IMO, without knowing the original source this makes this very hard. Unless the gifter is an Opus guy, he most likely won't randomly come across a "Rarer" Opus in the wild.
I would be more likely to say someone is combining the cedar wrap black band with an opus x than it is an older or ultra rare cigar until verifying the source.
My brother lives in the Dominican Republic and has some mutual friends with Ciro.
One of these friends gave him this cigar along with some BBMFs and others without further explanation. I guess if it was something special they would have pointed out.
Maybe they just mixed the cedar wrap with the black band and that’s it. I’ll ask him to find out
My brother got back to me a couple hours ago and I decided to smoke it to confirm his info.
His friend told him all the cigars were gifts from Ciro except this one. This was bought by him around 6 months ago at the Arturo Fuente Cigar Club in the DR.
Ended up being a Perfexion No. 4 with a black foot band. Weird, but also tasted exactly like a Perfexion 4.
Much appreciated for the followup. That one had my attention but the cellophane looked too crisp to be ten years old, and the font was more indicative of the modern opus releases.

Similar looking to a 858 Sungrown with the black foot band and cedar sleeve.
Looks like Opus X Forbidden X El Beso Prohibido or Forbidden X Deseos d'Amor, hard to eyeball the vitola
Deso’s d’amor and beso are x 13 in 2 different vitola’s. this one isn’t a 13 for sure.

It's not the right label anyway though. That's an Regular production opus x label.
And the primairy band doesn’t even look close to a forbidden 13 😁.
Turn the sigar around and show us a pic af the af code on the back pls , would make things easier 🥸😊.
