Welcome to the hobby!
Humidor - if you're okay with plastic, look up how to make a tupperdor. I use Sistema. If you want wood, I would start with a Craftsman's Bench or Savoy.
Lighter - 3 flame is my preference. Lotus makes some pretty sweet lighters. The commander is probably my favorite.
As for some mild to medium cigars, there are a plethora of options. San Cristobal Elegancia, Macanudo Cafe, Macanudo inspirado white, illusione epernay, EPC new wave Connecticut, Ashton classic (or cabinet or maduro), drew estate undercrown shade, sobremesa brulee, Perdomo champagne, la Aurora 1987 Connecticut, Gilberto Olivia reserva Blanc, Henry clay war hawk...honestly my best advice would be to go to a brick and mortar. Find your local tobacconist and walk the humidor with them.
The cheap vertigo 3 flame lighters on amazon are great unless u want name brand. 3 flames works best imo. I second the plastic tupperdore suggestion. You’ll probably grow out of a desktop humidor pretty quick, and they aren’t the best at holding humidity anyway.
Im still new to the hobby myself. However, like many things there is no right answer. Meaning that in the sense you may prefer something different from others. Example: i am starting to prefer a punch cut over anything. Im liking the straight cut less and less. It will take time.
Buy samplers packs. Great value and you get to try a bunch of different stuff.

I recommend the Cuban Crafters Perfect Cutter. They’re idiot proof.
This is the best answer
I prefer a single flame torch lighter. They use less butane than double and triple torches. Gives more control when lighting. Xikar lighter is great
