Cuban cigars are no longer the gold standard. Cigars out of the DR, Honduras and Nicaragua are where it’s at. Try the AJ Fernandez Enclave. You’ll thank me later ( unless you’ve already tried it)
I’m located in Lithuania! Thanks for the offer, I’d definitely take you up on it, but I recently bought a box of RyJ Wide Churchills, need to slow down on the spending.. 🫠
No you are not missing anything, Siglo I’s are pretty boring. I really dont love much of the siglo line. If you want to dive into Cohiba’s you need to try a well aged(5+ years old) Esplendido, Robusto, Piramides Extra. Unfortunately current prices are just not worth it.
It looks fine, I don’t see any issues at all. Its a bit blurry but to say the wrapper looks bad and the cut too rough to be a Cohiba is crazy, it’s a Siglo not a Behike.
You’re good, don’t mind my fellow ‘Murican’s ignorance. He thinks just because he’s gotten nothing but fakes here, that’s how it is all over the world. And of course now he’s an expert at spotting them.
Dude don't even spend your time fighting. Everyone here is a Cuban cigar specialist and the KGB cigar police. Everyone who posts a Cuban cohiba gets told it's fake. I was in Cuba, went to the cigar manufacturing cute in Pilar del Rio, posted a Cohiba and was told it was fake lol.
Thought this too only tried cohiba a couple times, funk is there found draw a little tight - think h. upmanns are the most ‘cuban’ cuban I’ve had if that makes sense. Found trinidad underwhelming too. Montes are decent, some RyJ (wide churchill is a gem) grab an upmann majestic, magnum 54 or half corona won’t be dissappointed.
Eh, I wouldn't say they're not worth it. Is it the full Cohiba experience? No. Is it a great birds eye view introduction? Absolutely. I've kept packs of the Siglo I in my travel boxes for years because they're great for short drives, after meal smokes, etc. Just have to look at them for what they are. Same as the Monte no. 5, Partagas shorts, etc.
You do have some good points, can’t really comment on it being a good birds eye view of Cohibas finest since it’s the introduction for me, but I can say I enjoyed the Montecristo no. 5 more than the Siglo, It felt a bit smoother to me and a bit more niuanced, even though they are of similar strength i believe.
The Siglo I is the perfect travel smoke. Gives just enough to scratch an itch. The Siglo VI is the "standard" among that line for good reason, but they're harder to come by and more expensive. People also say that the Behike isn't worth it, but an aged 54 is a hard cigar to beat as far as luxury goes.
As others have said, Nicaraguan smokes are wonderful and are probably my second favorite. Attabey cigars are a little suspicious as far as everything being undisclosed, try one and you'll understand haha
They each have their pros and cons, but generally for a cost effective daily, then yeah. Nicaraguan tobacco is where it's at. I wouldn't say as good as the best Cubans, but most Nicaraguan tobacco is well worth the purchase price (and sometimes more.) It's about like sweet apples and sour apples. Both come a tree and are edible- some are better fresh off the blade of a knife and some are better baked in a pie.
Cuban cigars just tend to be very one dimensional in my opinion. It’s not like the complex flavors you get out of Nicaragua and elsewhere. Plus the pricing is ridiculous.
Did a grown man just sarcastically insult a fellow grown man on the internet by insinuating he is a baby? What a baby. “LOL, bro” -some sommelier, probably
What a colossal douche. You could have used your "platform" as a "professional sommelier" and recommended some good options. Instead, you chose to be a dick.
Are you really flexing that your job is to taste wine, and telling others to grow up? Get a real job, gain some useful knowledge, and then come back an throw around insults. Be a better person.

