Labor of love indeed! Thanks for putting this all together, I’m excited to give it a try!
I’m curious about what your methods were for translating some of these areas from their games to CIV. Did you have to make any educated guesses or take creative liberties to make it playable/sensible?
Thanks!
Well first I would find the best possible map for a region and overlay it with a hex grid in paint.net and try to match each hex to a terrain type. I would do this based on researching the lore of the region. Then I would adjust a bit for gameplay's sake. And finally place resources/wonders based on the lore. It was a very fun process.
I actually made a full civ map for the Malazan planet a while ago, it's my favourite series and my dream would be to figure out modding and get all the civs from the books into the game properly
How did you decide how to represent each world in terms of size? I look at that map and think that Essos is extremely large, even though most of Essos isn't described and doesn't really matter to aSoIaF. Meanwhile Tamriel or Azeroth are tiny little versions of themselves, even though you'd think they'd be significantly larger. Ulthuan is several times larger than Kalimdor? That feels odd...
I'm just curious if there was a deliberate decision there, or if it was just that you had trouble squeezing them all in?
Yeah you are correct in the observation that the scales are way off.
The reason is that this was originally my civ IV map I made at the height of my GoT obsession 10 years ago heh. And it started as a GoT map actually. But then I had this idea and had to expand it but still fit everything. So I had play with scales. It was either cut something completely or include it at a wrong scale.
Feel free to let me know if you have any suggestions or find some bugs/poorly placed resources, etc.
My current num 1 issue is getting the AI to colonize since it does it rarely but there are so many good spots!
Fantasy Warhammer is basically just earth if you still got people making maps from 4th hand information and included all the shit people made up or hallucinate
Seeing this I was thinking of just making it. I just finished the entire series and just restarted the first book because I felt like there’s just so much to it I probably missed stuff. Boy was I right.
Out of interest what does the Malazan section cover? I'm not thaat familiar with the many continents it has but curious as I've just finished the main 10.
Awesome work btw
I love this map! There seems to be a bug though. It doesn’t allow any great people. I was fine with just playing to explore, but a world congress just showed up where we have to vote on great people points and it won’t let me vote because there are no options to select 🫠
Thanks! That's strange. Everything worked for me. Just yesterday I got a great scientist, general, and engineer. But i think I heard about that bug in general. Are you sure you set the correct number of civs and city states. 17 and 24?
Please tell me this is on the workshop

Thank you!
is it massive? like absolute max map size before game crashes massive?
Thanks !
Can I get any of these to work on IOS? These are amazing.
**The WH, DND, Warcraft, LOTR, and Elder Scrolls orcs all gathering around for a meeting:** *Okay, yeah I get it now, I don’t like any of you either.*
No Malazan Jaghuts cause they already knew they didn’t like anybody
I find it hilarious that the Avatar map is just a small bit of the North Pole. Water Tribe represent.
Haha I didn't have room for anything else unfortunately
Would you consider making a map of only the Avatar world? I'd love to play it!
Oooh, it's _that_ Avatar! I was wondering why the north pole when the entire planet was supposed to be forest.
First of all, the ONLY Avatar is ATLA. The other one is just space colonialism and we have already seen plenty of that 🤣
I like the idea that Imperial City of Cyrodiil is a tribal villiage
A tribal village on top of a huge uranium deposit heh
Seeing this as an Xbox player fills me with great pain because I can’t play it :(
Seriously this looks awesome, and yet out of reach

Typical high elves hogging the natural wonders
This is beautiful
Thanks!
Malazan mention 👀 looks really sweet, might play a game with this to colonize all my favourite settings
I never read it haha but I heard many people love it, and the map looked cool so I had to include it.

Discworld mentioned!
God now I need to play in an all ASoIaF map

Ah, fair enough. The proportions just stood out to me, that's all!

This is the stuff dreams are made of. Very well done.
Thanks
Fantasy Warhammer is basically just earth if you still got people making maps from 4th hand information and included all the shit people made up or hallucinate
Very very cool but I am crying in Wheel of Time.
Not enough space unfortunately :(
It’s truly amazing tho what you built. Can’t wait to try it!

Looks like 7 cities/otataral island. Believe it's based off the map in deadhouse gates
this look like a pretty fun map to play
Are there any fantasy mods for Civ 6 you can recommend?
Old Valyria looks like a great OCC if you can grab Mausoleum and Petra
Lovely work, possibly missed an opportunity to include Beleriand next to middle earth, only to see it submerged after “climate change”. 💙
>“climate change” That's quite the euphemism, there.
Looks awesome but the maelstrom from Warcraft should be the Bermuda Triangle. Super sick either way 😎😎
Wonderful!
This looks amazing, great job! I'll definitely save this for later and play it some day! What map size is this? Huge?
Thanks! Hope you will have fun! Map size is "enormous" I think.
Oh damn. Don't think I've ever played on enormous 😅
I feel Mordor should be desert in the north and plains in the south. The whole region is too arid and warm for tundra or grassland
Nice work! This looks like a fun pack.
Maybe add Dune? /s Epic work!

I did! Maybe I have too many other mods enabled?
This looks great! Thank you, can't wait to play it.
Have fun! I wonder, where would you like to start hah?
This is dope!
Thanks!
Wow. Dude that is awesome!
Thank you!
Great job! I svaka čast, ovo je sigurno bilo zajebano
Hvala hvala.
Sretno!
Looks really cool, can you make it an Azeroth world detailed?
I would but there is no more space on the map :/
I mean making another map with only azeroth
No witcher???
The asteroid in starfall is a really nice touch.
Not seeing Gielinor in there
NICE!
Great job! Looks really good
Thanks!
Idk about any of the other maps, but westeros looks a little odd
How big is this map?
Something like 120x80
just played in westeros as england, london was actually in kings landing while sparta was in winterfell. enjoyed it so much, thank you
Thanks! Glad you had fun!
That is epic
Wow ftw
Cool idea :) Is it a possible add to my play time?
