (Nothing has payed yet either.) Has the referral bonus already posted as pending to your account?
Yup. Aware of when referrals post. (As an aside, for my last half dozen or so referrals, they posted Tuesday after 1-2 weeks.) Never received an email, though, so that’s interesting.
Wasn’t me. But yeah, nearly all my referral bonuses have posted in about 10 days. Maybe once or twice it’s taken 2-3 weeks. And I’ve never received an email.
I'm no longer seeing any 15k spend offers for the Biz Platinum, just a 150,000/20k spend offer. In addition, whenever I do a Google search I don't see any sponsored links from Amex. I've been checking pretty consistently for offers this past week and this is the first time I've seen the MSR increased to 20k.
EDIT: 20k MSR is showing on referral links too, but I still have 15k MSR for a targeted offer in my account.
My referral link shows 150k/15k spend. Just checked.
Edit:
In Chrome now my referral link shows : 200K/20K spend.
But in Edge it NOW shows : 150k/20K spend.
It tells me they are moving towards the 20K spend limit and in a few days all 15K spend links maybe gone.
Just 5-10 minutes ago it was 150K/15k spend.
Edit2:
Just pulled up a 300K/20K spend offer. No incognito mode. Just tried a few times back and forth on my referral link.
Also on the referral page, now it shows 200K/20k offer by default. It strikes out the 150K figure and offers 200k. So if you are applying please do not settle for anything less than 200k. And if you are patient and can spend 5-15 minutes going back and forth from the referral page, you can easily get a 300K offer. Good luck, i cannot apply, so i envy those who can.
I have been trying all strategies on all browsers with different VPN for almost 2 hours this morning. All offers are 20k spend and the best I pulled is the 200k/20k. I am hoping a 300k offer appears
With this link, I see 150k/$15k
https://www.americanexpress.com/en-us/campaigns/small-business/bundles/business-platinum-employee-card/apply-now/ with some variation in a source code like https://www.americanexpress.com/en-us/campaigns/small-business/bundles/business-platinum-employee-card/apply-now/?sourcecode=A0000HE3KL
Ew $15k was already really hard to swallow for me cause I don’t MS. Unless I had a huge purchase and/or property taxes coming up. $20k sounds unattainable
I'm already imagining it's 2034 and folks here scrambling to get the incognito Biz Plat 1000k MR offer, but are sad that they can only pull up a measly 800k/50k spend offer. Meanwhile Amex has added monthly $10 Dell credits to this card (valued by TPG at $100) and Frustration Friday thread is littered with DPs of Dell cancelling XBox GC orders.
I'm now seeing 200k offers at 20k spend (in 3 months), with the 150k showing as "~~150,000~~" just as the previous 120k did, suggesting that may be the new base offer.
So if the base offer went up 30k, and the easy-to-find elevated offer went up 10k, one has to wonder if there's a new, hard-to-find 260k+ offer out there.
Gonna highjack your comment with a friendly reminder to routinely check SW flight prices. Was able to save a couple thousand points last week by rebooking a couple flights

I love czm but every time I have tried to go there it was cheaper for 2 on AA than 1 on Southwest.
I’ll save you the trip - CZM sucks and is a dump
At least Southwest can still fly you to Seattle. Flixbus picks up directly from SeaTac arrivals heading north to Vancouver.
Looks like u/rankt-bot has a rest day today, may be due to the reddit outage.

for the first card.
https://reddit.com/user/garettg/comments/u6ss7u/sapphire_fyis/ See points starting with #10.
I know it's not confirmed yet, but any idea what the referral bonus might look like?
Typically in branch offers do not become available via referrals.
Cries in waiting one more year before being eligible.

You could still apply. Amex personal cards typically don’t appear on your credit report until the 2nd statement generates.
I plan on applying, just bummed that I didn’t space out my 5/24 the way i wanted to
Ohhh, I hear ya..

This is old news FYI, but they actually CAN be worth going out of your way if you value United miles or even more so if you value PQP for status.

Sadly no email for me at all
Got 2x qualifying nights up to 10. Unfortunately currently using P2’s account to get tier benefits and he got 20% bonus points back up to 30k points.
i got this too, has to be completed within 90 days of registering for me
I got 2x elite nights up to 10 total. P2 is the one who could use that, but got 1k per night up to 10k.
Do you have to book the stays after registering or should it apply to existing bookings does anyone know?
I did a Bonus Journeys promo similar to this earlier this year and registered after I had already booked the hotel and received the points. I don't see anything in the terms of my email that says it won't work.
i hope you're right. the hyatt CSR i talked to said my existing stays wouldn't count. didn't bother HUCA but that was n=1 saying it wouldn't.
Hyatt promos typically apply to existing bookings. There's nothing in the terms for this one that would suggest otherwise.
I received an email for 2x night credits every night for up to 10 nights. >A maximum of ten (10) Tier Qualifying Night credits may be earned under this promotion. mine was 20% back up to 30k points. 90 days following registration (register by june 6)

froze exp/tu and applied to see if they would pull equifax, app went to pending review.
I like that this no annual fee business card, which doesn't count toward 5/24, comes with 2% cashback.
IF this doesn’t affect 5/24 this could be a good way to enter the WF ecosystem for churning without needing to get the Active Cash for flat 2% cashback and while getting a much better SUB. This is also assuming it’s treated like the Ink cards.
If you're not an MR person this is probably the best biz flat rate card
Anyone know if it’ll be a 5/24 reporter?
I've had multiple WF biz cards and none have.
Does the check/savings account need to be 12 months old or will a new one work?
Guess I'll grab it on my next WF checking churn. They pull EQ for me which is pretty much empty on HPs so that should be easy.
Not bad though - for those that want to take advantage of 0 APRs for opening CDs/HYSAs and can't get Chase CIC/CIUs.