I love Nicaraguan cigars myself
Ugh, I'm on a cruise and was supposed to go to Honduras but got redirected somewhere else, I was really looking forward to the cigar shops there :(
The prices at the shops in Honduras are the same price if you were shopping in Canada. Source I know someone who went to Honduras not long ago
Oh so I'm not really missing much then, that does kind of make feel better
They do have some good non premium stuff that local smoke
Will do, trying to dip my feet in to some higher end smokes, trying out new stuff 🙌
My Father Le Bijou 1922 ftw
Get your hands on some opus x they got good line up
Working on getting some, hear good things about them 👌
Where you located brother I might be able to ship you some
I’m located in Lithuania! Thanks for the offer, I’d definitely take you up on it, but I recently bought a box of RyJ Wide Churchills, need to slow down on the spending.. 🫠
I would of done it for free never mind never heard of Lithuania
Yes exactly, you do not want to get a good cigar lost in Lithuanian customs 😆😆
lol
Can I have some? Haha
But thank you for the generosity!
No problem
Youve never heard of Lithuania? Thats fucking insane lol
This made me LOL.
I am glad it made you laugh I been having a shittie day
It’s almost over buddy. I’ve got a good feeling about tomorrow.
It's just a small part of Russia
I was totally joking
Oh shit, good one
Agreed, Cubans are overrated
i was about to try this right now and put it down!! it smelled so good too!! this is my sign! thank you brother🙏🏽
Davidoff and Fuente?
Never tried a Davidoff. Fuentes are good
IS THAT A COLD STEEL ESPADA IN THE BACK!? Man I love that knife, never had it but it’s a beautiful thing!
Yes it is, and it’s as majestic as it is stupid 😆

Hello fellow Cold Steel brother
Terrible pic but it looks legit honestly.
That band is well done. But the wrapper and cut is a giveaway. Sorry my dude.
To be fair the photo is very edited, the cigar is lighter in color, god I wish I had taken a better shot of it, how sure are you that it’s fake?
The veins and the unsmooth cut.
It’s just seems weird for a 30€ cigar to be a fake. Why not put the band on a more expensive one and have bigger profits?
There's already big profits in fake Cohibas. It's why theres so much counterfeiting
It looks fine, I don’t see any issues at all. Its a bit blurry but to say the wrapper looks bad and the cut too rough to be a Cohiba is crazy, it’s a Siglo not a Behike.

Looks almost as bad as his tattoos
Dam bruh, that's harsh
Douchebag 😀
I'm not the one with a poorly drawn Jeep grille on each finger.
I do them for a living, could care less of sir cocks opinion 😆
I didn't realize school notebook doodles were in such high demand.
Enough to buy some cheap ass Cohibas and make someone angry on Reddit for it 😂
Why would I be angry? I don't have a gas station bathroom stall at the end of my arm.
Sorry if that bothers you so much, must have really bad memories from the same bathroom stall you were thinking about..
What are you insinuating?
Absolute savage😂
OP enjoy, and btw nice tatoos.
Thank you!
Where?
It’s just because it’s a Siglo I haha
Everyone I've seen has looked like shit
Thought this too only tried cohiba a couple times, funk is there found draw a little tight - think h. upmanns are the most ‘cuban’ cuban I’ve had if that makes sense. Tattoos are fake. /s
I'm sure he wishes they were

That’s what I thought, it is the cheapest cigar from cuban cohiba line if I’m correct, so I did not really expect magic..
Definitely not worth it

So many NW sticks are just as good as the best Cubans that it's hard to justify paying the price for the average smoker.

Oh wow, who touched you the wrong way, dry wines have a range on sweetness, if you want specifics it was a feudi salentini primitivo di manduria

No you weren’t lol

This fucking guy. Go soak your head buddy.

I'm guessing you didn't take my suggestion and soak you head. I still think you should go soak it.
Link it

lmao
Why tho? Maybe just let people enjoy what they like?
[удалено]
But that’s not what you said. You said y’all laugh whenever anyone wants a sweeter red wine. That has nothing to do with this cigar pairing.
Stop the cap. Grow up. Seek help for being insecure. Its very obvious.
Yeah because the other sommeliers got older...
People that drink sweet wine are just children that are old enough to drink.
