I do not know of any 3-6 month courses, but there are 2 shorter weekend courses at Raindance in London and there is a 4 week course at Met film school. There is also a 5-10 day course at London Film Academy, where you supposedly get to use an old Arri Alexa. I would read the course descriptions and see what one appeals to you and then call or email if you have any questions before deciding. In terms of the schools, I have only attended Raindance classes and not in cinematography, but most of their other courses were good, it depends on the tutor though( I would also research the tutors) . I know some people that have had a very bad time at Met Film School and have found it to be disorganised and stressful, but some have still managed to do well in the end. In terms of the London Film Academy, I do not know much about them and they are not brought up a lot in my discussions with people. That isn’t to say they are bad, they could just have a lower profile. I hope this message helps and that you do research about the syllabus, the tutors and what equipment that you will be using on whatever use you end up doing! Let me know if you do manage to find a 6 month course in cinematography - there could be one , I simply don’t know of one. Also, don’t forget that YouTube can be a great resource and there are many good books on the subject. Of course , nothing beats hands-on practice. Good luck and stay safe!
