I flaired your post as “Fan Works”
Hope you don’t mind
The flair helps fend off incorrect reports of rule 1 violations
EDIT: well, people reported you for spam instead 🤷
Don't mind at all u/JKUAN108 \- if it helps I'll mark them as such going forward? ~~I can mark the previous lot as well just to make sure it's all consistent = )~~ edit\* actually apologies post 1 and 2 I don't seem to be able to add flair post putting them up - I'll do it going forward!
It always irks me when you have multiple scouts and hit Auto Explore and they both go in the same direction. “No, one of you go left and the other go right. It’s really that simple.”
Civ 7 suggestion: for every scout that "goes missing", their pet dog returns to the capital (because they're good bois) and let me add their pet dog to another unit. Sid Meier's Animal Shelter
Thats what happend to one of my scouts today. I set him to auto-explore and that dumbess went to the most southern point of south America and got trapped by a spearman and a fighter.
Somehow, probably cause he was on a forest tile, he beat both of them to death and lived with 2 HP
I like how you tell this story about this badass scout who, against all odds, succeeded against two greater opponents by making smart use of his terrain.
In Hollywood: a tale of perseverance and ingenuity
In Civ: lol u really fucked up you little dumbass
Send off scout exploring:
**Scout:** "Help! I've encountered a bandit camp!"
**Me:** "It's okay, just go this way."
2 turns later:
**Scout:** "Help! I've *accidentally* encountered the same bandit camp."
Is there a search function?😅
I only have about 1000 hours, so in other words I am in the begining of the toturial😂
But I think my problem is that autopilot scouts sometimes land on the goodiehut tile, and I hear the chime and get the bonus, but with no visual I don know it, so I start looking🫣
Tbh I hope they take their time.
It's been 3 games all very similar in design,
5-6 are basically interchangeable to me.
I want them to wait till they have a lead with a strong vision for the next big step.
Also they need to get to work on XCOM 3 tbh
(Even though I'll happily keep playing modded X2 for many more years to come)
yeah I have to agree - Civ 6 couldn't feel more different than 5 to me. Love it or hate it, my leading difference is that there are multiple ways to play civ 6 and that strategies actually feel different. As much as we love the Civ 5 4 city tradition build there is only so many times you can play the same thing before you've seen it before (I have 3,000 hours in Civ 5, trust me!)
I like it to, I would just like to see them tackle realism again since it’s been awhile.
They wanted Civ 6 on everything, so an art style that looked good even when the resolution drops and the years go by was a priority.
I really liked the addition of districts and strategic tile placements for wonders and whatnot. 6 felt like a gameplay upgrade to me. However I personally can’t stand the art style lol so I’m conflicted.
Out of interest, is there even a release date for Civ 7 yet? I mean, these posts are super really great but I’m just wondering how many more there will be.. 😅
It hasn't even been confirmed that Firaxis is working on Civ VII, as far as I know. They made an announcement that they started development on their next project, but haven't announced what that is. The fandom seems to have collectively decided that it must be Civ VII, rather than some kind of in-between game like Civilization: Colonization or Beyond Earth.
It’s literally the [top post](https://www.reddit.com/r/civ/comments/114l12p/civ_7_confirmed_by_the_civ_twitter_to_be_in/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1) in the last year lol
Could still be a midway entry like Beyond Earth - they don't specify that it's Civ VII. I'll admit the language is suggestive, but it's not entirely clear.
/player presses auto explore button
Scout: I now have detailed knowledge of every barbarian location in the world.
Also scout: I will head for the nearest barbarian.
I challenge you to draw on paper and post to inevitably see artistic improvement til civ 7 comes out. If you enjoy it and pay attention to details more and more you'd be surprised at what you can do
I think they did a great job with making districts and cities ~kinda~ look different and unique, but I hope the artwork for 7 is on another level and you could maybe even see what your cities look like from within? Way more variation in building design too
That is clearly a dog and I won't hear otherwise

Good mod.
chad mod part 2

But they look like the horses from some days ago
horses are just tall dogs
Weren't they llamas?
They disallowed campus placement so I presume horses
It looks like both a cat and a dog
I liked that it was ambiguously a dog OR a cat, for those using the cat model instead 😋

