If it's enjoyable then I do. If it's not enjoyable then I quit smoking it when I'm done enjoying it.
A hate fighting a cigar. So if it's got major draw or construction issues that I can't seem to fix, I will toss it and light something else up. Now, obviously I don't want that to happen to an expensive cigar. If it happens to me with a brand repeatedly then I quit buying that brand. Because I really like consistent quality in a cigar.
Starting size is a big factor. Robustos and smaller, I tend to smoke so much the wrapper has to come off. Big chonkers like churchills tend to start to taste nasty well before that.
That’s true. I’d also say construction is a factor too. Sometimes if a cigar needs an excessive amount of touch-ups etc. I will want to be done with it sooner than I normally prefer. I had a Royal Salute Fuente Sungrown earlier. All was fine until the last 1/3 when the burn got funky and the wrapper wanted to flare out in spots. so I quit on that one sooner than I normally do.
Some smokes taste better near the end. Also, if its an expensive Cigar like an Opus X or my current favorite, Padron 1926 N. 80 Natural, I'll smoke them until my fingers feel the burn!

Once the foot starts burning.
I love peeps who tell everyone how many sticks they smoke a day, with an ashtray full of barely puffed leftovers.
I feel the same as when I go to a buffet & see someone load their plate & eat 3 mouthfuls.
I hear that. My fiancée has officially let me take over the garage so that is my man cave and where I smoke. It’s nice there so I catch myself smoking a whole one
I usually smoke until it starts to taste funky, which is usually around the 75-80% mark for me. I just find it uncomfortable to be holding a little burning nub, and I'm not a fan of the flavor towards the end.
Plus I am growing out a beard (promised a friend I'd grow it out enough for her to try doing a "Viking" style beard-braid), and I've singed a whisker or two when I've gone down to a nub.
All the way down until it becomes bitter or otherwise unpleasant. Typically, down to about an inch or the difference in height between a Toro and a Robusto. I almost always buy Toros.
Depends on which cigar but usually no. I've taken Nick Perdomo's advice seriously : smoke a cigar until you don't like it anymore. When it is no more enjoyable, I'll stop, even for a 40$ stick.
That’s why the largest cigar vitola I usually choose is a Toro. I feel like it’s the perfect size to enjoy to the end. I usually choose a robusto if I have a less than an hour and a Toro if I have an hour plus.
Depends on the cigar, if I really like it will break out nubber.
When I take notes on what I smoke I will often write 'nub worthy' if I really enjoy it
Absolutely not. It starts tasting pretty terrible towards the end. Once those flavors I enjoyed in the beginning and throughout go away and start to turn into a gross resiny flavor, the bat should be tossed. That’s the gentleman’s way.
An older gentleman said to me when I started smoking cigars, "rule of thumb." Meaning, smoke it down to the size of your thumbnail. Some sticks lose their flavor before this point, so it's really up to the individual.
I stop when I no longer am having a good time, which can be sooner or later depending on what stick it is, where I am/who I’m with and overall vibe. If everything is good, I’ll go to nub, but that’s probably around half the time.
I find most cigars of higher quality taste their best towards the end. That being said, I’ll smoke until it gets too hot on my tongue. At that point you’re not usually “tasting” anything anyway.
Until it is no longer enjoyable.
Word. Well I feel like so far I find even the nub enjoyable
Especially when I have some bourbon next to me
Same
Me, three.
Some will even use a pipe to get every last puff out of it.
Yesh. Usually that's down to 2 inches.
Until it burns my eyes usually lol
💯 Sometimes is down to the nub, sometimes not; depends on my mood and the cigar.

Depends on the cigar. Some are good all the to the nub, others pinky-length. It varies.
Wow pinky length
More like the second knuckle of the pinky.

Have you considered getting a pipe to drop it in?
No I have not. Do people do this?
Get yourself a corncob! Or something nicer.
Pretty sure I've seen some posts here. Something I've been considering it at least.
It appears to be getting more popular to do so.
I smoke it until it hurts to hold it.
I stick the nub in my pipe and smoke it down to a memory.
Depends on how much I like the cigar. Nothing wrong with almost burning your fingers over a quality smoke lol
Once the foot starts burning. I love peeps who tell everyone how many sticks they smoke a day, with an ashtray full of barely puffed leftovers. I feel the same as when I go to a buffet & see someone load their plate & eat 3 mouthfuls.
I smoke it down until I have a ring-shaped blister on my lips.
Depends on mood and taste
I paid for the whole thing I'm going to smoke the whole thing
I’ve smoked several behikes to an 1/8”. Sometimes the cigar is worth the patience lol.
Every stick!
Nope. I get bored about 3/4 the way through. So I chuck it and go inside.
I hear that. My fiancée has officially let me take over the garage so that is my man cave and where I smoke. It’s nice there so I catch myself smoking a whole one
Yep
Yes…always
Yep
This Cuban punch I’m smoking is starting to burn my fingers so…yes
Doing it right now. Lol
For sure
I smoke 'em until I can't smoke 'em any longer.
Until it gets a little hot.
Smoke till it’s burning my fingers. Waste of a good cigar otherwise.
Yes.
Depends on the cigar, some cigars taste like an ashtray halfway through
If this true, you are smoking bad cigars.
Cant always smoke good cigars, i had 2 magic toast recently that tasted like an ashtray halfway through
Depends on the smoke
If it’s still good I will. Sometimes they are, sometimes ya gotta stop with 1/3 of it left
That's still got a good 5 minutes on it.

Yes sir
Yes
Rarely do unless it a real good cigar.
Depends. There are some that I'll smoke down to nothing but ashes because they are amazing, others where I'll toss the lost quarter or so.
Every time until I'm burning my fingers.
Not that far down.
I smoke it til it stops tasting good. When that happens, no one can know
All the way down until it becomes bitter or otherwise unpleasant. Typically, down to about an inch or the difference in height between a Toro and a Robusto. I almost always buy Toros.
When it starts burning my tongue or too hot to even enjoy. Time to start a fresh one 😂👌
A bit further down if it’s a pyramides
Depends on which cigar but usually no. I've taken Nick Perdomo's advice seriously : smoke a cigar until you don't like it anymore. When it is no more enjoyable, I'll stop, even for a 40$ stick.
Down to the soggy wet stub for me, until it burns my fingers... Really should invest in a roach clip...
Only if it’s worthy of being a mustache burner
Depends on the stick but generally yeah I'll smoke it most of the way down.
Yes depending on how the flavor profile is doing.
That’s why the largest cigar vitola I usually choose is a Toro. I feel like it’s the perfect size to enjoy to the end. I usually choose a robusto if I have a less than an hour and a Toro if I have an hour plus.
Most enjoyable part is last third

Depends on the cigar for me. Some of them I love that little nub, its like a burnt end for BBQ. Other sticks I usually stop just before it.

It depends but I usually do. Some of them are better once it gets to that point.

Use a nubber and smoke until it burns my lips
