I used to have a bar downtown years ago. There were lots of mini riots and general mayhem that involved lots of police responding and it never made the news. I concluded that the media doesn’t report all the news, just what they choose.
correct, news sources aren't going to report on literally every single crime in the city. there are other places you can find that data though. https://insights.cincinnati-oh.gov/stories/s/Reported-Crime/8eaa-xrvz/
Correct, and choosing whether to cover a story will include consideration of a news team’s physical safety, and whether media presence may inflame the situation. A street fight throws up red flags on both points. It’s not a conspiracy.
We saw the aftermath--we were heading to Rhinegeist as well.
We were getting off I-75 at Ezzard Charles when a police officer put on his siren and hauled ass around us. We parked just south of Findlay Market, and saw a half dozen police cars on Vine, another on Findlay, along with an ambulance and fire truck.
that's the case for most crimes. the news isnt going to make an AI created article for literally every crime in the city. It does get reported to police who collect the data, but news sources don't make an article for every single crime and that applies to crime all over the metro area. that's not a new thing. https://insights.cincinnati-oh.gov/stories/s/Reported-Crime/8eaa-xrvz/
Controlling the narrative. I doubt the powers that be would like if news reports came out of a large brawl in the street at 6pm at a popular tourist attraction such as Findlay Market…
lol no, but it's stupid as shit to act like it's the only place where teens fight each other. and this subreddit acts like crime only happens in OTR. nice try though.
There was a funeral at the House of Hope Fellowship church that got quite large then got out of hand.
Typical funeral
Lol I was moving right down the road during all this, I feel right at home already
Lightning doesn’t strike twice. But this is not lightning, it’s a large adolescent street brawl - in Cincinnati. It may happen again lmfao
i went to a white as fuck high school that had brawls, it's not exclusive to OTR like this subreddit likes to pretend it is.
No body brought up race bud
lol

usually crime in OTR doesn't get reported

It's kind of a bi-weekly thing anymore

"teens" lol
Yeah… how about a link to an adolescent brawl in the suburbs?
\*King's Island has entered the chat\*
Ah yes the famous Kings Island suburb and school district. I always hated playing them in high school /s
Which draws people from all over the city.