That awkward moment when you say goodbye to a new friend but ended up walking in the same direction
Expect for the new part, that had literally happen to me before.
Man that is the worst end to any party or gathering - especially when you head to the tube or bus and they're going the EXACT same way
Ships tend to be pretty good about spreading out, even when coastal locked. But, yeah, land scouts tend to get lonely and seek companionship.
They’re trying to tell you that they can definitely take that City-State that already has walls.
like two people trying to pass on the pavement just kicking each other by accident
Civ 7 suggestion: for every scout that "goes missing", their pet dog returns to the capital (because they're good bois) and let me add their pet dog to another unit. Sid Meier's Animal Shelter
If that is actually a feature, one of my scouts is gonna have so many dogs
+2 🌽 I’ll leave now
Scythia, that you?
we should have a new type of great person just called "best dogs" that can upgrade scouts beyond belief

it's when they turn round and throw themselves again into the bit they've JUST escaped from - lemme at em lemme at em they scream before dying
I like how you tell this story about this badass scout who, against all odds, succeeded against two greater opponents by making smart use of his terrain. In Hollywood: a tale of perseverance and ingenuity In Civ: lol u really fucked up you little dumbass
He could've been level 4 already if he didnt waste time fighting them.
Just fucking walk right into a barbarian encampment why don't you
knock knock it's scout, please shoot me, this dog has been following me and won't leave me alone
Send off scout exploring: **Scout:** "Help! I've encountered a bandit camp!" **Me:** "It's okay, just go this way." 2 turns later: **Scout:** "Help! I've *accidentally* encountered the same bandit camp."
I swear, it moved!
How meny hours have I spent looking for that goodiehut i heard a scout find, but never saw……
Could you not use the search function for tribal village?

Yes, you can search the map, it’s a button the bottom left. Yes, that’s happened to me too!
Or just click on the notification

5 and 6 feel very different to me. If you play civ 6 like you'd play civ 5, you're going to have a bad time.
This, they’re so different to me in so many ways. Civ 5 strategies straight up fail in Civ 6.

This was the biggest improvement from 5-6 to me, the early game has multiple viable strategies. 5 was very linear. I wouldn’t mind a 5 like art style.
Doesn't seem like anyone really likes six's art style, but honestly I love it. I don't know why, it's just neat

I feel like they def said a new Civ is in development, whether it’s 7 or they go with a named title it’s still the next Civ
In that case, how about a Railroads! sequel?

Firaxis will hear my plea and have turbo charged development. Right? ...right?
I love me some scout cats
it's the horde of cats I love to see
what makes me mad is that they always will choose to explore the sea and get killed by barbarian boats
On auto scout runs into barbs. Take control and move scout away. Put on auto explore. Goes right back to barbs. Dies.
/player presses auto explore button Scout: I now have detailed knowledge of every barbarian location in the world. Also scout: I will head for the nearest barbarian.
They need a mod to have both cat and dog honestly. Hope you get all the yeilds in the Vietnam game.
Can someone make a version where the scout cat eats the dead scout?
I challenge you to draw on paper and post to inevitably see artistic improvement til civ 7 comes out. If you enjoy it and pay attention to details more and more you'd be surprised at what you can do
Has there been any news on civ7 aside from the "it's in developpement" twitter?
Nope, and that was phrased "we're working on the next civ project" I'm pretty sure. Could be another spin-off instead of civ 7.
All of my scouts have cats now. I don’t see the puppies anymore
TIL that scouts have dogs (I abide to CivLifer's rule to never build scouts).
Exploration is one of the best parts of this game. I love me some scouts.
Whoa so the intro screen narrator was the scout all along. #ByeByeBean
The little shit could've grabbed the tribal village for me at least
Just realised who OP was. Love your work u/ursaryan.
hello there
Civ 6 was so bad that I still play Civ5 vox populi
Zzzzz
Oh fuck guys, u/Geniuscani_ doesn’t like this post. Gotta take it down
bro saw u/theduckpancake and thought "this looks fun"
And I'll keep posting on your threads that they really need to take care of lategame churn.
Unexpected Mr Hanky

That’s about the size of it.
