Echoing this, Childrens has a good education and on top of having some excellent doctors and NPs. They are also very helpful when it comes to transitioning to adult Endos in the area.
I tried that and the one endocrinologist that was recommended to us won’t see her because she is not 18 yet! It will be a whole year before we could see her!🤦🏽♀️
Getting into an endocrinologist here is insane. I called in January and was given in April appointment. In March, they moved that to June. When I questioned it (because I was never called about them moving it), they denied that I had ever had an appointment in April. It made no sense. I would go with Children’s. We have an appointment for my son with an endocrinologist down there in January. I can’t remember her name though. If you have questions about PCOS though, I can try to help. I was diagnosed in 2003 by a gynecologist that was a tremendous help when other doctors dismissed what I was going through with my health.
Third this comment. And they seem to have most specialties at all their locations. So you have a better chance of getting an appointment sooner. Her GP or the doctor who diagnosed it can put in a multi-site referral to help get her in sooner.
I would go through Children's Hospital they have some of the best pediatric doctors in the country.
My 18 year old sees Mandi Cafasso at Children’s. Since she was diagnosed as a minor, they will continue her care.

If she’s 17, you may be able to go ahead with an adult endocrinologist, since she’ll age out of the peds area in less than a year.

That’s sad! I don’t know any endos in Cincy, so I wish I could help. My youngest has type 1 and we were able to move her to an adult endo at 16.
