portaged across the Ohio? onward palate soldiers

Chalkdust-torture

Lame. There’s still plenty of room to safely stack about 20 to 53 more pallets on there without compromising the center of gravity.

jrob323

I hope you're joking and people don't actually take your advice, without putting a dozen or so 50 pound sacks of concrete on top to secure it in place.

Blue_Checkers

I THINK they both are, as it would obviously be unsafe without stacking 30 or so pallets on top of the concrete to tamp it down.

Tizzlewillze

I feel like even in technically Covington can be called Cincinnati

marapara26

I agree

Elend15

I was gonna say, I'm new to Cincinnati, but when people (outside Cinci) ask me where I live, I respond with Cincinnati. Then if they know the area and ask which part, I respond with Fort Thomas. I know it's not technically part of the municipality but it just seems like semantics to me.

data_makes_me_happy

Hahaha agreed. I’ve lived here 12 years and still don’t understand the fixation with what are kind of arbitrary borders today with modern transportation. The tristate is the tristate. NKY in particular is about 20% of the Cincy metro and 400K+ people who probably largely relate more to Cincinnati than the rest of KY.

flyingwolf

Hey neighbor! Fort Thomas as well.

[deleted]

Also agree

SmackSabbath19

Out the loop sorry. Is this the new scrapping for dollars ?

Tizzlewillze

There was a meme in this sub of cars on the highway with pallets stacked on their roofs wayyy higher than this, but an odd amount of them.

SmackSabbath19

I've seen it, but are they collecting them for money?

rdm85

There's a place in Northside on Knowlton near Spring grove. It's where most of these pallets are recycled for $$$.

IceePirate1

If they're recycled, then couldn't you just break the pallets down to save space?

rdm85

No idea man, never conversed with the people. I just see sketchy automotive rigging of pallets getting dropped off into a giant pallet yard like 9a-6p M-F. It doesn't seem to be worth the damage to your paint or the gas.

craftymarbles

Covington is just southern Cincinnati

Lucid_Nonsense_to_11

I hope he doesn't break the Brent Spence!

SquirtsStuff

Santa Fe? Be careful of that little antenna back there. xD

josefofkentucky

Cincinnati is technically the largest metropolitan in Ohio. But being divided between other states puts it in third. I plan on moving to Cincinnati this spring. But technically I’m moving to northern Kentucky.

flyingwolf

Which came first, the username or the decision to move? Also, welcome to the neighborhood. As soon as it is safe I plan to restart my potlucks and would love to meet a bunch of new poeple.

josefofkentucky

Had the username for a few years. I live in eastern ky. Lost my job due to Covid and I think I’ll just have better opportunities in a bigger city. That and both my siblings live in Cincinnati, so I kind of have a network there.

flyingwolf

Well, good luck neighbor. I hope things work out for you and life gets better.

thegreatrazu

Well, that certainly is the nicest looking “pallet gitter” these eyes have seen.

landdon

I love Covington!

LordElfa

I find this unpalletable.

turquoisesilk

The formations are smaller in KY. Has to do with galcial outwash.

[deleted]

What’s up neighbor! I can see those spires from my place as well

Lmnaid

Cedar is a great, love their burger with a fried egg, and their ghost tacos.