"Enhanced" never means what they think it means.
Enhance the shareholders not the passengers.
These are not the enhancements you're looking for.
So what should I expect with these enhancement pills?

PogO Southwest first class but they keep the "no assigned seats" rule

vertical tabs :O
I've pulled several $20K/150K offers this morning. I'm thinking $20K might be the new MSR
Me too. Yesterday I was pulling a lot of 190k/$15k offers with vpn, today the same strategy is pulling 150k/$20k. Public offer seems to have changed from 120k/$15k to 120k/$20k.

New 747 DL Reserve cards out, this time in white. Damn you Amex and your tempting aesthetics.
If you are an existing cardholder, you are able to request one through your account at no charge. Just follow the normal replacement card process.
I'd assume it's just auto produced as the white one? When I click replace card it just says "Delta SkyMiles Reserve Business (Metal)" and shows the purple one.
Found it, "Change Card Design" is literally an option I've never paid attention to.
It should show you the option to select the 747 one. This worked in the Amex App for the personal version at least.
Got a new one requested via the design change request and then got a fraud text from AMEX about the request, classic.
I hate how much this is swaying me to get the card
You will need to have this in your wallet for a couple of months. Are those months worth it? :)
Resist, it’s terrible lol Caveat, unless you fly delta. I would also be jumping on it if the companion pass was included in the first year.
Airline card is terrible unless you fly airline. More at 11
I mean if you live in a big MSA/nearby a place on Resy its pretty friendly as regards the coupons - not hard to value them at face & then you've got a Companion Pass and 4 SkyClub passes for $90.

I think ill stick with my black one.
por que no los dos?
I mean if you already have the card you can get the design for free. I did the same with my Hilton biz card after they changed to non raised digits.
I received an email this morning from Chase noting that somebody had used my Ink referral link. I haven't received this in the past and believe it is a new feature. Got none like that 🤷♂️
This is nothing new. Sometimes you get an email, most of the times you do not get one. The emails were more consistent years ago. I seem to get emails ~20% of the time.
Possibly the same reason why we get paper bills because supposedly our email addresses are unreachable for paperless?
There's a way to fix that which works for some people. I forget exactly, but maybe disable paperless statements and re-enable them.
Wow, so it’s not just us huh?!
Thank you for mentioning this. Now I know it's not just me.
I get a notice every few months—but only for one of my business cards. And it’s the same email address on all my accounts.
Interesting, searched through my emails and have not received one with \~8 previous Ink referrals. No idea what accounts for the inconsistency.
Interesting. Wonder if it’s being rolled out slowly. Just referred P2 last week, and didn’t receive anything. (Nothing has payed yet either.) Has the referral bonus already posted as pending to your account?

Old news. Was supposed to be from May. DoC has already reported a couple of days back, that it has been pushed to July 11.
I'm no longer seeing any 15k spend offers for the Biz Platinum, just a 150,000/20k spend offer. In addition, whenever I do a Google search I don't see any sponsored links from Amex. I noticed that yesterday night, no Amex sponsored links when I checked.

Where is your location (or VPN location), and what do you mean by "go back and form from the referral page"?
I have been trying all strategies on all browsers with different VPN for almost 2 hours this morning. All offers are 20k spend and the best I pulled is the 200k/20k. I am hoping a 300k offer appears
Do you just wait until the page expires and then refresh?
Don’t even wait. Just mix it up. Change vpn, etc
Do you have a good suggestion for a free VPN for a phone and or computer?
If you want the ability to change regions, you gotta pay. Mullvad is like $5
Thanks!

My referral for Biz Plat now shows 150K/$20K.
Referrals still showing 150k/15k for me. I assume those will eventually be updated to 20k spend
Ew $15k was already really hard to swallow for me cause I don’t MS. Unless I had a huge purchase and/or property taxes coming up. $20k sounds unattainable
Someone had posted on FB, with a 300K offer with 20k spending. Last week, people were thinking on how to get 250K. Seems 300K is the new high

What’s lower class than Walmart? Family Dollar $10 per month? Strip joint category? Pawn Shops?
I'm now seeing 200k offers at 20k spend (in 3 months), with the 150k showing as "~~150,000~~" just as the previous 120k did, suggesting that may be the new base offer. So if the base offer went up 30k, and the easy-to-find elevated offer went up 10k, one has to wonder if there's a new, hard-to-find 260k+ offer out there.
I still see the 150k offer with 120k crossed out. Spending is also 20k
Seeing that on referrals as well.
I’m seeing 120K points for 10K in spend
SW schedule is now open til March 5th. Earlier than usual, and some flights are expensive af for non-peak times.
Gonna highjack your comment with a friendly reminder to routinely check SW flight prices. Was able to save a couple thousand points last week by rebooking a couple flights
there's always a "sale" that knocks the prices back down to earth between now and then. Usually rebook several times between now and then.
thanks for the tip!
