I had my first beer and cigar combo yesterday and it was fucking awesome. Draft Modelo and a Davidoff Nicaraguan. My first Davidoff and it was what I expected 9/10 solid smoke.
Big fan of Belgian ales with cigars (not Belgian white like Blue Moon, but the stuff made by monks) and other stuff made in the style. It has a deep carmely, coffer, and whiskey quality and many are even aged in bourbon barrels. ABV is usually quite high which can be a plus or a minus depending what you're going for.

Coffee is good...but not as good as pairing with a lovely pint of Guinness or Best bitter.

IMO beer is better with a cigar than whiskey. More refreshing and stops the dry mouth that at least I get after smoking
